    Nice!

They are building apartments on every spare square inch of land near me, some of the riverbanks are already in shadow so things are bound to change there :)

This little town where I am hasn't changed much in the last 60 years that I can remember.  Oh, the older stores & buildings (blacksmith shop, wood chipping mill, train station, undertakers) downtown are gone and some of the spaces have become parking lots, and there's a new bridge across the creek.  The population hasn't changed much at all, still about 500.  The swimming hole at the creek has changed due to natural erosion but basically it's still the same except that the kids don't swim there anymore.  The cemetery is a little bigger, but that's probably because nobody's been moving out.  Many of the old trees are gone and not many are being replaced.  We've got new sidewalks in parts of the town.  We still have the parade on Memorial day with the kids on bicycles, and the firemen and their trucks and the horsepeople and their horses and old cars and now the motorcycles and the high school band.  However, we've lost the old town band that used to play Sousa marches at all town celebrations.  Many of the horse tie-up pillars are gone.  The ditches along the road have all been fitted with pipe and covered over.  Dogs aren't allowed to run free anymore.  We have a new town park with gazebo and picnic pavilion.  But basically the town hasn't changed much at all.

Sounds like the town where I live -- well, I live in the sticks, outside of town.  Redneck woman, and all that. ;-)  Not really, but one must pretend to conform.

But not a whole lot has changed in the county seat.  No horse-ties in awhile, I don't think.

...not for me as my retention with video format is not very good due to short tem memory issues. So much simpler  to have a book or a PDF open on the other screen to the section dealing with the task at hand.  I have to keep replaying and videos over and over to the point I'm doing that more than actually working out the issue and learning about the process.

    ...interesting day.

On my way to the pub I heard the *boom chucka* of a vehicle subwoofer.

When I turned to look i thought it would either be one of these:

    ...or one of these

...but it  ended up being one of these.

    i couldn't help but laugh.
