Thank  you to the guys for sharing their fur presets. Really appreciate it! yes

I'd like to second that. I don't buy animals anymore if they don't have hair, and not knowing there were LAMH options for D8, I've never bought any of the products. Now they are all going in the cart ... :)

Reading back through this thread, and before I spend the money on all the dog breeds so I can Frankenstein a Weimaraner breed ... do I indeed need all of the breeds to get all of the morphs or dog the base dog already have all of the morphs I'll need?

Today is the day to buy before my deadline ... can anyone answer the above question?

According to the Readme the base Dog comes with some morphs to change it  ,but getting the breeds will give you even mor variations  here's the readme list link

I'm trying to use the base morphs to create an acceptable interpretation if this real dog. How do I get the ears broader and the looser skin at the neck and chest?

@WillowRaven ,I really think you'll either need the breed morphs or be able to create your own morphs .........I've got all the breeds so in the "Ear" section it has ear width and a propagation scale  plus other dials but I think those are ones you need  for the ear adjustments ,plus deepen chest and make the neck a bit thicker wrinkles you might have to do in post but what you've got looks very close to me

I bought all of the breeds available and am still having trouble getting the ears and head right ... the breed is theorized as a mix between a Doberman and a Hound Dog. I made some changes to the chest, and can't figure out how to do that 'elbow' on the back of the front legs. But more than anything, I need the ears right ... more elephanty, lol.

You've gonna into the shaping tab -Ears ? I think you can get that elbowylook more with the poseing on the leg than shaping .

shaping tab? I've just used regular parameter morphs

Did you try Long ear base ? and or  propagating scale? and then try using Posing to get that perk forward look of the ears

It's the width at the tops of the ears I'm not able to get ... that dumbo-floppy feel.

Did you try the "Ears Floppy(base only) dial?

yep ... ears floppy 100% ... I don't see a way to make the top of the ear wider, more elephant-like

  • carrie58carrie58 Posts: 4,175

Okay I have to say I don't understand why you would want the ear to look like an elephants ,if you look at a hounds ear they are wide at the base but not wide like an elephants ......

  • WillowRavenWillowRaven Posts: 3,787

lol ... I mean wider than what the morphs are allowing me to do unless I'm missing something... I don't mean exactly like an elephant...just more floppy/real looking, like in the picture

  • carrie58carrie58 Posts: 4,175

I think if you can get some pictures from the side and the back of the dog in the photo that you are actually as close as is possible to that look .......

Have you tried disabling the limits on the morph, or just manually scaling the bones?

  • WillowRavenWillowRaven Posts: 3,787

I'll see if there is a width morph to disable limits on, but I don't remember one. How do I scale the bones? Never had cause to learn that before.
