@ Kattey, yes hon, the panel will be color coded when I release the pack eventually. I knew about the color coding but never delved into use it, now I'm glad I did.

As currently I have no desire to buy G2F Morphs and with Genesis 2 offering such small functionality, comparatively to my morph collection of two years, I started to wonder if I can transfer Genesis morphs to Genesis 2 Female in order to give her some morphability.
Turned to be I can and although the result might be not 100% precise (I have no Gen-X utility to check that process on Gen 4-to-Genesis variation) and drastic morphs will need Bone Adjustment and ERC freeze it worked pretty well for basic human unisex morphs like Pear and Stocky.
Update: there are four more tutorials below that allow to transfer any morph (not only unisex) from Genesis to G2F but they are somewhat more complex.
For this I need Genesis 2Female Essential (free), DS 4.5 (free and probably the process will work in DS 4.6 too), My Genesis (i.e. Genesis 1, with those many morphs I have). I use a temporary intermediate figure to transfer morphs so I won't screw anything up in figures.
1. Load G2F, set it to Base Resolution and 0 Subdivision. Export as Obj (only Ignore Invisible Nodes are checked, everything else is unchecked). I used Hexagon scale (1 unit = 1 cm), on 100% scale. Scale of import and export should be consistent from now on, but I suspect it can be any scale.
I exported it as G2F Base LR.obj
2. Load My Genesis into DS 4.5. Dial Basic Female Morph 100% and several adjustment morphs to get the shape as close to G2F as you can (I used only Arms Length around -0.0026, Hands Propagation Scale L/R around -20% but it can be done better with hips and breast morphs). I did nothing with pose, leaving hands curled as they are.
My Genesis is then set to Base Resolution and 0 Subdivision.
Delete G2F figure.
3. Load G2F Base LR.obj with a proper scale.
4. Open Transfer Utility. Select My Genesis as a Source and Shape as 'Current' (it is important). Select G2F Base LR.obj as a target and Shape as 'Current' (don't know if it is important or not)
a) Projection Template None
b) Show Option: Leave everything checked as it is (don't know if it is important), but select Morph Targets.
c) Check Source Morphs (it is important) and uncheck Projection Template Morphs (don't know if it is important).
I also used Use Near Vertices about 500% but again, don't know if it is important.
d) Select Reverse Source Shape from Target (it is important)
Uncheck Fit to Source Figure for your comfort. Don't add smoothing modifier yet.
Click accept.
5. Wait until it is done. It might be a lengthy process, depending on how many morphs My Genesis has.
6. After it is done you should have a a lot of morphs in your newly made G2F Base LR figure. They are usually messy, with no proper Shape categories, so I used search selector to find Stocky morph and dial it 100%
Delete My Genesis from the scene or make it invisible so the only visible figure on your scene is G2F Base LR. Make sure it is Base Resolution and Subdivision 0, with no smoothing modifier.
7. Export Stocky shape as obj, on the same scale as it was comfortable for you before. I got G2F Stocky LR.obj
8. Load G2F back on scene.
9. Open Morph Loader Pro (in my DarkSide layout it and Morph Loader Advanced have the same icon, MLP located below MLA). Select G2F Stocky LR.obj as a loaded morph. The scale of import should be consistent with a scale of export before.
Name the morph as something nice, say G1 Stocky.
Under Property Group right click and Create new property group. Select Actor and in a line under type Actor/Gen 1 Universal/Real World. Later you can just select it as a already existing Property.
Make sure that Reverse Deformation is checked as 'yes'.
Leave everything else like it is.
Press ok.
10. Now you have a morph :) You can make it more organized with Property Editor but I'm yet to figure how to create groups in it.
