[What is a bonus buyer, and how does it work?] title says it all really.
Not sure if it's working, or if I just haven't selected the correct items.

It's one of those targeted offers they give to people they select by some arcane rules of their own (or maybe they just draw names out of a hat). If you've got it you don't have to do anything special to use it, I've got one item in my cart, it's a new release and it's showing a lower price than the one shown on the main store page.

Im just wondering, does anyone know where to start when looking for a sku that is 16000 or under? Im assuming it may be in the v4/m4 section but I havent checked yet.
If you buy something from March Madness you become a bonus buyer. It gives you an additional discounts for a few days. If you buy anything else during that period you stay a bonus buyer.
the 10% works on gift cards, memberships, everything. If the item has an SKU under 16000 the 10% becomes 30%. This is on top of any other discounts or offers.
When you're looking at artist catalogs that are included in March Madness it will be a portion of their catalogs where this is really valuable (because it's on top of the MM pricing.) If you scroll down through any of the artists catalogs and look at a product to see the SKU, if it's under 16000 you save bigger.

Looking at the product index, it looks to be products from late 2012 and earlier. Young Teens 5, Hiro 5, Parkside Freight are in the 15000-15999 range and have reelease dates from Oct and Nov 2012.
Few days = how many days? :)
Buy anything else = new releases, or any product at all, such as fastgrab items?
Is 10% the maximum (30% on the other set of products), or can we increase it somehow?

With "Hide items I own" unchecked, I found sku's under 16000 on page 199 - 200-ish. There are lower and higher sku's in that area though. Should be a safe starting point. By the way, thanks Daz for the faster page cycling. Seems to work great.
Fast Grab counts, bought the Randomizer in Fast Grab as my first order this week. And the banner appeared!
Edit: And the Castle Interior is free now! I had it in my shopping cart with the Randomizer but it was not free.
Any non-free purchase triggers it. You stay in for the current day, plus two more. 10% is the max (30% on older) unless there is a special for a given day or days. These rules are subject to change and adjustment (but none are planned), but that's how it's working now.

That was a surprise! Thank you for telling us that. The Castle Interior was not shown as free until I put it in my cart (and I had to go back from the checkout to the cart and back again before the discount would stick).
I suppose there's no way to find what these freebies are apart from putting everything into the cart and seeing which ones come up as free.

If there is a freebie available to bonus buyers, and you are a bonus buyer, you will see it one the March Madness page. No, you don't need to buy more items to get more freebies, if you are a Bonus Buyer at the time that a freebie is offered, then you can get it free.
Just to be sure -- Do purchases that are paid for with store credit (which will show a final total of $0.00) count toward the Bonus Buyer promo? I would assume that they would but I'm not exactly sure how you are determining the "non-free" purchase
Store credit is the same as paying outright
I paid with store credit and became a BB.
@DAZ_Steve, why is this kept such a secret from buyers? More people would buy if they knew about it. I don't have the banner, will any purchase get me the banner or is it just for special people?
