Evidently the strategy today is to have super brief flash sales and have the store running so slow that by the time the page refreshes, the sale has passed. :)
Maybe they're training us for 1-click checkout like amazon and paypal. "See how many products you can click on before the sale ends".
i love today's sale. There isn't a single item I want! Woo hoo! No temptation for another day.
(Or should I say, "Phew!" instead of woo hoo?)
But for the rest of you, looks like a good day to grab some of that older content in you Wishlist!

I did look through "all" of the "Best of the Best" characters (a total of less than 4 pages for me), from V4 to G3, and only found 2 products I had wishlisted. So, pass.
I have to say I hate today’s sale and I start to hate how I’m treated by DAZ. Here’s G3/V7, now buy a lot of extras to be able to use it. Here’s G8/V8, buy the extras again. All OK, but today’s Victoria for Victoria and Olympia for Olympia products are nothing less then an offense. I liked old O7 better than O8 for example, I own both O7 and O8 Pro Bundles. Now to use the O7 shape on O8, DAZ has the guts to offer me a product for $11 even after discount. That is a joke. I’ve spent a fortune on G3, I spent another fortune to embrace G8. My decision both times. But I would have expected that products like that are just added to the libraries of owners of both generations.
It's a time vs money thing. There are tutorials out there to create your own V7 shape (or any G3 character) for free. It's time consuming and a PITA but free. Some people would rather spend $11 than doing that I guess. I do think it would be nice of Daz to give all owners of V7 the shape for free though, or at least a substantial discounrt. We are only getting a shape while newbies are getting all the skins plus the shape for the same price...
Actually, I found several that I had wishlisted because the previous sale price wasn't really low enough for me to pull the trigger. With the BOB figure discount, the price is a little bit more than the last sale price...oh well.
Anyone else notice that its getting more and more difficult to find a pose pack that has more than one or two new poses in it? These days, I own so many pose packs that I have to double check any new pose packs to make sure that at least half of the poses are something I don't already have 10 near duplicates of.
LOL...I feel the same way...some nice stuff, but nothing I don't already have plenty of. I feel like Daz is doing its best to ween me off my compulsive item buying. That's good considering how much I've spent here over the past 3 years. :)
I still have lots in my wishlist, but actually, I like it there; I'm still working through adding the characters in the two free bundles I got (wasn't sufficiently enamoured to pay, but free...), and I am still converting older characters (V4 to G3) to G8. So at least the older ones - who have some great skin textures - are still worth buying; they do take some work thought to get right on G8.
I rather liked the "Best of the Best" sale - I picked up 5 Josh Crockett aliens/orc at good discounts in it. (He is a very talented artist)
I also got the aiko 5 pro bundle for 10.96 (I have been wanting to get that for a while)
Well, again it helps being a newbie... I still have need for some poses. Too bad that most packages offer only one or two that I might need, with a lot of "hey, I'm so beautiful, so I can stand in any unnatural pose I can think of" fillers around them. ^^
Yeah, nothing wrong with those supermodel and cheesecake poses. It's just that in about what seems like 60% of all pose packs, they make up 80% of the content or more...with just different names tacked on the package. Granted, they aren't exactly the same in each pack...But, they are often so similar that it amounts to the same thing. Every so often, I'll look at a pose pack and see a new pose that I really want that will cause me to buy the pack, even with all the filler. To the credit of the various artists, I'm sure it's very difficult to come up with new poses or even remember which ones you've already packaged up for the umpteenth time. I do appreciate the creative ones, like the new friendly giant poses.
The Tactical Assault on Cassini sale is broken, the extra 30% discount is only applying to orestes-graphics store & the select Daz Originals, the others are remaining at 40% despite having three Cassini items in the cart, see below for some examples.
Agreed. I don't mind these products, they are a convenience, but they don't interest me at their current price point. I picked up the Aiko 7 to Aiko 8 when it was super cheap and am happy with that one. I'd buy more of them if they were under $5.

So I took advantage of the 3DUniverse flash sale yesterday to grab a couple of characters (I needed the hair that was included with the characters)...
Today's sale has one of those characters on sale for significantly less... so I'm out a few bucks.

Not necessarily. You can request a refund of the price difference from customer service. Include a screenshot of your cart showing the new lower price and also show that you purchased whatever qualifying items are required for the lower price.

It was on Friday, not yesterday. (I just checked the mentioned email notifications. :))

The difference is around $4.58 (65% vs 80%), so if I end up grabbing something today, I may contact Customer Service.
We keep saying this. I don' think it means what we think DAZ should know it means. ;)
I did the same thing, by the way... really just to see what it was. Then I went, "I can already do that, it just takes a few more steps..." and felt silly about spending *any* money on it.
It is a good deal for those who don't have a big Gen3 library and never want to. For everyone else, who is most of us... it should be way cheaper if they want us to buy it.
I think the really good deal is for buyers of V8 that don't own already own V7 (etc.), because it includes the V7 texture. As far as I can tell, you don't have to own V7 to use it. So if you missed the free V7 deal, you can get this and not worry about buying the previous gen. That said, I can't really see a reason to buy it since I'm perfectly happy to either convert the shape on my own, or rather, just use V7. The same goes for the other versions of this product. I see nothing wrong with them and think that if you really want those characters in ready made G8, it's not a bad product. But, it's definitely extra cash outlay if you don't really need a V7 in G8 format.
Curious- for PAs, just what are the promo guidelines when we have images like this? FYI, new freebies.
Guess promo guidelines have been a little lighter for old RDNA stuff, demanding just explicit images to be removed.
Get it while you can - the "Make it Rain" banner also works on PC+ items.
With a 4.99 New Platinum Club item in the cart with some RDNA flash sale items, it's $0.44 cheaper than the same cart without the new platinum club item. Awesome.
