I paid a small fortune in comparison for FF3 standard and the upgrades they offered me since really sucked and always standard only, no way would any of them have actually payed over just buying it outright even off their site.
I got so annoying I never did and finally uninstalled it as largely unsupported and I have far better options for texture generation now.
For anyone buying the "HD Violin and Poses for Genesis 3 and 8", there is a small gli... er, problem. There is supposed to be an instruction file, according to a warning in the poses section of the product, but the link is dead (no file). However, it otherwise works fine, though selecting a base pose actually loads a G3 or G8 character as well as a violin, which is unusual, but no real problem. As for the missing file ("HDV&P Instructions"), I have submitted a ticket to have the product updated.
Hi! It contains no instruction file. The instructions are in the ”tool tip” which loads when you hover mouse over hdv&p instructions icon. Also in readme. Base poses in the corresponding Genesis 3/8 folder should apply only pose to selected character, but load all -poses are meant to load the character and props to help faster starting.
I’m happy to help with all the questions regarding the product.
Yours,
protozoon
Thanks for the very quick response, Protozoon. I guess I'm a little confused, as I have not been able to find a readme, or any other text file, nor does hovering the mouse over the instruction icon reveal anything. However, I have been able to use this product as is, and I'm very happy with the results so far - I have only started using it, so I can't be more general about all the poses and props. What I will say, is that I'm glad I bought it. Thank you!
I'll take a look at it as soon as I can. Here is the readme:
"
3 ways to start using Violin Poses:
1. Load the Props and Character into your scene. Apply “!Base Pose” to your character. Select Bow and load “Align Bow”, select Violin and load “Align Violin”. Parent Bow
to Right Hand, Violin to Upper Chest (make sure “Parent in Place” option is checked).
2. Load the Props and Character into your scene. Parent Bow to Right Hand, Violin to Upper Chest make sure “Parent in Place” option is checked). Select your Character and load “Hierachical Base Pose”.
3. Load “Load All G3/8F/M”. Character and the props are loaded and parented for you.
You are now ready to use the Poses!
Poses are for base Genesis 3/8 Female/Male, but with slight adjustment they can be used on other characters also. Applying a character to already props loaded and parented base male/female might yet reduce the need for adjustment."
I kind of wish we had called the thread, "Coal in your Stocking? There's always another sale!"

Are you saying Coal in your Stocking is a Bad thing or Good?
In Scotland it is a Good thing, part of a Traditional First Footing at Hogmanay :-) Along with the benediction "Lang Mae Yer Lum Reek"
Feeld like a staple when it comes to glitching, but the freebees do not mix well with the PC+ Coupons. My cart went from $21 to $24 upon adding the freebie since they ate up the coupon.
Argh I’ve been wanting pretty much this exact violin set for so long but I’m also waiting on Magix’ newest set and Tiger Precious and... mutter mutter....
Yeah, I'm waiting on Parris' new light control system and Zev0's fit control for G8 and...well, the list goes on, though I may have found a way to finally counter the buying urge: I was looking at a contemporary G3M outfit and thought... why don't I go back and count all the similar type items I already own, starting with G8M... and going back?
Yikes. I'd already counted over 50 similar outfits in my main runtime before I'd even finshed the Genesis clothing and started on the M4s. Suddenly I didn't feel as much need to buy the new shiney anymore, even if it is on sale at a great price.
Thanks, Protozoon, and you, too, Kerya. That helps.
Missed that since I have access to the betas. You got some really unlucky timing.
The first day of this holiday sale it was 85%....
Was it lately enough that you could get your money back? FF didn't work well for me, crashed my computer all the time. This after they had promised it would work (I'd had problems with the previous version). I had to argue the matter (can't recall if I pulled in PayPal), but I did get my money back. Topaz may have cost more, but it works better for me.
No, at least not under the 30 day policy. I have had FF6 Pro for about 45 days.
Then why does it say 85% off? I just spent hours checking everything out and filling my cart (although I swore I was done buying) and this is false advertising... It clearly says at the top 85% off..,. Sending in a ticket. They wasted too much of my time....This is so annoying.
Bummer!
If you checked out after applying the coupon, you can contact Customer Service and they will refund you the difference. It is a well-known issue that the cart applies the coupon to all products that qualify, even the free ones.
Some of the Daz Originals will show a 58% discount in the listings and on the product page. That discount is a combination of the member discount and the Featured Artist. I've seen those go to 84%-85% off, as reported by Daz Deals. However, those are few and far between. I've checked several days using the % Off filter from Daz Deals. One day, even with products I own visible, I found one product at 58%. Even with only one item going that low, the statement is true, and pretty common adspeak. It's still really annoying to have to search through 469 products to try to find any that go into the cart at 85% off.
There was nothing that was 85% off in cart. Everything from that group was a uniform 72% off. Someone said the 85% off sale was over, but it still says 85% off. I sent a ticket saying I'll dump the whole cart if the price on TODAY's banner is not honored so waiting to see. I don't have the money to overpay in hopes they will give me the advertised price and later refund me. Why do I keep missing the good glitches and getting only the bad ones? Urgh. Frustrated... I just spent money I can't afford on a Windows PC with NVIDIA just so I could render DS and wanted to try some stuff I couldn't before on my Mac, and was excited by the advertised 85% off banner. If they forgot to remove it, it's their fault... Can we change this thread title back to "Bah humbug"???

I'm pretty sure the first day the Add-ons category was announced as 85% off (for owners of a Gen 8 figure) plus additional loyalty discount...:)
(and the banner wasn't changed since then, so it says 85% for some days now)
For those interested in Filter Forge, but don't necessarily have to have the latest version, consider checking in/subscribing to GiveAwayOfTheDay (I never know if links are okay or not). They host software offers that are free for one day. In the beginning of April 2016, they offered Filter Forge Pro 4 for free. At the end of March this year, they offered Filter Forge Pro 5 for free.
So the sale isn't over then? It IS still supposed to be 85% off... I have all three requirements so it should be the full 85% percent....Is anyone getting 85% off??? Anyway, I guess I'll just wait till I hear from CS. If I don't, I suppose I'll dump everything but the freebie. Which bums me out because I did want to finally try some of the GPU needed stuff.
Personally, bah humbug is more fun.
I have a million strangers, parrotting happy whatever, in a dead monotone; bah humbuh is said with feeling and various levels of amusement - I'll take the latter choice anyday.
I am getting 84% off DO items from that category.
Not me. I've not had a single person "parrotting happy whatever, in a dead monotone" to me so far this year. And I've seen people say "bah humbug" more often with a "dead monotone" then with feeling. Plus, why are we judging what is good and bad by if it's said with "feeling and various levels of amusement"? Just because something is said with "feeling" or "amusement" doesn't mean it's a good thing.
I like the new thread title. :)
Edit - Or I DID like the title when it was "Joy To The World". Now that it's back to "Bah Humbug" ...not at all.
Never had any problems with them
@Phoenix1966, could that rate include your PA discount? I'm only seeing 80% in my cart, with the following DOs, the only ones in the list that are showing a 58% discount to begin with.
Fine by me. I only changed it to stop all the Bah Humbug is "negative" comments...
ETA: There ya' go. (Added a wink to imply it's all in good fun... )
