Also got it - I checked my messages before buying eva, just in case - and then I picked up Olympia-8, the only gen-8 pro bundle I didn't own as part of yesterday's purchase. So now I own all the gen-8 pro bundles and qualify for the banner I guess.
Some really nice renders here!
Thought I'd throw out my own comparison render pair, first one is everything on the default, second one is just setting it to low translucency. Pose, expression, hair, and dress are all from the pro bundle.
I thought the hair was included too. That is very upsetting if it is Not.
@serenenight - When I started to render, I didn't realize you'd specified Michael so I just used Kieron. I've gone back and rendered the clothing on Michael as well. The first three are examples of the clothing on Michael. I don't know why some of the buttons are floating. I didn't use dforce.
Two things? Complaining and cats? Since when are cats banned here?
Hi Jaki, can answer that for you. Just got that purple banner myself too and started to write to cc since I bought Eva yesterday and I reclicked the banner and saw in small writing that the extra 10% excludes Eva 8 Pro Bundle but works with everything else in the sale. Was thinking maybe because I just got it is because I didn't at the time have the Stephanie 8 Pro to complete my collection which I add as my g8 freebie been wanting that for awhile. BTW yesterday I grabbed the Eva 8 Pro, HD add on and Strong Will Expressions (got two free extra bundles) had the 30% off loyalty discount as well, which made it $65.13 and in our Aussie $s $91.90. Oh and in other products the price you see with the 30% off the price inour amount ends up being about the same price shown on the sales page so %16 US - %30 = $16 our money

Caitlyn And Jax
Description
Caitlyn and Jax from the Eva 8 Pro Bundle
Made with...
I know that 10% wasn't valid on the Eva 8 Pro but what we were saying is that the 10% isn't working on anything in the sale, as noted by the banner - as it says "when you purchase the Eva 8 pro bundle". So putting something in the cart tonight WITHOUT the pro bundle (as I got it yesterday), we're NOT getting the 10% off new releases/still new releases.
I started using Virtual Worlds Dynamics instead of dForce. This simulation solution allows to glue vertexes together, but it‘s much more complicated than dForce. But maybe it helps you fixing your buttons issue.
Wait...hold your horses. I think the 10% is working on new releases/still new releases. The sale page says extra 10% for those who buy or have bought Eva 8 Pro, and yes, that is working, along with the loyalty discount. The banner says also gift cards but that is the one that isn't working.
And if I'd got the banner yesterday when a lot of other people did, I would have got 10% off the two products (that were not Eva 8 pro), but I don't think I did.
Thanks. That looks better to me than it does on eva.
I only asked for Michael since he has morphs and sometimes problems are easier to see. Looks good. Thanks.
Yay! First go around with Eva! Specifically Treassa for Eva 8. Pretty close to out of the box, the only things I turned on were Normal Maps and 50% Translucency.

that is very nice looking. the hair looks really dense to me..more so that a lot of others..maybe why its so intense. i guess it wont even run on my system. too bad it wasn;t possible to swap out items in a bundle.
Yeah that is too bad. I just bought the hair only (not Eva or any bundle) and I only need to worry about getting a refund for just that if I have to. I think it'll be fine tho :)

Thank you xyler0 I already had that outfit but have not used it yet
I like her! The hair uses a lot of RAM but does render quickly on my laptop.
Rendered in 3Delight.
Wow, sheesh! Thanks for that, was having a very hard time finding it.
Amen
wow Octane really hated that fibermesh bob hairdo, it was using all my CPU and RAM as well as my card, iray actually coped better
you really need to leave it off or hide it with the openGL viewport moving around to
Just an out-of-the-box test - Eva, the burlesque outfit from the Olympia 8 bundle, and the IDG portrait studio lighting and paper roll. The main image took 28 minutes using both my 980 TI and 1080 TI. The full face close up I killed at 52 minutes and 3076 iterations - and zero per cent convergence. I could have killed the render 30 minutes earlier, here wasn't that much change in that time span.FWIW, this was with the 4.11 beta.
I love that the tattoos work on any figures... WOO!
Also, as usually, i completely avoid the weird orange glow main character skins. I have never, ever, ever met a person with that skin color other than the current president, and it's not what i would consider a normal skin tone.
So here's Eva, wearing the new outfit that i totally adore, and my character skin Olena. Just a wip in progress
namffuak - Those look good! But yeah, I've noticed recently that I set Daz to stop rendering at 2000 if it's going above 3000 iterations and I can barely ever tell the difference between that or a full convergence. It saves so much time, and if I can see a tiny bit of noise, I just throw it into FCX and use Neat Video's denoiser thing I have and it takes it right out.
DisparateDreamer - She looks great with that skin! And I'm really digging the outfit. That's the one item that I got really excited about with her release. And I'm excited the tattoos work on other characters! I have to wait until tomorrow to pick anything up, gotta wait for my direct deposit to go through, anything the first week of the month is rough to snag right away. But tomorrow I'll be able to snag stuff. Looking forward to seeing more stuff!
Love the Jax character with her tattoo! The outfit, poses and expressions are all from the pro bundle, too:
Greg
Whoa, that looks amazing! How did you get it to look like a drawing? I love it.
Deliver us from EVA!
Not exactly the best looking in the G8 gene pool, but she's a nice addition.
Here's a render I did for Novica's thread, reviewing Eva 8 and the dForce City Seduction Outfit:
The Cute Bob Hair rendered twice as fast as it did for my ealier tests. Two things changed. 1) I pulled the camera back for the long shot, and 2) DS was closed when I decided to render the full-length shot, so this was rendered as the first thing I did after opening DS and loading the file. Either one or both could have made the difference.
Sorry if my question is answered elsewhere - I've looked, but didn't see an answer.
What is the sleeveless quasi-scifi-tactical outfit Eva is wearing in the base figure pic?
Do you mean this one:https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4169376/#Comment_4169376 ?
Tactical Assault Outfit with added textures.
I haven't had much luck with Eva 8's skin. I looked at the textures, and they do have some nice detail in them, but I need to figure out how to unlock this detail, because her default settings just don't do that. But I made a render using the low translucency settings. I also tried the Cute Bob hair that has been terrorizing users' PCs. For one thing, the textures are all 4K textures...for a fiber mesh hair? They don't need to be. So compress those things down. I compressed them to about 1MB in size, down from around 6-8MB. That helps a little. I also turned OFF Eva's normal maps. I didn't think they were adding anything, they might be too strong. Bump maps can handle the detail here. I stopped the render after 6 minutes, it had reached 61% by that point. I have a 1080ti+970, and I'm sure the 970, so not an overpowered machine.
After messing with the surfaces, I couldn't find something I liked. So I tried a different skin.
This is BJ Murphy's skin, everything else is exactly the same. She looks totally different, and I like it. It shows nice detail on the skin, and what I really like is that this detail is only visible when the light hits it just right. Which is is how it should be. Because if you bake that detail into the color diffuse texture, it will show up at every angle (provided the translucency does not overpower it) For Murphy the color texture does not have this detail baked in (like Eva 8 does). Instead the color textures are fairly lackng in such detail.. The bumps have their information, and the reflective maps have the top layer detail that you see reflected here.
I want to see this in a Daz Original model. This is what most of the 8 DO series has been missing. If you can get skin like this on a Daz Original it will be one of the best selling DO's ever.
Here is Eva with Murphy's skin SETTINGS, but using her original skim texture. This is using some of Murphy's reflective maps and bumps.
