There's plenty in my wishlist that wasn't on sale. But as soon as they finish importing it from RDNA, I'm sure they'll have a sale for it.
I hope the last catchup sale that includes the whole store is a little late because I have a couple of 'new' items in my wishlist that go off the new status about 3 or 4 October.
ATI... I haven't gotten any alerts from your lists. I may need to verify that I am signed up correctly for it. Clearly the problem is operator error on my end. :)
So how does the PC sale work, given how discounted most PC+ items already are?
No way of knowing what they have planned this year, but in the past there've often been a bundle of a couple of dozen free items for PC members, bundles of 10 or so items for $2.99 or $9.99, a boost in the 30% discount on DO's to 40%.
I been lurking for a long time now. I'm considering taking the plunge and getting a PC membership. I just want to wait until it's on sale. $70 is a lot. I don't think I will buy enough to make it worth it. Everything else around here goes on sale. How about the PC membership? Is it ever lower than $70 for an annual?
It has in the past - I got an Annual for $49 in a "Best Sellers" sale in 2013, a FREE Quarterly in 2014 with an (admittedly large) purchase and a heavily discounted Annual towards the end of the PA Festival last year - keep your eyes open!
The lowest I have ever gotten an annual PC+ membership was for $12 when it was included in the "Bundle Sale" in early August. That was a real rarity but it does show on sale for $35 to $45 every once in awhile.
I'd say you missed the best price already this year:( But, they used to offer some store credit if you bought the annual subscription during the PC sale. I don't know if they still do that or not. I guess we'll see in a few weeks.
I got a yearly sub for a little over $12 due to some insanely awesome stacking discounts a while back, but I don't think it will be going that low again anytime soon. However I've heard they will likely offer a discounted membership right before or during the PC+ sale.
If for some reason you don't get it on sale, I'd say its still worth it. Even if you buy nothing beyond your PC membership, you get freebies every month, which can be hit or miss, but for the most part I've liked them. So I'd estimate the freebies were worth $35 to me, depends on your needs and tastes. Plus you get 2 - $6 coupons a month, one requires a purchase of $18, but the other one doesn't have a minimum purchase, so its basically giving your money right back to you, only catch, its only good for Daz Originals. So you are getting a bunch of freebies plus at least $72 worth of Daz originals stuff right there without spending another penny. So even without a discount it pays for itself. I paid full price when I was new, not realizing it went on sale at times, but I don't regret it because the extra savings i've gotten during my binge buying sprees has definitely made it worth many times its cost.
Yeah, I'm tempted to buy something too so that I can get Stephanie 6 and Teen Josie 6 for free. But I would be buying something I wouldn't buy otherwise just to get 2 figures that I'm not sure I'd use anyway.
Stephanie's skin does look pretty good in the promos but it also looks like they where shot in 3Delight so I'm not sure how it would look in Iray. And I'm not sure it would be worth $12 for a skin that I may or may not use and an outfit or some other new thing that I may or may not use. I do like one of the outfits and MIGHT use it, but I would be nice if we could get S6 and TJ6 for free with either a Debut item OR a Still New item. That would be a no brainer for me, as there are five things in the Still New list that are on my wish list that I would snatch up in a second if it meant getting two figures with as well. However, I'm pretty "meh" about the Debut items, so... yeah. I'm torn. And $12 is cheap for a lot of people, but not for me.

I like Steph 6's face and her texture is actually quite good in iray (I use V3digitime's converter, but you could probably get the same results without any product). Her body doesn't seem right to me. The waist is weird, but otherwise, she's worth free for sure:) But, only if you were going to buy that other something already. I got her with her pro-pack at some point back and there are some nice things in it.
I rendered a quickie for you to her with iray render. Keep in mind this is with zero work on my part. I loaded her up. Clicked on the first option in the V3 Digitimes dialog and added the hair and clothes. I did use OOT Iray Hair Pair on the hair, but I have no idea what sort of shaders are on the clothes...but, they are black so you probably wouldn't notice anyway:)

This makes me decision a bit harder as now I really want her. lol
To be more precise, you get a freebie every Wednesday, and then an extra one on the first Wednesday of each month. So totally worth it even if you aren't buying content much.
That said, next month will very likely have a discount on memberships so I would wait until the sale actually starts and see what they offer. You could also just buy a 3 month version in order to get the things you want in the sale at much cheaper and also any Daz Originals you want at 30%+ off.
Today may be the stupidest offer I've ever seen. Get 20% off gift cards, memberships, and all Daz Originals - which is fantastic. But to do so you have to buy all 3 of today's releases - or a selection of buildings that only work in Poser.
20% off gift cards is great but the 3 item requirement means it's going to have to be a MASSIVE gift card to save any money on it. And of course it's too big an investment to do it once to buy the gift card, then again to use that gift card to buy a huge Originals purchase.
20% off Originals including a membership if you don't have one, and the new Sunny is great. But the 3 item requirement means they need to be 3 items you actually would pretend to use someday to be remotely worth it ... and since most shoppers aren't Poser users, that means buying all 3 new releases like it or not.
And I already have a bunch of Dreamland sets (and I don't see why they wouldn't work in Studio? or am I missing something because they're low-poly versions?), and don't like the other releases. Ah well, nothing wrong with a day off:-)
Wait ...what!? Those only work in Poser!? Oh man, I got so excited when I saw those and I'm like 'Whao! They come up to only $6 each!' ...but Poser only. What? WHY? I am sad panda.
This implies that they do work in Studio. Please clarify.
I can only test for the high-poly versions that I have, and not until tonight, so you'll have to wait a bit for the answer... at least if you want more than a vague guess;-)

It may still work in Studio in some capacity but those suggest to me that you're going to lose some or have to do a lot of it on your own. If you want to do that, great. Personally I don't like paying for things I have to rebuild myself afterwards.

I'm wondering if they meant to apply it to Debut and Still New Releases. That would make more sense, considering past sales. We all know how badly the ad copy writers here at DAZ can step in it.

Yeah if it was Debut + Still New, the sale is suddenly pretty good for those looking to spend a lot of money.
and the rest are V4 and older. I would guess that this giant Mega Fastgrab is aimed towards Poser users buying the buildings.
The thing is that there isn't really a selection to support wanting the Originals on sale, which especially newer ones are more aimed at Studio users than Poser. It's like they tried to do two completely different things at the same time with one big condition that isn't exactly well supported.

I find this hard to believe on a day when new stuff is Poser-based. I've stopped using Poser.
I want a discounted gift card, but I don't want any of the new releases.
I'm curious if I bought 3 debut items, and a gift card, but then returned the 3 debut items a day later, would I get to keep the discounted gift card since gift cards are technically non-refundable?
