a bit of goofing around, not technically a super hero but i remember these guys from comics and cartoons.....

Fine looking Goon you got there. Just waiting for a spinach-eating swabbie to sail by.

I used to have a Black Cat outfit for V4 but now I can't find it anywhere. Any one know where one can be found?

Sorry. Just looked for it myself and can't find it. But, I am pretty sure I know where it used to be. The old Animotions website before it updated to it's current version. Thus, it was lost.

actually i just found the zip last night ( I never throw anything away) after spending a week searching my down loads for every possible spelling variation of The Black Cat, i found it simply labeled "Cat", why that didn't show up when i searched for black cat is beyond me, go windows.

Sadly after all that its not as good as i remember it. I may try to modify it some or maybe just piece together my own.

Let me add to it, I recognized it first thing this morning but didn't have time to comment. Great job. It would be interesting to see if any of the other characters could be made to look as close.

Guess it's time for this long-time-lurker to join the fun. :)
Currently working on an oldskool Storm outfit, i always loved that uniform. Sure brings back memories, iirc the first X-Men i bought was 'Days of Future Past', i think it was around 1981-82.

Still plenty to do, but i wanted to share a wip.

Oh you can just taste the David Cockrum influence! Great Job all around!!

The Goon was a bit of an accident, I was messing about with Freak 4 and after a few minutes i though, hey this looks a bit like the Goons from Popeye, then i got playing a bit to see if i could get the character closer to the Goon. I may try some other Popeye characters, i have some ideas for how to do them. The tools in Poser Pro 2014 really help to create some unique characters.

Well your Popeye rocks! Go for it! I think one of Aprils hair styles will work for her. Can't remember the name of it though off hand!

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging comments, much appreciated.
Playing around with different fabrics and shaders now. This might take a while to get right, so many references and they're all different

This is definitely the most fun i've had so far with Marvelous Designer.

Storm looks so so good. Great work there. So that's all Marvelous Designer then? You've created a super masterpiece with that software! :-)

Thank you guys, you're too kind. :red:
I don't believe i can turn it into a conforming outfit, but i won't mind sharing the MD-files when i'm done. Unfortunately the MD3 beta expires in a few days, so it'll be wait and see for now...

All except the feet from the boots, had to cheat my way through that with the Boots for Supersuit. You can't really do rigid objects in MD. Besides that i think it's the best software ever for creating 3D clothes, although it took me a while before i could make anything else than a potato sack. :-D

Interesting, so do you have to pose it in MD, or run a cloth sim in Poser? How does the cape work?

If it's made for Genesis then you just save the outfit/costume out as a obj and have it auto rig in DS (if you use DS) and will work great. The cape though wouldn't do well since, currently, there is no auto cape rigging offered (would be nice).

I import the posed genesis as a morph target, MD will animate the clothing through the morph animation.
The fabric of the cape is set to 'leather belt', so it won't collapse immediately but rather try to unfold itself. As soon as the morphing simulation has run, i freeze the entire outfit except the inner part of the cape. At that point the cape is captured in place by the yellow rim, and you can start to apply different fabrics ('chiffon' for example) to the cape and add some wind, till you get a nice result.

Yeah, it's the cape that i was concerned about. Having it attached to the armbands makes it even harder to rig.

Went with a serious Guy Gardner, though I strongly considered doing a "one punch" render or one with guy giving a energy construct finger to the viewer.
