Very cute Christmas hat! :D Thank you!
And still adoring that dress! :)
My thanks to the PAs. And a Merry Christmas, everyone.
(Just gearing up for the bird.)
To everyone who gave the freebies this year and to everyone who made it possible we could get them: Thank you very much and God bless all of you!
Love, Jeanne
What do ya know, the humans did eventually make An app for that.
Something called the "Disturbing Present Critical Systems Bypass ultraviolet-tooth utility". lol.
I did run in to a tad bit of difficulty getting the hat to move up just a tad to sit on top of Jessenia's hair, tho that may have bin my 200-pound gorilla paw clicking last night. Had no difficulty using a 'Null' to place the hat on the seat, so that may be an option for fitting the hat to some taller hair styles, I'll look at that later on. I must bee places, chat later, be safe y'all...
Critical Systems Bypass
, Didn't that end on a note similar to something like, We never should have revived someone. lol. Whatever, the elves are having a good time with all the cool gifts, thanks.
Merry Christmas all. Thank you for the many goodies. Haven't had time to use them much yet but their time will come.
Oops, I should have known it was not a turkey baster or torture device, lol.
Merry Christmas! Thank y to the wonderful PA's
Looking forward to another great year full of products from our wonderful vendors- thanks so much for sharing the freebies, you folks ROCK! Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!
I agree! The PAs who gave freebies away this year are awesome and really helped make my holiday better! And you know, because I got a freebie from them, it makes me want to buy more from them in the future! :D
I would like to throw my Thanks into this as well for all the amazing freebies this year, the PAs are the most amazing people there is!!!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPIEST OF THE NEW YEAR!!!!
It's ok, I looked twice at that a few times as well. And I think that adds to a render when it can imply multiple things instead of a rigid linear story line.
Dito.
As for the Hat.
Looks like putting it on a 'Null' and placing the null where you need the hat is the easiest way to get it there. The hat either dose not move or dose odd things if you try to move various bones on the hat it's self. AKA, the hat may not work well with all hair styles, and use with some elf ears may require additional D-former origami. Otherwise, looks fantastic 3D-GHDesign, thank you
.
It has been a lot of fun, following this thread and opening our gifts as they were added. Thank you, for both the gifts and that extra bit of magic for the holiday season. I can hardly wait to see what you guys bring us in 2017.
I don't remember if I already thanked the PAs or not. In case I didn't, THANK YOU. If I did, then THANK YOU again.
Here.. have a fit for MJC Anna
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wettmsi6nc70sof/FD_Classic_Dress_MJC_Anna_Fit.zip?dl=0
Now.. how I did it..
-Dialed up Anna, went to currently used and zeroed out everything else it added so it was just "Anna" active (including setting scale back to 100%)
-Selected the dress, turned collision iterations to 0 and smoothing iterations to 50 (I wasn't kidding when I said you could really crank it) and zeroed out all the morphs it loads with.
-Went to corner pull-down menu on the scene tab -> Edit -> Geometry -> Bake Smoothed Morphs, made sure Anna was the only thing checkmarked.
-Set smoothing iterations back to 3 and collision iterations back to 2.
-Dialed breast span medium fix to the negative until the little bit of left over breast bubble was gone (very smooth hump at that point)
(if you were just doing it for one render you'd be done at this point, just dial the style morphs for the wrinkles back up)
-Bridged to Hexagon (then went back to DS and zeroed out the breast span adjustment)
-Ran the smoothing brush over her bum (purely perfectionistic step, not entirely needed)
-Sent the dress back to DS, put in "Anna" and checkmarked overwrite existing. (You'd need to find out the internal name for the morph you're working with, open the properties of the morph to see "name", not "label", that one won't work, for Anna they are the same but they're usually not)
-With Dress selected, file -> save as -> support asset -> morph asset.. made sure Anna was the only thing checkmarked.
Tah dah! No need to resave the dress itself, any time you load it after that it will have the new morph in it.
Note - if you're doing it for a large breasted character you'd likely need to add some of the adjustment morphs for breasts to fix poke-through, zeroing out the collision itterations lets you see where the problem areas are.. with Anna there weren't any thankfully.
Fisty, thanks for the tutorial. I learned some of this before here in the forum from j cade, but it is nice to see it all again here from absolute beginning to end.
Ah
thanks and sorry. I had it looking rather OK I thought at one time and could not remember what dials had been used in the rush of things. The fit adjustment for Anna is greatly appreciated, and I'm sure will be quite useful on other figures as well, Thank you
thank you (hint of groveling).
Thank you Fisty and Darc! Your dress was one of the highlights of my Christmas! :D
Yes, all the fits and morphs included are really impressive. This gift dress outshines many products purchased recently.
You are just way too cool, plus a tutorial. :) One day I will get it all figured out and it will not seem like greek to me. hehe
Thanks!
Yes yes,
Thank you very much y'all.
I practiced with Fisty's tutorial to make a FBM for Tisha. Here is the result. The dress shader is from DG Iray Holiday Fabrics.
it is a man thing apparently; personally, i just don't think all you ladies are missing out on the fun of wondering why it doesn't work, and what that thing is that's left over.
Perfect!
This is an excellent tutorial. One thing that wasn't clear to me in the tutorial was the need to set the dress to base resolution. I forgot to do that, and when I imported my Blender-tweaked obj with Morph Loader Pro, I kept getting an error about geometry not matching. Changing the dress to base resolution, subD 0, and redoing the morph in Blender fixed the problem.
I've been meaning to go back and do a couple of things to her...
And the reason the Label and Name are the same...I hate having to hunt down the 'name', so I try to keep them the same, to preserve my sanity. Other mophs I've made but haven't posted yet will have the same setup of label/name being the same. It does make making custom fits and such much easier.
Is hoping it is nothing that will break stuff. Some of y'all do this for a living and can do it blindfolded... Others of us, it takes some time to figure out where the buttons switches and leaves are for that, lol
thank you.
I've been trying to think of something worthy of trying that on, and everything that I can think of that needs it has more extreme issues (biting tong). All I will say is, thank you Fisty for outfits that 'Just Work'.
Ah.. sorry I didn't add that step, it does it automatically when you bridge to Hexagon so I didn't even think about it.
Nope.. since you don't have to save the clothing item again the worst you can do it get one fit morph that's not right (and you can delete it from the data folder and start over if you need to).
More Anna love!
I always say I don't use G3, but Anna is that exception to the rule.
For those who will get Toon Generations for Genesis 3, here are the fit morphs. Also have 2 hair fits for TG hairs

@ZarconDeeGrissom
Yes, you can't move the hat if you select hat's head bone. As you can't move any other conforming items. Hat has 2 additional bones, after the head. Try to move the chest part on any shirt. You will see weird moves :) And I included an elf ear, so you can use with an elf ear.
