The new releases in my cart just dropped in price to a 55% discount, is that correct? I find the percentages a bit confusing 50+10 should be 60, right?
When you get an additional percent off, it is the percent off of the remainder.
So, 50% off, then 10% off of that, for a total of 55% off of full price.
On the whole disappearing PA thing... is this something DAZ does on a regular basis now? I don't remember it being that common years ago, but the store was smaller and maybe I just never noticed.

I think if you have somethings on your wish list that you REALLY want and it's by a PA who hasn't released anything new in a couple of years, it might be the time to consider whether or not you really want to get it or not. Since Daz isn't giving us a heads up on who's stores are being purged, it might be prudent to nab the "must have" items by any inactive PAs, just in case.
I've got some store credit and my PC coupon, but I decided not to get Josie 8. While I have 6 and 7, I don't like Josie 8; she looks like she sneaks smokes in the restroom and gossips behind people's backs...

Who are the recent inactive PA's, any one care to divulge? I guess I missed the memo. I hope its none of my favorites.
There wasn't a memo. Too bad. It would have been nice to get a heads up when items in our wishlist were going to disappear. Of those PAs that had their stores closed, I know of Eustace Scrubbs and Llola Lane for a fact. I think it's safe to assume the three MIA in last night's Mega Fast Grab, that were pulled after being reported as 404 Not Found, have also been closed. They are: KittysTavern, Lisbeth-N, and Lourdes. Don't be surprised if a few other stores turn up MIA in Mega Fast Grab over the rest of the sale.
As divamakeup recommended, it might be a good time to go through your wishlist and either buy those older items from inactive PAs, or remove them from your wishlist. There is no guarantee a PA who leaves will make those items available elsewhere.
If they were DAZ originals to begin with, they are still in the store, just not under the PA's name. Wishlists would still have them. Anyway, this has made me re-evaluate my cart a couple of times to get items that might disappear sooner than later. Got the Gull Wing and Megacharger, so just have to load up Mountain Valley and hit 88 MPH when the lighting hits and go back a week to get the now-missing.
Argh, the store is forcing me to buy something else just to get the pigtails for 2 bucks. Why isn't the Josie 8 pro bundle considered a debut new release?
Because it's a 'Still New' release ('Debut' is only for that day's new releases).
If you don't want the other product, but it's still cheaper than buying the pigtails separately, then buy it. If it's cheaper to buy the pigtails than both, do that.
Fun fact: over the last 13 months, 1095 items have been removed from the store. (This includes items retired by the PAs themselves.)
Why don't they just have "Clearance" sales for products about to be retired, or inactive/leaving PAs. Then there wouldn't be any confusion or disgruntled customers who see items vanish from their wishlists.

If I understand correctly, then yes, they are available in your product library.
When they've got a deal but you've got to buy from a limited selection of new items, none of those new items are appealing, *and* they're all $8 or more...
I just skip buying entirely that day. The pigtails are a great deal at $2, and if there is some piece of content you REALLY WANT at their current discounts, then I guess it sweetens the pot.
But my guess is that this is a very narrow slice of the DAZ content market. For the rest of us, I think it is better not to buy at all - and then maybe we'll see more deep discounts with a bigger target demographic or lower priced qualifying items in the future.
@donovancolbert - I'm with you. $2 for a set of pigtails is great, but only a narrow selection of characters would wear pigtails. And is anyone else getting a kick out of how hard they're pushing Josie 8? It seems like every day they're re-wording the same deal, putting in more exclaimation marks, and hoping we don't notice that nothing's actually changed. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how they try to sell us all on Josie tomorrow!
I did end up figuring out that the base-discount on the pigtails paired well with another product in the Megafast grab as the cheapest NEW debut item in order to get a steep disount on the mega-fastgrab item...
So, they got me to buy the @!#$%* pigtails anyhow... :D
The Kadis armor might be cheaper today than when I bought it, which was only 22 days ago. But I've got so much going on in that order, I can't tell what the price on that item was.
The email you get after the order from DAZ is usually the best way to tell the price of a bought item.
I was thinking that too. I picked it up on Aug 30th, 22 days ago. But looking at my email confirmation it was $8.99 - it drops to $7.49 today with a debut new release in the cart. Only a dollar fifty difference. Too little too worry about for me, methinks.
Yes anything you have ever purchased should remain in your library (as long as DAZ exist I believe). Though some things might disappear because of errors, I imagine. I have some several year old lists of my files, been thinking of running a compare with my current files to see if something has gone missing.
Ah-ha. $1.50 cheaper today. If I bought a debut item with it. I guess I can send it in, but I'm not sure it will count.
Think of it this way: You have 30 days to return any item for any reason. You could return the purchase from Aug 30 and get a full refund. And you could repurchase the armor today at 75% off. Or you can make your purchase today, sans the armor, and contact Customer Service, reference both the order from Aug 30 and your order today, where you have the qualifying Debut new release, and ask for the difference to be applied to your store credit.
And if you ask, CS will refund the difference. The only question is, (and the answer won't be the same for everybody,) is it worth your time and effort for $1.50?
(I'm guessing there'd be no question if we were talking about $15...)
The only items I want to see on sale is The Guy 7 and The Girl 7 but you know 8.... they really are pushing Teen Josie bundles

No, that seems to be a new schtick introduced for the G8 figures.
And as someone who's only been actively using Daz for a little under a year, I'm loving it
