DS has the native ability to texture atlas, so if that's the only thing holding you back from using Daz figures in a game, you already have the tools you need.

Thanks for the info @Charlie Judge -  I vaguely understood these game-ready items have a special all-in-one material atlas or something so where it lists char ALL MAT I sort of thought it included the clothes/clothing mats also, since every picture -even the clay renders!- for the chars shows the clothing & hair instead of showing a bare g9 figure (at least in the clay render it should!.).   But I sort of doubted they'd be including clothes & hair at the price - plus the little blurbs about the char under Details sounded suspiciously like all the blurbs for all those ?dial-spun? character preset only items weve been seeing non-stop for several weeks now and made me suspect these were just more of those except with a special mat packaging.  I sort of like the faces of some of these chars - am I right to assume these are basically normal g9 characters to which I could just apply normal g9 skins etc to instead of using the game-ready mats they come with?

I am very bad at explaining things sadly crying

Sevenly HD looks nice but it appears there is no morph for realistic human ears?
    https://www.daz3d.com/sevenly-hd-for-genesis-9

I can confirm that, no ear morph and I couldn't find one in my morph library that would do it either.

I made a morph to remove the elf ears from CHT Sevenly. I'm not a PA, so I can't modify the HD morphs, but they make only tiny alterations to the ears anyway, so it still works pretty well with Sevenly HD. The morph is called CHT Sevenly Remove Elf Ears. It only works if you have CHT Sevenly Head dialed in, because otherwise it would make a real mess of the ears. You can drop this zip file into your DIM downloads folder. Then in DIM, you will find it in the Ready to Install tab. Just install it. There are no "user facing files". You will find the morph dial in the Parameters pane. If you prefer, you can unzip the file and install it manually, just like any other Daz manual download.

The attached image is just for reference. It is the image you will see on the morph dial after installation.  You don't need to download this png file.

    Thank you very much barbult!:)

I see the big difference, between Game Ready assets and regular DUF items.

Yes, it is very easy to put Game Ready character in Unity scene,

but it will be not trivial to change hair, clothes or morphs of Genesis 9 included with FBX version.

I am actually surprised Genesis 9 poses, animations and AniBlocks work on the GameReady FBX figure imported into D|S

need zero rotation on base and clothes

load poses on the Genesis9(2) bit

as I said in another thread could be animated background characters to populate scenes

Great to know. I have already animated these new FBX characters in Unity very easily.

Probably they are less resource heavy as regular Genesis 9 characters.

PS.  I'm a hairdresser in the real world so this really bugs me!  LOL

Off-topic, but my hat is off to you. My youngest isn't able to sit for a hair stylist (autism issues) so I do my best... and more than once I've had to comfort myself with "well, it'll grow back" and the fact that he doesn't care what it looks like as long as it's out of his face.

Your artform is seriously harder than it looks!

I'm more of a mature hairdresser and my clients are even older than I am.  BUT yea, over the decades I've had clients that moved around allot and it becomes a game to get them to settle and let me work my magic.  GOOD LUCK!

I usually love Zeddicus stuff. But I'm a little disappointed in https://www.daz3d.com/z-action-heroes-expressions-for-genesis-9

The names on the expressions are:

    • Z ACTHR 01 G9 Action Hero
    • Z ACTHR 02 G9 Action Hero
    • Z ACTHR 03 G9 Action Hero
    • etc

They'll never show up in a search for worried, angry, triumphant, etc. Maybe when they're not new...

Question for anyone who picked up Polish Food Truck.

I can see from the promos that the back door opens and closes, but does the service window close, too? The truck is described as having "functional service windows", but there are no promos with them closed as far as I can tell.

When I can get DIM to respond, I'll let you know.

BTW, is your avatar meant to be Jared Padalecki?

EDIT: Nope, no bones for the serving hatch, it's fixed. indecision

@garrett_3d Thanks for the information. Disappointing about the truck.

And, yes, that's a Genesis 8 Male character I made almost 9 years ago that was inspired by the actor, available elsewhere. I've been working on an older version for G9, too. you can see him here: https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/user/5768571896463360#image=1378292

Has there been a flash sale recently? I keep expecting one.

Not seen one. Although a lot of my discounted W/L stuff has ended up half the advertised price when added to basket.

There was a "blink" sale on one PA a few days ago... spacing which PA it was, though.

Lyoness had one lasting 4 hours (at least it was advertised as lasting four hours, I didn't stay awake to check if it was the case).

Yeah, that was the one I was thinking of.

I bought the Xi Destitute Street

it was one of the things I suggested in the Stonemason Americana thread

thought this is not necessarily an American street

our homeless in Adelaide at least, seem to prefer parks or squatting

(or hidden homelessness in cars and campers)

it's still a sad situation worldwide it seems

I wishlisted it for purchase tomorrow. It looks like L.A., but the buildings would be nicer. Same squalour on street level though. The juxtaposition was striking the first time I saw it in '23. They've hidden some of it for the World Cup.

I wound up returning the Polish food truck park bundle. Between a park where you can't get rid of the graffiti on the buildings -- using a shader wipes out everything but the windows, because the buildings are only two surfaces -- and a food truck with an uncloseable service window, it just didn't work for me.

The Catering Truck Bundle has a much smaller food truck, but at least all the windows and doors seem to work.

I've requested a refund on the Polish food truck too. The park environment I can work with though.

Is there any way to contact Polish to suggest a modification to the truck? Is Polish a resident on here?

Thanks for sharing that review. I think I'll pass on the bundle, too.

Xivon's Destitute Street juxtaposed with Stonemason's The Suburbs with a poignant YouTube Audio library soundtrack.

It's a nice product and on my wishlist, but an unfortunate reality for the product is that the streets are far too swept and clean. sad

some of these  can hlp that sitration, but agreed on cleanliness. DAZ has a tendency in that category in a lot of instances.  https://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result?q=trash
