Oh indeed, the big companies model pretty much everything themselves, especially Square, so Aeris is certainly their own model. But the resemblance is really uncanny. I actually bought Aiko 8 when she was $10 a coupe weeks back for the lulz. And by pure coincidence Square releases this new trailer a short time later. Anyway, I took the 1st pic of Aeris and compared it to Aiko 8 in Daz. The eyes are dead on, even the way her lacrimals curve downward. The nose is very close, the jawline might be the only thing to adjust. The arc of the eyebrows would need to be softened and she needs bright green eyes. Other than that, Aiko 8 is Aeris. If you can match the lighting, and cure Aiko's skin from Daz Orangeia, I'm sure this image could be duplicated in Daz with Aiko. If I get a little time, I'll throw something together. I was hoping to find a hair and dress that remotely resembles what Aeris has.
Also, just for the record, I will always call her Aeris. This is what the original US release of Final Fantasy 7 called her in 1997, and I think it is a much better name than Aerith. They will call her Aerith in the remake, and that really grinds my gears.

Aiko is one of my favorite characters - pretty much in any generation. <shrug> I just really like her a lot.
Guys, is it me or this Aiko is more on the "realistic" side? Can someone explain to me the stylistic differences? The Girl 8 and Karyssa 8 are obvious, I mean, big eyes, big head the proportions I can see them, but Aiko 8 just looks like another face for Genesis 8.
Stylised. Eyes aren't that big; the character has got less stylised over the generations. I like the character. The textures are also somewhat stylised too. To my mind, Teen Josie 8 is as stylised as Aiko 8 is now. Both can be made a more natural character easily enough though. Both texturs are blemish free and lend themselves to adding defects.
Definitely stylised, if less obviously so than Sakura 8 or The Girl 8.
