There are enough reference images on the web, wouldn't it be easier to create in in Photoshop or whichever post work program you use. Just my thoughts here.
Only thing is, what was in the movie was a tiled hanging, and while I appreciate the pic, it's not big enough to make a texture map from.
google had tons of images nothing really close to being that tapestry, best bet depending on your photoshop skills is to get a really decent IDIC image off the web and either give it a bump map for the tiling effect, or apply it to some thing with a tiled dispalacement.
Guess I'll have to try. I just don't consider my photoshop skills to be that great. If I can find a photo to reference so much the better.
here is the link for the search I did of Vulcan Science Academy this should give you a pretty good start to finding what you need.
https://www.google.com/search?q=vulcan+images&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=Nwg&tbo=d&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=CynfUIiNKKqJ0AXv4YDYBg&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA&biw=1600&bih=830#hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=Axg&tbo=d&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=vulcan+science+academy&oq=Vulcan+Science+&gs_l=img.1.0.0i24l9.69020.72827.2.75998.15.12.0.3.3.0.549.2141.3j7j4-1j1.12.0...0.0...1c.1.Gz86IJfWbt0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.d2k&fp=ac5b0bcb65e6884d&bpcl=40096503&biw=1600&bih=830
First Officer Zeg, Science Officer Cassy, and the enigmatic admiral Robert April on a special mission. :)
I found a line drawing that I might be able to work with.
Madison, in regards to looking for line drawings of things, I quite often type in the name (in your case idic) followed by the word Vector at the end. it comes up with a number of things quick, simple and often just plain black and white.
All,
I little kitbashing here of Vanishing Points (rduda and company's) Bridge 8 for the mirror universe.
The idea is this bridge in conjunction with stellar cartography make up the command information center (CIC) of the battle group for the Mirror Universe I'm working on.
Enjoy.
Okay. last peek at this before I get back to the current book- which has 17 pages done by the way. Ptrope's updated TOS cabin married to my TMP corridor kit- which should be on the freebie list. All of Ptrope's cabin is used expect the deck base and the corridor wall. I still need to finialize the lighting and finish "dressing the set"- but I can come back to that after I finish the current book. The structure's in place now, that's the important thing.
The only major hiccups that will need tweaking in D|S are the tiling on the cabin floor carpet (X to 50, Y to 50) if you use it, and the back wall surfaces smoothing angle (set to 25) to get the window shape to come out right.
And then there's lighting. Where's the room light supposed to come from, just the wall sconses? Or were there ceiling lights that we just never saw on screen? I could probably work something out with a couple of area lights, but Poser lighting is just so different, and it's been so long since I last played around with it.

On the show we never actually saw a lamp or a ceiling light. They didn't do that kind of "real lights" back then.It was all area lighting and reflected light.

Another WIP Pic of my new bridge. Chairs are by Cowley Duck
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!
Do I recall sometime in the past year that someone had created the armed chairs from TOS as Poser or at least 3D models?
TOS chair with arms
Maybe not for the quarters, but I've been tinkering on the briefing room from "The Cage," and they had the armed chairs there ... I thought I'd seen them (heck, Ptrope, maybe check the freebie list! ;))
**UPDATED**
Well since my image has been remove here I guess this post is irrelevant You can see the image on my DA account that shows my use of PTROPE's new stateroom.
Image Removed By Mod
Well, it was nice while it lasted ;). Glad you like the quarters updates.
i had a feeling that image wouldn't last long lol
Well it is posted in all its glory on DA and in the Star Trek artists group as well as my group. it is a great set to use and I plan on using it again.

Where is it, Shadow. I looked for it in the Star Trek Artist group over on DA, but I couldn't find it.
Also, there is a great Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) morph in the freebie section, for those that would like to take a look.

Your friend

;-) I'll see if I can find it.
Thanks! I thought I saw it in one of these threads, maybe the last one, but the search function on this site is about as good as printing the entire site, then spreading it all over the floor and HOPING you don't die before you find it ... ;). If I downloaded it (and I thought I did, even that I responded to the post!), I sure can't find it now ... might've been one of the many things that went bye-bye in the latest Win 7 index crash ...
A little something for the updated Quarters ;-)
This is a re-up, no changes, for the chair.
http://www.mediafire.com/?0bvg1ney8t3b2l6 TOS CK chair - reup.zip
It's a .cr2 file, ergo look in the Figures folder to find it. There's also one pose designed for M4. If used on Genesis, the feet and hands require tweaking. Includes holding textures and templates [such as they are, made in Hexagon]
DEATH TO THE DALEKS!
:P Daleks are here to stay, dude.
Anyhow playing with some ideas for my planned comic, and so on.
Just playing with an idea of an Andorian Captain or Guard. Not sure which at this point.
This one is all female.
Thanks for the Chair and room update Catherine & Ptrop. If or when I get around to finishing my TOS novel I'll have to use them.
Thanks to Rduda for the bridge set.; making and such...all this set can be found at Vanishing Point http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/productdetail.asp?ProductID=2221
Outfit is SD4 Outfit http://www.daz3d.com/shop/sd4-outfit
** UPDATE *** and hair by the fantastic Mylochka.

I've never really been happy with any of the M4 morphs for Spock. So, I thought that I'd try my hand at it.
Any good? Complete crap?
Many thanks! :)
