You have to load your source and target figure and make sure they are both using the same UV (base male or female). Favorite the morph you want to transfer and run Transfer Utility.

Set Source to your source figure and Target to target. Show options, and turn on UV Space. In General Options turn off everything but Morph Targets.

In Morph Targets, change source to either Favorites or Favorites and Sub-Components. If you do the second one you are going to get all the JCMs ported over which is not always a good thing. Pick your poison.

Turn off Fit and Parent to Source Figure because you're not making clothes.

I've got the required product but haven't installed. I'll do some with and without renders, then post them. I can't imagine she'd look that different since 7 and 8 are similar, but we'll see.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you find out. I really want to buy Riza, but not if I also need that convertion pack.

She looks great with just her morphs- no A7 or A8. I'll be posting some comparisons very soon.

    Here's a screenshot, it's still rendering:

Thanks for that. She does not look that different from the promos. The A7-A8 add-on is only $3 in my cart (no idea why the discount is this steep), so I could consider that, but the A8 base is obviously a lot more money.

You're welcome! I just restarted DAZ and loaded her up with all defaults, and she doesn't even show that she's using A7 morphs, though that's a handy one to have for $2.

She loads with her own morphs at 100% and Aiko 8's body at 60%. I forgot to check head morphs, thought I was checking whole thing. Just a sec.

ETA: She also loads with Aiko 8 head morphs at 60%. So I have no idea why the product page says she needs the other one. She looks great in all tests though- with or without Aiko 7 or 8. I'll have a side by side comparison in a few minutes.

Did the render you did of her earlier include the 60% Aiko Head Morph? If not I am surprised she looked like the promos if you were not included the 60% of another head.

I really don't care about the body morph, I am only concerned how close the head morph is compared to the promos.

She requires Aiko 8, not Aiko 7 to Aiko 8 like the requirements say.

EDIT: Are you looking for a shot without A8? I think Llynara's was like that.

Yes, but her latest post seem to imply she had not dialled out the Aiko 8 head morph.

I think she looks good. She resembles the more mature anime style which I prefer. I don’t have a use for her but I think she looks okay. She also does look anime. The shape of her head lips and face are all reflective of a certain contemporary anime look.

Oh yes, that's definitely a must have. :)  To confirm, that's with A8 but without A7 to A8, right?

yes only thing i changed was reduced the breast size and widened her lips a bit not a fan of the puckered look

Thanks! I think I did something like this when G8 first came out when everyone was trying to get their G3 characters on G8, but I totally forgot how! But do G8M and G8F use the same UV? Do I need something for that?

Yes you need Slosh's UV Swap, otherwise you have to use the clones method.

Well, I may fold and get it after all, but that will be the end of my gift card. I hope they offer another gift card deal. In cart, with stuff I already want, it's $29 plus I really think future discounts for the second half will depend on this purchase. And HPFK Lenora that I've wanted to get for a while, gets a nice discount. Help! I need more $$$$!

I suspect that the A7 for A8 product is an unannounced bonus offer for the A8 release. The discount is right for that. Not sure whether you need to buy one of the bundles to get it, or just anything released the same day.

ARGH, I have to fix this. Looks like she was loading by default with Aiko 8 in the Riza Only one, and I didn't know it, since the product page said it needed that Aiko 7 for Aiko 8 morph. Confusing. Here is what she looks like without any morphs but her own. Still very beautiful! I'm rendering and will fix the graphic.

Here's a side by side comparison. I will recheck my original render without the A8 morphs, because it's hard to tell the difference between her with 100% Riza only and her default load, which is 60% Aiko8 and 100% Riza. All I know is, she looks great in all the pics. Her textures are fantastic, so are her morphs and they'd play well with other ones. Click and zoom in for a big pic with lots of detail. Only postwork is text and inserted graphics.

Thanks again for this. It is interesting how little difference some morphs can make, as apart from the one with Aiko 7 (where the eyes are bigger), the faces of the other three look near identical.

It illustates how important that the skin is to the final look, I am guessing if you put the 100% Aiko 8 only morph with Rika's skin she would also look very close to Rika.

Let me fix that. The Riza only one is wrong. I did it before I loaded that Aiko 7 for Aiko 8 morph. Didn't realize it had loaded Aiko 8 at 60%. That's why the first two look identical.

Wow, that's really adorable; thanks for that.

