Why do I have headphones on when I am not listening to anything?  Maybe it is to tune out the housemate who is talking loudly to herself?

edit: not working as I can still hear her talk to herself and laugh at her own jokes maybe.

...guess I shouldn't mention that it was in the mid 60s here yesterday. First time since late September of last year that I was able to sit outside in the sun and not need a jacket.

Yep near a full moon last night.

Not quite as nice today with intermittent water from the sky, but temperatrues are much warmer than we've been experiencing the last several weeks.

Tomorrow, sun sets an hour later.

I used to do that when the neighbors in the other apartment were fighting or yelling at the kids.  Works pretty well. indecision

But the new neighbors are quite quiet.  Althought they have a habit of keeping their garbage for weeks in the basement and are drawing mice and bugs. angry

Complaint:  Snow, coming in short blizzards.  Several today.  Also, I was asked to help a handicapped friend buy a new printer, I got roped into digging out my car and going out into the storm just at my nap time. frown Then he had other stops, but forgot stuff at home and we had to go back to get it. sad Got to the printer store and the printer he wanted was out of stock and had to re-analyse all the other options, by this time he was getting loopy without his meds, and mentally slow, and he started wobbling on his cane.  I had to rush to the chair department and wheel an office chair back to him so he could sit before he collapsed, then push him around the store on the chair to the checkout lane to finish the purchase of paper and ink.  Then prop him up on the shopping cart while I shuffled out into the blizzard to bring the car to the store door.  Then on the way home he starts talking nonsense politics and starts off the conversation saying he hasn't been following the news but ...,  and I let him know in no uncertain terms which side of the aisle I favored, and that if he hadn't been following the news then he has no reason to comment, and told him that since it was now supper time I would NOT be installing the printer today, he could wait until tomorrow when I was in a better mood.   Moral of story:  Don't make me miss my nap time! devil

Complaint: Just checked the summer schedule for Chautauqua http://ciweb.org/index.php again and noticed more information.  Now there are at least five (5) symphonic events I'd love to attend but I can only afford one or two.  ARGHHHHHH! sad

Squeezed into 9 weeks, they are presenting:   (LG's rating system:  * to *****)  I've provided links to samples of 4 and 5 star pieces.  And to hear both Alexander Gavrylyuk and Lang Lang perform in the same season is marvelous. smiley

I'm trying to learn about photography.  I'm learning about camera angles and lighting.  I should buy a book but they cost at least $25.  I saw some books that focus soley on lighting while others teach posing techniques.  In the spring I should take some landscape photos to use as backgrounds for my 3D scenes.

Complaint:  ARGHHH, my mouse popped his rubber! frown

I've been noticing for several months that the center wheel on my Microsoft wireless mouse was behaving funkily (funkyish, funky, ???) and would sometimes turn with resitance like the rubber friction layer was rubbing against the edge of the slot.  But when I'd look, it looked all OK.  However, today it just didn't seem to want to work at all.  I turned on the lights, pulled the magnifier over and looked carefully at what was going on and the rubber friction tire was not clinging to the axle but was in fact turning sloppily around the axle.  I tried to push it back into the center of the slot and the damn thing oozed beyond the slot.  surprise I picked lightly at the rubber tire and it stretched about a quarter inch, then broke and came out in my hand sort of like a black gooey worm! surprise  Probably finger oils disintegrated the rubber.  Bummer!  (Sigh)  sad

Yes, and at only $43 an evening it's a bargain (and sometimes it's only about $25 ). smiley  But I tend to make it a full evening with a good dinner out, then arrive on the grounds an hour or so early, have an overpriced ice cream dessert, then a drink and I usually browse the bookstore and find something interesting so all that and parking and tip for the parking lot bus driver, it sometimes ends up costing $100 for the evening, and I can't do that too many times a year. frown Now, if I could just learn to keep from stuffing my mouth, and row a boat over the lake to sneak in, and satisfy myself with sitting on the plaza outside the open-air Amphitheater, it would be free! enlightened

...back to the normal wet again here, (though in teh mid 50s not the 30s) after a really nice day yesterday.  Even got the bike out and went for a relaxing ride around the neighbourhood. Ended up at one of my usual watering holes where this fellow was doing a DJ spin of Jazz recordings from the 20s through the 60s.
