Well nuts.  Redownloaded some of my purchased stuff on Turbosquid and I came across a couple models that have their rigging info and stuff in MAX or Maya format,  (but with an obj version too, so of course all is not lost).  I thought I could just ask their support about a model conversion to FBX or DAE format since it's a service they offer,  but it turns out while they do offer conversions they won't transfer over any rigging or lighting or etc information, no matter what format they'll be converting to.

Ah well, I guess I can try re-rigging it myself - though I have very little knowledge on the subject it'd be a learning process xD

Opened it up in a video editor I have and pumped the Gamma up to 2.2.  Got it pretty close to what the render looked like, at the cost of kinda screwing up some of the shadows (The worst being under the couch in the center)

    Still not too bad!

complaint - received 14 15lb boxes.  packing slip was on the very bottom box.

tea went cold already.   need a mug sized tea cozy.

You should have looked in the bottom box first!  Things are always in the last place you look.  So look there first.  But...ummm...perhaps that will change the outcome, because it will be the first place you look at that point.  Never mind.  cheeky

    Dana

Because after you find them, you stop looking!

You just have to break that habit, and keep looking after you find them.

You might like to try adjusting thevideo white level down, if the editor lets you, before you render the video, won't affect the gamma curve (or the blacks i guess)

Tried that, still didn't affect the output :(

No idea what happened here, but I got it worked around in the end.

I am so tired but I got to start work in half an hour.  I am drinking a Frapacino but it is not helping.  I used almond milk in it so it will be a bit healthier even just in my mind.

The best trained army ferrets are bred in Yorkshire. Here we see 'Yorkie', having just bested a soldier in single combat . . .

I'll leave you to do your own research into the so-called "sport" of ferret legging wink

Cranky Old Fart rant.  There is no such thing as 'white chocolate', what they call white chocolate is the sludge you have left after you take everything that makes chocolate yummy.  Always suspected this is what is left over from processing cocoa powder and some marketing guy (probably named Baldrick) said, "I have a cunning plan".

I'm sure there is a "how to" website for just about everything...even for things you don't really want to know...somebody wants to know.  Or, at least, the creator of the site thinks someone else wants to know.   laugh   And there are certainly tons of YouTube videos on every "how to" subject imaginable, and unimaginable!

Weather perfect here.  Mid 70s, puffy clouds, sprinkle now and then.

Non-complaint:  Local sweet corn is at peak of perfection.  Kernels bigger than baby but not old & tough, just right.  Kernels are good sized, sweet and explode into your mouth when nibbled. smiley

This perfection only lasts about a week, then it's four more weeks of big tough doughy kernels.  OK for canning and cut from the cob, but too big for perfect corn-on-the-cob nibbling.

Complaint:  What amazes me about corn crops these days is that I see huge fields, acres & acres everywhere in the county.  And in each field every plant is identical to the ones around it.  They all grow at exactly the same rate.  The tops are all exactly the same height.  Clones.  No variation.  Back in the old days ('50s & '60s) , corn plants were like people, tall ones, short ones, good ones, bad ones, and average ones.  Ears of corn were big, little, & average.  Many ears had a corn borer worm in it that you simply cut out or broke off.  These days, no worms, no undeveloped kernels, and all ears are the same size.  They're like bannanas and many other crops.  Mono-cultured, all identical and impossible to grow from seed without sophisticated human assistance.  When civilization collapses, the survivors will eventually all starve to death because nobody will be able to grow self-perpetuating crops.

I've also noticed that there are no corn borer moths (that come from corn borer worms) fluttering around anymore and there are also no toads and frogs to snack on them.  Hmmm...