As for Aiko 8, I feel that characters like Star or Sakura take up the mantle of 'anime-esque' plenty enough.  I'm comfortable letting DAZ, and the PA that actually does the character modeling, evolve Aiko as they see fit, and enjoying the result as it comes out.  I'm quite happy with what I've seen of Aiko 8, and there's a few images I've seen (e.g. mixing Aiko and Karyssa) that I feel like hits the perfect, 'Manic Pixie' character archetype.

I also think the Sci Fi outfit is badass (all Yura's ever needed was someone to do their promos for them), the maid outfit is cute (and more dForce is appreciated, which is a common thread among the things I'll list!), the Cherry Blossom outfit is..okay, I guess (the lack of a hem just feels...lazy), both of the hairs are fun, the characters are reasonably cute, and the kabuki mask is a cool bonus!  The Phoenix clothes have cool boots, and skintight pants (that would be awesomely repurposable if they didn't have that weird divot and buckle).  The Aldeberan outfit is slickly done, and the open morphs look great in the promos.  The Jumper (dforce) outfit is super-adorable, and a perfect antidote to the sometimes-too-sexy outfits.  It still looks really, really nice, without needing pulchritude to achieve it.  P3D's done a great job with Riza, of course, and she's a must-have.  (If she'd been a base character, Riza 8, I'd have bought her Pro Bundle too! :) )

Frankly, I don't understand using nostalgia as a reason not to buy her.  Aiko 8 is a great character, supported by great extras.  I feel like that's enough to call it good and pull the trigger.

    --  Morgan

I think that we probably need to stop associating of Aiko with specifically "Anime" and look at the bigger picture of; "Stylized". Because no one can say she isn't that. DAZ has clearly been broadening and diversifying their Stylized figures ever since Genesis 1. Actually, if you really want to go back, it started in gen3 since that was the generation where they redeveloped A3 from the original gen2 Stephanie morph (I think, I wasn't around back then, but people have mentioned it in the forums over the years) as well as introducing both The Girl and The Freak, bnoth also highly stylized figures, which were more mid-century cartoon style than anything else.

However, with Genesis 1 it was Hitomi, a PA figure, who was the "Anime girl" and Aiko started her career as a stylized figure more in line with what was becomming more and more popular in games. Hitomi hasn't been seen since, but Aiko continued as a game-style figure through the following 2 generations. We got another, more Anime-style base with Keiko in gen7, and Sakura has taken up that baton for gen8. I really doubt that we'll ever see another "Anime" Aiko, but Aiko will be a Stylized figure for as long as DAZ keeps making her. If some other form of popular entertainment displaces games, and has a recognizable style of its own, Aiko may shift styles again. By now she is less a single set-style indicator, than the embodiment of the current zeitgeist.

Thanks @Llynara. I do think she looks better with either of the Aiko morphs though. Her mouth is a bit wide without it (which of course can be manually fixed!) Looks like I'm caving in and using the last of my gift card. I'm too addicted. I've never had an addiction to any drug or substance, but this... ugh.

I can see the difference now, thanks. I do prefer the one with Aiko 8 at 60%, but I guess if I go with the Aiko 7 add-on I could use that instead and dial the eyes down slightly.

Now I need to make a decision! Do I really need yet another pretty girl, to go with my other many such, but I guess you can never have too many :-)

But it's not our fault! It's a higher power! And Daz is the drug dealer, giving us tastes for free until we want more, more, more, spend all our money on it, don't go out as much because we'd rather sit and watch a screen render, are late to events because we want to make sure there are no more tweaks to be made on a final render, or stay up till daylight working on a scene... I've seen too many sunrises and heard too many morning birds chirping because of this addiction LOL.

I know this sounds a little crazy, but I'm wondering if there's a psychological reason many of us are addicted. I have lucid dreams, where I can control my dreams with my mind and create worlds of beauty just by focusing my thoughts and creating 3D art or even working in Photoshop is a bit like that. You can create your own worlds and escape from the horror or negativity that may be going on in the "real" world that you have no control over...

I think it's a digital hoarding thing. We find PAs that we like, and styles we like and we've "gotta have 'em all." I've acquired quite the collection of Ron's brushes, DarwinsMishap's men, OOT hairs, Raiya girls, Stonemason sets and so many more. And don't get me started on dForce! I'm in love with it. Aave, PandyGirl, Mada and others are putting out phenominal outfits!

Aiko 8 looks a lot better then Aiko 7, in my opinion.  It was quite a long wait for Aiko 8 and I'm glad she's finally come out.  Don't like the items that came with the Pro bundle, so I'm going to have to just buy the character alone.