Again, for drastic morphs you'll need to follow Bone Adjustment and ERC freeze tutorial (starting from step 9).
11. Repeat steps 6 to 10 for any morph you wish to transfer.
12. When you happy with organizing, Save new morphs as Morph assets and save modified G2F with all new fancy groups as Support Assets/Save Modified Assets (or as a separate figure through Figure/Prop Assets)
Some notes.
I have no DS 4.6 installed so I might not catch the subtle rigging differences between G2F in DS 4.5 and 4.6. Can anybody with DS 4.6 try that process and say if anything is messed up? I'm also not sure about fingers. They seem to curl and pose ok for me in DS 4.5 but I don't know how they supposed to be posed in DS 4.6.
With more additional steps and loops it might be possible to eliminate of Genesis 1 full body morphs influence on G2F face altogether in case if there is any.
For subtler morphs, like Finesse Details you might want to set morph value for export in step 6 as 150% of more to boost up the details a a bit, depending on what you want.
Expressions, pose controls and everything that affects inner mouth might not work properly.
This method works best for gender neutral morphs. For Gender specific morphs (like Victoria 4) the process will have to be modified a bit because otherwise you'd get a boobs too huge and waist too slim. I'm trying to figure the process but if anybody has any ideas, you are welcome to share. Male morphs, obviously, don't work as well at all for now but I think it is possible to make Genesis 2 Base morph because there is a Genesis autofit clone for G2F already, as I think.
Pictured is Genesis 2 Female with Finesse Details 100% (boosted as 150% from Genesis 1) and G1 Pear 75%.
Ok, I finally sat down to do this. I've run into a snag, though. When I get to step 4c, I don't see Source Morphs or Projection Template Morphs anywhere in the Transfer Utility interface. I've attached a screengrab of my settings (I didn't use the same name you did for the .obj, but I wouldn't think that would matter.)
Finally got around to creating the G1 shape for G2F and the G2F clone for G1. Thanks for these tutorials. As noted earlier, there is distortion the more drastic the shape (even dialing in V4 on G1 distorts the G2F top horribly), but at least it works well on characters such as the teens.
I used the transfer utility, worked like a charm for the most part, but certain morphs do not seem to translate well, most notably rawarts creature morphs, there is noticeable warping in the head when you try to turn or bend. (from the bones in the jaw I suspect?) plus the eyes go wonky when you use dials to move them, they need to be corrected manually. Luckily, I never saved that. I'll wait to see if there's either a gen-x fix, or a Rawart update, otherwise, I'll use G1 for any creature type characters.
You need to click on the line that says Morph Targets to select it. Then the Source Morphs or Projection Template Morphs will show up.
Thanks, it's transferring now. Hopefully I'll be able to do a test render soon. I've never used the transfer utility before, so I never thought to click on the name on the left to get more options show on the right. Lack of sleep didn't help, either. I feel a lot better this morning.
Thanks very much for posting the steps for getting G1 morphs into the G2 figure. I don't know how you managed to work all that out, but I am really grateful for it. I have saved the scene with the G2 .obj file loaded with morphs, so that I can load this and transfer morphs over to G2 as and when I need them. It really adds to the versatility of G2 at this early stage.
Ok, I managed to transfer...something. I transferred the Stocky morph, and it is showing up in my Genesis 2 Female morphs. But all it does is move the figure along the X axis. Oh well, I'll play around some more. I'll get it right eventually.

