Daz6 has many improvements : it loads way faster figures, open and close also really faster. Many non Daz stuff are apearing in smart content, with a lot of errors, but it's areally good start.

DZ6 was released too early, it's stil a beta.

The real killing problem is the lack of compatible scripts and plugins : that's a total show stopper.

I hope that PAs from every shop will release updates at a really small fee.

TBH, I'm fed up to have to buy the exact same product for G3, G8, G8.1 and G9, not to mention the next generation around the corner.

Well I tried to use the beta version on both my 4060 and 3070 machines and the viewport was AWFUL across both, and it seems like that's still an issue with the full release. 90% of what I do, I do in viewport with lighting checks in iray preview. If I have to have the same responsiveness in the main viewport as I do in a busy, fully loaded iray preview, I will not be using 6, ever, if that remains the case. I'll ride the 4.xx train until it finally falls off the rails or they fix it... Or i can finally afford a card that can just overpower it, if that ever becomes a thing...

I mean seeing as how 100% of what we do in Daz occurs in that viewport, there being issues this severe is a little more than a problem. And I have little confidence that some Windows update is gonna fix that.

I'm experiencing trouble with posing a G9 figure. By posing, I mean select a body part, go to Posing tab and drag a slider. This is a scene file created in BETA. Just one figure at world origin. The viewport is set to Wireframe or Lit Wireframe to eliminate Iray Preview issues. It's agonizingly slow. I've re-saved the file in 6, shut down and restarted. No improvement. Very odd because I never experienced this in the ALPHA or BETA.

Would you post the .duf file please (with a note of any additional content needed)?

Thanks for the offer. I was deleting everything I could in order to provide the least amount of requirements to test and discovered that it was something related to how I used Akhelloos' Iridessa Hair for G9 (Conforming and Posable). When I delete the hair, posing is fine. Undo the delete, posing is bad. Delete the hair and add it again as a new object, posing is fine.

I've attached the DUF file with the bad version of the hair. It needs Jennie 9 and Akhelloos Iridessa Hair.

EDIT: I also moved the bad hair to a new Genesis 9 figure, straight off the assembly line, and same poor pose performance.

    1. Install DAZ 6
    2. Fix UI and remove AI component
    3. Open .duf file that previously rendered just fine in 4.x and 6-beta
    4. Hit render without making any changes
    5. Crash immediately.
    6. Repeat steps 3-5.
    7. Post here with logs and crash dumps. Can't post the .duf here; it violates forum rules.

What was the UI fix? One can't just remove the AI component. It would be better to disable it in About Installed Plugins. What did the .duf scene file contain, so I can try and recreate.

I noticed that my Hardware options changed on my first render attempt in 6. I also used BETA, but 6 loses all your settings. (Which is what I think you mean by "Fix UI"?) In Render Settings > Hardware tab, I had to uncheck my CPU in Photoreal and Interactive modes and uncheck Allow CPU Fallback.

I don't have that hair, so my testing won't achieve much. Perhaps someone else will be able to verify.

Can I adjust the font size?  I have a big 4k monitor and the fonts are too small.
