..ohh that is sweet.
My lastest render not appropriate for DAZ forums....but if ya got a dA account and dont mind a nude body i think it turned out really good. Nothing graphic..its a sci-fi fantasy pic.

The lighting in this image is quite amazingly good. Incidentally, I have no problem with the lady's outfit.
Cheers,
Alex.
Well, here is a sexy supergirl cosplay render. I hope this is not too inappropriate. ;)
The shirt was morphed in ZBrush and then exported to Daz Studio. Lighting done is from an HDRI... and that's about it.
Inspired by several threads, here's another mostly Brandon image.
I had recently picked up some 3DL wall/floor shaders with a hunch that I'd also be able to use them in Iray, and that hunch paid off. Both wall and floor are simple planes with http://www.daz3d.com/industrial-floors-daz-studio-shaders and/or http://www.daz3d.com/industrial-walls-daz-studio-shaders converted to Iray.
Thanks to tips from Richard Hazeltine (whose last name makes him sound delicious), the key to doing displacement in Iray is simply to have a dense enough mesh. The planes are 256 division planes with a further SubD 3. (Again, his tip was to avoid doing Displacement subd over object subd)
Edit: Excuse me, the wall was from http://www.daz3d.com/historical-masonry-daz-studio-shaders-vol-1
Like hazel nuts + Ovaltine™.
Xenodreki with svelldreki (frost) wing membranes, Colo, retro spaceship, TerraDome3 A zone, star backdrop I generated.
Again, I'm a nut for fun and weird dragon stuff.
Nice! On the lighting prop, does it work like that bt default or did you postwork it?
very super! What character/skin did you use.
The lightning prop works like that out of the box, the only thing i did in the render was to use the suggested bloom filter settings in the prop bundle, setting the bloomfilter range..brightness scale and radius.
I did post on the pic but it only ehanced what was already there. The only thing i did in post though was make a duplicate, and color it light blue, and set it for grain merge and lower the opacity about 50%. The original picture was a little bright and over saturated for my taste.
And on a different front the character is using the NGS 2 shader.

That lightening effect is really sweet, especially the ambient glow on the hand!
Thanks!
Just playing around with kitbashing an environment together and testing it with some game figures. Even with instancing I doubt I could get this many DAZ figures with full conforming clothing sets to render without lag and memory issues or postwork, LOL
...I was going to say, you must have used instancing. Between the horses, characters, and grass, that would probably crash my system.
Nicely done.
Thanks KK. yeah I used a fair bit of instancing. The ground plane is from Andrey Pestryakov with 4 types of grass objects parented to it. Then I instanced 11 more versions of it. The trees are .OBJs with 3 varieties and those instanced 3 times each. I combined and posed the horses and the riders together in max and exported each as .OBJs with 4 types with one type being instanced 5 times. Then added the mountains from the Dry Mud Flats addon with an HDRI for the sky. And then converted the textures to IRAY
More playing around with mapping. On the girl's armor I put the displacement map as bump, worked out pretty nicely.
I'm so glad you like it! :)
I really like this one FB!
Ah, I've had that happen to me on more than one occasion! Strange and/or wonderful things can happen when things like that just start popping into your head. :) It's a good render. I love it!
@TabascoJack You already know I like your Space Corridor from your thread, but I'll here that it's a great render. You did good.
Will! I didn't know you could get Hiro to look that old! Nice look for him. I don't think I've used him enough. I really need to start mixing my characters up more because that mix you did looks really good.
@Mattymanx You're always so good at doing the attitude! Nice!
@Ivy Love Skyler with the bird. What is the Hobo Cyclorama. I still use Cyclorama a lot and I'm not familiar with that one. Do you have a link?
Heh, Hiro at .46, then laugh lines and a few other tweaks
I have always loved doing the over/under renders. Until recently, I had to use Vue to accomplish this. I did this one using DS. The first image is straight out of DS, using The AntFarms wonderful whale and DimensionTheory's Skies of Iradiance. The second image is after postwork. (Ron's brushes and masking etc....)

The Island
Nice! reminds me I need a vacation. : )
candles
Digital Lite Design I totally love that image! Very cool. Love the postwork that you did. :)
@FirstBastion Beautiful image! That's a lot of candles! Nicely done. :)
...with all those emissive lights for the flames, that had to take some time to render.
@Antman - thank you! But, do you want to do it floating on a whale? Lol
@Knittingmommy - Thank you. :)
wow thats awesome
Game Cam
Rendered in 2 layers. Iray for The Harpwood Trail for Daz Studio which I have been using a lot ot make some back ground with and I used 3Delight for the Moose because of the LAMH preset. , Best viewed full size 1080HD
Thanks Ivy!
Nice, I love game cam images. You do know you can use LAMH in Iray?
neat image! I like the colors in the first, but the postwork make it.
Yes I been playing around with LAMH and Iray. But the The Harpwood Trail for Daz Studio uses so much resources that between the moose and the forest set it was maxing out my graphic cards and I actually like the looks of LAMH in 3dl better anyway Thanks for the comment on my game cam render
