    One of my favorite characters through the years.

    Always an auto buy... ... but alas

    I think Aiko has lost her plot.

    Very underwhelmed with this generation of her.  :(

    The problem is in the name. If she was called Jenny 8 pro bundle it would be fine. But when you give a character a japanese name you expect an asian beauty...

    Definitely underwhelmed by her.  Also a pretty poor sales debut considering the previous bargains of up to 2 free Pro Bundles with other characters.

    Aiko 50%, Sakura 50%, and J Cade's "Sakura Use Default Eyes" morph.

     

    Super cute mix!! :D I really like Aiko + Sakura combined! They're adorable mixed, imo. :)

    Yeah I am waiting for kenji as well. Went ahead and grabbed the pro since I do have the PC+ . The savings were just a little too inticing since with 4 addons made the total less than the price discount by itself. I have noticed the she keeps getting older with each version. I admit I liked 6 the best but I like her better than 7. -smirks- The one product that caught me off guard was the Aiko 7 to Aiko 8. Why would I buy that when I already have her and Kenji 7 transfered over to the Gen8 figs. Not understanding the Asian comments. She has never looked asian to me from the get go with third generation. But then again neither have any of the characters you see in anime either. I guess it is just more Ghost in the Shell backlash. Heck she didn't look all that asian in the animes nor the manga. But I digress. Point is it is not hard to get the asian look to her with the right morphs. Besides if you go back to Aiko 3 and look at the bulk of the add ons. Make note that most were fairy.

    When i click on Aiko 4 alone I get an 404 Not Found site. Happenes often in the last week for several products.

    Here's the 50%/50% Aiko/Sakura mix. I made some minor adjustments to her skin settings as well.

    Was planning to play with that mix when I got off work. She looks good to me. Like I said before plenty of ways to get her the way you want her.

    Everyone is far removed from that generation. Heck wouldnt have grabbed Michael or Victoria if they weren't needed for the stuff I did want.

    I think she looks a bit different from picture to picture. In some shots, I find she looks like a variation of A7. In other shots,  she appears to have a more unique look. I quite like most of her face in the 2 back to back pink haired renders. If anyone has her yet, may I ask for a rencer with some chin and jaw reduction? I find her body a little boring in comparison with Aiko 7's. I think A7's body had a bit more character/stylization. Salem looks pretty cute.

    My first reaction was "My god, they whitewashed Aiko".

    Things aren't quite so simple, anime itself was never a purely Japanese look, but the Aiko characters at least looked like they had some Asian heritage. The amount of apparent Asian heritage in Aiko through the generations has steadily declined, but with A8 it seems to have vanished entirely.

    On the plus side, at least we're spared 'the exotic, mystic East' that's afflicted some previous Bundles (Mei Lin 7, I'm looking at you).

    wasn't aware that "exotic, mystic East" is an affliction, as I welcome Asian influenced characters and clothing (though I prefer 'realistic' characters and clothing, not cariactures of it... hard to draw a line between 'inspired by' and appropriation and stuff... that's murky waters).

    I wonder if anyone has seen how Aiko blends with Pei? I mean stuff like, how does Pei's skin look on Aiko shape?  Aiko's skin on Pei's shape? blended shapes?  I would ask about the other newest rarestone char, but I don't have it yet. She's on my list higher than Aiko, though, must say.

    I love her - she'll be an insta-purchase just as soon as I get home from work...Ive always loved the stylized Final Fantasy look much more than the hand drawn anime-girl.  To each their own, right? Can any owners of A7 and A8 post them together? A8 looks very similar to A7 to me. Not that it's a bad thing! I won't be able to get the hands on her for at least 10 agonizingly slow hours ????

    That's not Aiko, that's "Any other girl from somewhere". Nothing on this character reminds me to the Aiko3 or 4. She's hasn't any asain touch. Sakura 8 was much closer to the iconic Aiko as this unspectacular character.

    I will get this because I'm getting all of the G8 Pro Bundles before I stop buying content completely.  However, I have to agree with others.  This version of Aiko looks nothing like previous ones.  Aiko 8 looks about as anime-inspired as the Simpsons.  No amount of mesh mixing will help her originality.

    Still, some of these outfits are great.  I'm waiting to see if the previous pro bundles will be free if you purchase this one.  Anyone knows?

    I like her in most pictures

    However some of the pictures in the store seem to suffer from a long jaw (distance from mouth to bottom of chin), that a lot of the earliest genesis 8 characters had,

    Anyway from the images people have posted, she looks good mixed with Sakura and very good mixed with Karissa (Karissa always makes models look good)

    American Disney Teen 8 is more like it.

    "Aiko" started as a morph for Stephanie way back when. She was billed as an "Asian" character way back then. Obviously if her Japanese name translates to "Love Child", you kinda can't go changing her from that style this late in the game.

    However, "Anime" is indeed an Asian "thing". Have you seen "American" Anime? God, it's horrid. While some classic Anime/Manga have tried to incorporate more Euro-inspired characters (Macross Plus, Fist of the North Star, Speed Racer, etc), the primary characters have always had "Asian" facial features.

    American Disney Teen 8 looks about as Asian as I do, and I don't. Sakura should have been Aiko 8.

    This new version is too much different from the "original" Aiko 4... Her Animeish appearance was something basilar. Even The Girl is starting to look like someone else.
