Not much of a thing here: we barely celebrate our own patron saint, why should we celebrate someone else's?

Doesn't make a lot of sense.  So Dorothy, Dot, would be Doddie or Doddy?  No.  Then again, a lot of things don't make sense to me lately.

Paddy is short for Padraig.      Patty, if used as a short name, is short for Patricia  and is female, always female,  and actually rarely used in Ireland eve for the females.    Pat is the only acceptable shortening of Patrick.

Weathermen!  Bah, humbug.  What do they know?  Snow forcast here through Saturday stopped yesterday afternoon.  Computers that cost millions and they still are really just guessing. indecision  BUT, they have really nice looking maps now. cheeky

I've always said I should have been a weatherman.  Aside from always having been interested in the weather, it's the only profession I can think of where you only have to be accurate 20% of the time and it's considered a great success!  And if in doubt, say there will be 'Snow Showers'.  That pretty much covers everything.  I mean.. seriously... snow showers?!?  laugh

...as well as not get sacked for screwing up most of the time.

All those billions in satellites, radars, and supercomputers for modelling climate trends, and they still can't get it right.

Morning. Still summer here, sun iz rising on what ought to be autumn but the rains haven't come. Yet, maybe - no water restrictions so far but hope is beating fear maybe. My airways seem to be on the mend, at least the huge antibiotic pills are easier to swallow and I seem to be a lot less cranky the past couple of days. Haz a couple of complaints: family got me a (huuuge) new phone not complaint, took two weeks to activate. Didn't care much at the time but family took it hard and expects me to complain so I am. Also if I never hear another screeching parrot it will be too soon - those birds having fun in the sun and me laid up was hard to take :)

Not complaint: sense of humour seems to have recovered :)

I just sat down to eat and write.  First I am trying to determine what makes a certain character.   Her name is Monique like Monique 6 and Monique 7.   Maybe she has a twin but the twin needs a name other than Monique.  Something Unique.  Still thinking of the twin's name.   I am trying to decide what makes Monique unique.

Can I use the name Xolani for Monique's twin sister?

I want to go home now!  I am having a stressful afternoon.   After work I was wondering around upstairs of the mall.  Right before I went outside to wait for my ride, I went to get my headphones to connect to my phone and call my ride.  My headphones were missing.  I back tracked everywhere I went and found out the headphones were at my store in the food court.   I got a refill of my tea and sat outside and contacted my ride.   They have another person to pick up then they will get me.   I decided to get on my tablet to find I do not have it.  I looked around and went back to the food court.  One of the food court people said it was at lost and found upstairs. (the food court is downstairs)  I went upstairs and retrieved my tablet.  Now I am outside again waiting for my ride hoping I have not lost anything else that needs to be found.  I am hoping htye come soon so I can get home.

edit: now I got to use the restroom but will not go until I get home to prevent me leaving something in the bathroom.
