Plushies, I want more plushies

I love the plushies and have purchased all that have appeared in Daz so far. I found the blank figure in my content but have a folder for materials and nothings there. Anyone know where the textures for these should be.

Edit: Wait, I think I found them. Under the pose section, weird.

I love the plushies, too.  I had them on my wishlist over at RDNA when the merger happened.  Now, I can finish adding to my collection!  Looks like there are still a few missing so there might be more to come.

Has anyone rendered the plushies inDS? I am curious how the fur turns out. I am tempted to buy them.

Give me a minute and I'll post one.

Okay, something still isn't right. I added the textures to the plushies and the only one that shows right is Tobi. As far as the fur though it seems to render ok, just colors are not right with material options.

They should be quite easy to set up for DS as it isn't a complicated node set up in Poser. Which is just as well, as I rarely render in poser.

They render quite beautifully in Iray after a simple shader conversion, though the colour gets kind of lost. (And the Lulubelle has an error in the folder structure for the default load. There's a a "Samantha" in the folder names where it shouldn't be...)

All the morphs and bones work perfectly.

RedeyeCat has this set of shader presets for 3Delight (yeah, they are old but still work)

    https://redeyecat.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/rec-plushie-shaders-for-ds-3-1/

There are a couple more 'fuzzy' shader presets here...

Awesome. There is also a Unicorn add on for Diamond horse on the Redeyecat site I just downloaded https://redeyecat.wordpress.com/buried-treasures/

I am only missing Lulubelle and Rufus.  I never got Rufus because he was included with Poser.  What is the difference between the poser version and the Daz3d version?

Nice, Chohole!! But you did this in Poser right? I could never get this effect in Studio. But I haven't tried since early versions.

It's Chohole, so she may have done it in Bryce.

Have the expression and pose packs followed the models over here, or are they something to keep an eye out for their migration?

There were a number of addon textures for several of the plushies. I'm also hoping to see AliBea's shader packs come over (although I don't know if those will land in PC+). She has a very nice set of plush shaders for 3Delight that work beautifully.

...wish there was a plushie texture for the Toonimal Lamb.

Since I saw the promo image in the shop yesterday I can't help wondering why the bunny has his "anatomical elements" on his chest?

Ah... That's not anatomically correct elements, but stylized fluffy "chest" hair that cartoon rabbits often have. Check out here: http://www.toonvectors.com/clip-art/cute-cartoon-rabbit-bunny/43964

These plushies just keep getting better! Thank you for the Iray presets. :)

A lot of the add-on textures for the Plushies were Poser only, and as a DS only user I wanted them! I don't know if this new version of DS can do the alpha transparency thing -- I am clueless about more advanced surface materials -- but I got around the problem by just making the files into a texture I could apply in DS.

It may be more work than some folks want to bother with, but I explained what I did here: Giving Rufus his stripes in DS

I did the same thing for a bunch of other add-on textures for the Plushies. It's been a while, but I do remember I used different layer settings on some of them.

Also related to this, there's a prop set for the Plushies that included wings, halo, etc. The textures were Poser procedural ones and I ended up making some toony sparkle materials in DS so I could use them with the butterfly wings -- Sparkle Star Materials for DS

  • Well, I got my wish. 13 plushies went in the cart today. After the Karth discounts yesterday I was hoping some of the same today but alas, plushies adding up. No matter, I will have a formidable army soon and all will fall at the feet of my mighty plushies!

    Traveler,

Have you ever made a lobster plushie? I'm looking for one, posted about it here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/72514/looking-for-a-lobster

If you ever make one, I'd be the first in line to buy it! It's actually an important prop in my book and would love to use it in some of the promos I'm creating.

My plushie army is training. All in render from the RDNA migration. Used the toon courtyard and scavenged, junkyard weapons.
