OMG, I can hear it! Have you ever considered stand-up comedy as a career? Or is he just that predicable?
I've thought of imitating George Burns taking a cigar out of his mouth, and have the audience laugh. Or Jack Benny just placing his hand on his cheek, turning to the audience with a naive/dour/confused look on his face as the audience bursts out in laughter.
Gift: Here's a spare "p" for the next time you run out.
It would be more sit-down comedian, but as former class clown of Benton Elementary and Polk County High School, I already consider myself Semi-Pro. I bought George Carlin's first album. Then all the good comedy albums I could find through the years. It only stopped when the best new comedians weren't the ones cutting albums. Now I have a new favorite in Henry Cho. He's got a lot of "Reels" on facebook, I haven't checked, but he probably has stuff on YouTube. South Korean, born in Tennessee, he's a real hoot.
And when you imitate Jack Benny, don't forget the perfectly timed "Well..." that went with that gesture.
"The tune comes one, two, three times in the hands—and when it comes the fourth time in the feet, I dance the gigue!"
--Virgil Fox the flamboyant concer organist on percorming J.S. Bach's Fuge in G Major [ala Gigue] (BVW577) during his "Heavy Organ" concert at Winterland in San Franacisco :
Dear-oh-dear-oh-deer: This morning momma deer, and two pre-pubescent fawns who had lost their spots but still only about half the size of momma, were grazing on the neighbor's lawn outside my kitchen window. They had come from the woods behind the neighbor-up-the-hill, then stayed for about 5 minutes on the lawn munching something tasty, then sauntered the rest of the way down and watchfully crossed the road for a day down in the swamp. Window was too dirty for photographs and opening the door would have scared them away. You'll just have to take my word for it.
Complaint: Gotta clean that kitchen window.
Noncomplaint: I finally got a response from a couple of cleaning companies. I'd advertised for someone to thoroughly clean & wax my kitchen & bathroom floors (better than I was able to do) including moving the stove & refrigerator to get underneath them, scrubbing the bathtub, baseboards & tiles. One quote was twice the other. So, what's the catch? And unfortunatley, that means that I have to move my pantry and all it's contents from the shelves to somewhere. And I, just the day before, had cut up all my accumulated boxes in which to store the cans, jars, & boxes of foods while not on the shelf, so that the pantry shelves can be moved out of the room to be able to get the rug out from under them. Bad timing. Also, I still have that huge air-conditioner still in the box, that has absolutely nowhere else to go except out of the house onto the porch again. If I can get the A/C box out of the kitchen I can buy a third tall, 5-level, shelf set to complete a three-wall pantry in the corner of the kitchen and have a place to store my things more neatly. Anybody need a HUGE A/C? Perhaps, I can interest the cleaning people, or perhaps El-Nino will make the rest of the summer so hot that someone around here will get desperate for one.
Actually, I did clean that window, just a few days ago. Got the ladder, paper towels, Windex, long handled window squeegee tool bought recently specifically for this job, and bug spray. Arghhh..., Spider! Nasty spider. Not the cute, little, black, slow moving, beautiful web weaver that's visited me every summer and set up his trap outside the window, but a fast, brown, vicious looking thing that created a chaotic mass of web. I can put up with a couple daddy-long-legs in the house during the year, hiding behind the bookshelf (until it loiters too long in my sight and the vacuum is handy), and I can tolerate the cute beautiful web weaver on the outside of the window, but fast, big, brown ones are not tolerated at all! Don't want her breeding anywhere near the house. So I sprayed the window, got rid of the carcass with a brush. Used the brush to get rid of a year's accumulation of leaf debris from the sideways sliding window track, sprayed with Windex, used the long handled squeegee to clean the window, packed everything up and took it all back inside to discover that the squeegee doesn't do a good job at all. Now I have to take the ladder out again, find a way to get it closer to the window so that I can clean the window the old fashioned way with paper towels, Windex and elbow grease. And life goes on (except for the brown spider). Hopefully, the little black web weaver, or one of her kin, will come back if the brown one didn't eat her.
Pretty good series. (Spoilers) Especially the plot with the competing five species from one planet that were building massive spheres throughout space and sending a giant raygun to obliterate Earth**. And even the time-travel plot had it's good parts, but the alien Nazis in WWII plot in the final year kinda left me cold. Admittedly, It's been decades since I've seen it, so my memory may be muddled. But in earlier years I liked the trip to a destroyed far future universe during the time war. Also, I particularly liked watching Orlando get obliterated. ZAAAAP! And the scene of the "spheres" collapsing out of our dimension. Good series.

Weren't the spheres built by a differnt race of extra-dimensional thingies that could detect probabilities and so plot to bring about their aims, who were using the five species from one planet as their catspaws?

Something like that. The Suliban, I think they were called. It's hard to remember.... It's been a long time.

Grrr..., eroneous post
Interesting note: Wish I could go. Jerry Seinfeld is here in Jamestown tonight. Headlining at the beginning of the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival. Too late for me, tickets, when I checked, were $400 and it's already sold out. But, wheee... I saved $400.
The venue is the hockey arena across the street from the National Comedy Center. This is the 75th year anniversary of "I Love Lucy".
Oops, double post
as long as you don't sing like Fred Astaire
Sure you can, just give it a try.

I always preferred Thunder in my Heart. Awesome song.

I've performed it, and he is right.
All this time, I had assumed you were a small Asian monk with an arrow on your head.
Hey, people can change.
Aang isn't Asian, he's an Air Nomad.
I suppose next you're going to tell me you're not a bear.

You'd better clean your windows then
I am definitally what my avatar is.
Edit: actually that is my friend Misty. I do not look like her to be honest. Her ears are bigger than mine.,

This was an ai image of me trying to combine two different shows.
@Xyetzt, that is just sweet as all get out. But I can't place the Beagle.
It looks like Porthos from Enterprise.
Ah, missed that part of the 'Enterprise' series then. Not sure if it went behind a paywall or was dropped from my cable service.

**Note: I think they must have been using an Eludium Pew-36 Explosive Space Modulator.
Exactly!
Probably made Marvin proud!
