She looks like Daz was trying not to give us another cute girl without distinction. I suspect that if her HD is dialed to maximum at SubD=4 with the right hairstyle, she will look like a badass.

Has anyone tried the character morph without using Eva as a base? Or maybe with good old Vicky 8 as the base instead?

Just faced the hard fact that I bought too much from DAZ. The new bundle with Eva8 gives me the impression "Been there, done that". Nothing new or unique enough to buy, compared to the masses of stuff I already own.
Yeh, I'm in the same position. I own all the giveaway bundles and even the gift card discount ofee is of little use because I would have to pay cash for Eva 8 Pro instead of using the credit I bought at the start of the Holiday sale. Overall, this is a pass for me.
I wish the same promo was available for when they released Lee - I just don't want anything in Eva's bundle besides the base character. Not to mention, the items on the Christmas sale page today are just too good to not spend there :)
I don't think Eva 7 could have had such a distinctive face and still have everyone liking her, and even I can see why there were those that didn't. She had a head start with me though because she looked so much like a neighbour from when I was a kid. This neighbour was a police woman, who caused endless amusement in the street because of her belief that she was the next Angie Dickinson, from the US TV series 'Police Woman', which was doing the rounds at the time. She thought she looked, sounded and behaved just like her, even though she was a British redhead and Angie was an American blonde. I know I'm probably fond of Eva 7 for all the wrong reasons :)

I'm not overly impressed with the base character from the promo images - a lot of the shots look fairly unnatural either in skin tone or the expressions just don't sit right on her face. A bit of a shame, given that Eva 7 is probably my favourite of the Genesis 3 base characters.
Still, this is still looking like a fairly easy buy for me once I work out exactly what to put in the cart, as I like most of the Pro Bundle, I'd been sitting on a couple of Still New releases for a couple of days waiting for a deal I liked, and it lets me clear up several of the older Pro Bundles I don't already have.
Exactly which Pro Bundles that is may be a challenge. I'm trying to convince myself to slow down on buying characters, seeing as they can all be blended together and layered with whichever materials (not that said argument is necessarily working...), so I think it's going to be a case of focusing on hair and outfits.
The promo page states that the Eva 8 Pro Bundle doesn’t qualify as one of the two required add-ons for the free items AFTER December 4th, which makes it sound like it does qualify ON December 4th as one of the two items. My cart doesn’t reflect this and I have to add another item to get the Gen 3 bundles free. Is this a glitch or is it correct?
I like Eva. I like the sci-fi theme too. There are images in her promo that make her look artificial in a way I have trouble putting my finger on though..but I think it is her small sharp eyebrow and her facial features.
I love the bundle deal too.... I would’ve loved that deal offered with male characters..
Looks like Generation 3's least memorable character makes a comeback to balance the ratio of orange skinny caucasian girls vs pale skinny caucasian girls.
Well, I do admit that the character looks fine overall (except for Gen 8's trademark orange tint) and her bundle looks also fine, even though I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a theme there (just going by her promos I would have said 'punk' but it seems they went for 'all over the place' instead). Another pretty and technically well crafted character.
I'm just not sure what niche she or her bundle is going to fill. I guess that means staying true to the original in a way.
Still, I'd rather Bethany or Rune or Lilith or even Karen make a comeback, at least they would add something this generation doesn't really have yet.
Do you mean the Holiday Loyalty sale? Your comment confuses me since the new releses for the HLS is identical to the items in the Eva 8 ad... and it's not hard to imagine the DAZ store these days to run a sale and forget to put up any links for it. Especially since Renderosity just did it with two sales. :/

"She brings a unique face, body shape, and personality to the Genesis 8 family" - sorry I don't really see any of that. Her face is yet another variation on Vicky 8. Eva 7 was one my favourite Genesis 3 characters given her unique face.
Now I'm disappointed that there's no "Be The Orange" tattoo. :p But thank you!
Her skin doesn't look realistic to me, and the brows are...well...those brows.
Passing on even the base character. Besides, I have the Eva 7 base character and I don't think I've even used her more than twice.

Thanks to everyone who took time out to tell us that they won't be buying this, I don't know what we'd do without knowing that.
I don't care how many times posts like mine get pulled, I do not understand why people feel the need to proclaim that they won't be buying something, not to mention saying it's "cringeworthy" or nothing special. Maybe if your art got described that way one day, you'd think twice about saying it about someone else's.
DAZ sees the sales numbers, they don't need to count the forum comments to know if something isn't selling well.
