  • To answer one of the earlier questions - no, you can't just autofit G8 clothes to it.  It's not a morph of G8 like the hedgehog is.

  • A new dog is so exciting!  Looking forward to more breeds such as German Shepherds, Malinois, etc.  And my kingdom for spitz breed morphs with poofy coats... though my chances of having a digital Keeshond are probably slim.

A feather tail is going to require something like LAMH or similar.

That is what I figured or postwork, but that doesn't mean I could not "wish" for it since many others are putting out their wishes.

I have a small white pomeranian and a black dog cross of chihuahua and pug, please create them

    Yes wonderful!
I've been waiting for a dog forever! And such lovely breeds too. Now I'm just hoping for more breeds, like a poodle and a chihuahua for instance.

And then perhaps the cat in july :)

I am very happy to see a dog (even if I already have the HW dog and the Mildog) and will get it.

Which poses for the Dog8 do you prefer from yesterday's offer? There are 9 different packs. THANK YOU.

not an easy one cause they all have good poses (just like everything else in the sale choosing what to buy) but in the poses I bought the Comical Canine and My Homework pose sets for some fun cute poses which remind of how my two German Shepards act but they're all good really and some of the prop products have poses too

Think there is enough right now for a "Dogs Playing Poker" scene!

thought about that but then thought someone would beat me to it but then I haven't seen anyone do it yet

sorry can't find who mentioned this to quote them but someone mentioned Higgins and his dogs from Magnum PI (my human poses)anyway was looking through the poses to answer question for someone else and noticed the pose set that had that cool render no longer has that render for some reason don't know why it's been pulled deleted now there's just the standard plain purple female blue male sitting on air with the two dogs either side of her/him. Still some renders for the product but that was a good promotion seller

What I am wanting for the Dog 8 is the option/ability for a feather tail - I'm hoping that is a correct term for it.  I am talking of the tail that has has the fur loger hanging down off the tail.

There's a "Tail Full" morph, but that just produces a big chunky lump. As Oso says, anything requiring fluffiness just won't look right without LaMH or an outright fibermesh addon.

The promo referred to is one of those for Base Dog 8, it is still there.

How well does it sit? I was never really able to get a good sitting pose out of many DAZ critters, the back legs always looked a bit weird.

The pose itself is in the "My Human" set.

    Dapper dog!

Rabid 3 News featuring the DAZ Dog 8

I'm not keen on dogs but I like the DAZ Dog 8, They don't bark and they don't bite. laugh

Also the Action NewsCenter is a good model although I would have liked it if the author had included a 3 point light setup for the newscaster rather than me needing to make one or as I did use the BOSS Lighting set again.

Nice! Wolf Blitzer moved to Fox News.

LOL, I've not seen Wolf Blitzer or his cohorts on CNN or any news channel since the 90s. And who ever is there now I've never seen. The growling watchdog is a good reminder to stay away.

A wise policy that I likewise adopted in 2001, though my mother has "news" on every waking hour when I visit her.

Well that's a case of Orchard Music needing a counter suite for frivolously abusing the public. Being a passive-agressive entity using cries of wolf to abuse and intimidate the innocent is illegal too. The jurisdictions in question, likely all in the USA and/or the EU I'm pretty sure, should have a central database of such activities and do some mathematical crunching on that database. They'd quickly figure out when places like Orchard Music are abusing the public with lawsuits that amount to lies.

So it seems like each dog breed has its own UV set, meaning you can't use fur from one on another??? If so, is there a work around?

Also, can you mix breeds? Are the heads and bodies separate like with humans? Can you use dials to mix things like ears or snout to create new mutt breeds? Thanks.

why DAZ why? did you not learn with Genesis 2 angry

and yes map transfer but still why?

and export base obj, in morphloader loader click attenuate by head under surface or weights, you can createa temporary surface or use a dformer to do this on export

The different uvs have been optimized for different body shapes. Nothing stops you from mixing textures, but you will particularly notice problems applying short eared skins on long earned dogs.

Oso Fur is procedural so uv doesn’t matter much, if you want to mix more.

If you own the breed then you have the corresponding UV set, so any breed can wear that skin. I assume the textures are optimized for the particular breed to avoid texture stretching, but on a quick check, they look fine on other breeds. The breeds are full body morphs without separate head/body, but there’s nothing to stop you mixing them up and the base dog comes with numerous morphs.

I was ALMOST able to make a passable staffie with the base morphs, but I can't get the stop low enough. Mind you, about 2 mins in a modeling program could fix it.

A Stafforshire Terrier, and a "stop" is the point where the dog's muzzle meets their forehead.

A Staffie is a Staffordshire Terrier. It looks similar to a bull dog.

A stop is the degree of change between the dog's eyes & nasel bone.

I know nothing about such things I looked them up.