does this work for poser too,or is there a way to do that tranfer textures from v4 to v6
does this work for poser too,or is there a way to do that tranfer textures from v4 to v6
This method heavily relies on DS capabilities and I don't know what principles Genesis uses to work in Poser. Theoretically, if you can somehow make Genesis low-res mesh to confirm to G2F rigging and shape and be able to transfer morphs to Genesis mesh in Poser from G2F, the algorithm itself would work. But last Poser I had is version 7 and it wasn't possible in there, and I don't know about newer Poser versions.

It's possible that when you did the ERC freeze the 'Property' box in the 'Control Property Selection' was still on the default rather than the 'FBMStocky' morph. I find I have to go through the list and pick the appropriate morph name if I'm updating the bones for a current morph.

I have them. It occured to me while I was outside that I had read somewhere that the Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials had been updated a day or so after their release, so I'm downloading and reinstalling.
I tried the other method that was posted, with mixed results; the morphs didn't show up in the Genesis 2 shaping tab, but when I selected Genesis, the morphs affected Genesis 2. Weird.

I don't think I did; I don't even know what ERC freeze is. I appreciate all the help everyone is giving, though. I'll get it sooner or later.

I have followed the instructions in post #7 and get strange behavior from DS 4.6.0.18 64 bit when attempting to open the new .dsf.
The screen flashes a couple of message boxes too quickly to read and nothing loads, the log file has the following entry:

It was. It didn't help, though. When I use your method, the morphs only move the figure along the x axis; when I use Ben's method, it appears to transfer the morphs, but they never appear. I've gone over the instructions repeatedly to make sure I'm not missing anything. I'm going to sleep on it and see if I have better luck tomorrow.
Here is my shot at using the Transfer Utility Tool to transfer genesis and V4 morphs. She is blended with a bit of Genesis, G2F, and V4 morphs. I as of yet had good luck with transferring TY5 with out the issues with eyes and fingers. I may take the time and go though the steps in correcting it as outlined here, but just a little lazy at the moment. Then I just may wait till GenX is updated which will simplify things.
Beside that, this one turned out quite well (minus any YT5) and not have funky fingers or goofy eyes.
Oh, she stands at a whopping 5'-3" if anyone is wondering!
Enjoy!
broncomech, did you name the morph OriginalGenesis morph?
Did you add all commas on the end of the replacement strings?
How did you save your G2F, by "Save Modified Assets" or "Save morph"?
timnaas, glad to see it :)
riftwitch, it is very strange indeed. Which DS build are you using?
broncomech, did you name the morph OriginalGenesis morph?
I must have missed something as I have not created any morph to name yet....... guess I should follow the steps in post #1 before expecting anything else to work properly

No, tutorial in post 1 is a standalone tutorial. Post 7 where OriginalGenesis morph is created doesn't need to rely on it.
Neither yet….have to back up 6 steps and try again.
You don't have to save your main G2F figure. When you created the morph, just Save As -> Assets -> Morph Assets and select OriginalGenesis morph. Don't forget to do Bone Adjustments/ERC Freeze

I downloaded and installed the latest build yesterday. I wonder if it's just me; the text in Studio is really tiny to my eyes.

Text in DS like where? I'm not noticing anything unusual in my build.

RAMWolff, I was meaning that you could color panels way earlier than G2F started to color them, it isn't a new feature.
So it means that your freebie Genesis pack won't get multicolored treatment?
What is "RAWN’s fabulous pose pack" and how do I get it? Is it in the store?
@ Kattey, yes hon, the panel will be color coded when I release the pack eventually. I knew about the color coding but never delved into use it, now I'm glad I did.

I found out that sometimes if two morphs have the same name only one of them is actually active on the figure (seems to be the one native to it). In this case just before the transfer open morph with small gear and add any symbol to it, like say, FBMStocky_G and Stocky_G
background, you are very welcome, I'm glad it worked for you :)
does this work for poser too,or is there a way to do that tranfer textures from v4 to v6

Check if G2F is fit to Genesis (like conforming clothes would)
This is a really great post. Thanks for sharing it :)
I have followed the instructions in post #7 and get strange behavior from DS 4.6.0.18 64 bit when attempting to open the new .dsf.
The screen flashes a couple of message boxes too quickly to read and nothing loads, the log file has the following entry:
WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(4359): Could not find modifier definition.
WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(1301): Failed to prepare modifier!
WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(1310): Failed to create modifier!

Instructions in post #7 step 1 to 3 completed all comas are in place.
No, tutorial in post 1 is a standalone tutorial. Post 7 where OriginalGenesis morph is created doesn't need to rely on it.
Okay, maybe I am stupid but, WHERE do I get the Genesis 2 figure in the first place?!
I downloaded and installed the latest build yesterday. I wonder if it's just me; the text in Studio is really tiny to my eyes.

Text in DS like where? I'm not noticing anything unusual in my build.
