I bought the set, but as a fantasy/sci-fi one, not necessarily based on actual history of Earth.
But out of curiosity here is a link to various styles of roung houses in wikipedia and where they are in the British Isles and elsewhere in Europe and around the world.
Edited to add the additional locations. A good idea gets around.
I quite like https://www.daz3d.com/celtic-ruins-diorama as a collection of houses. But.. I'm blowed if I have any recollection of any archaeological site that shows the Celts built houses in stone. If I recall correctly, they were Iron Age and seem to have worked more in wood than stone for all buildings in the pre-Roman era. In the Roman Era, they wre largely indistinguishable from the Romans, working in stone, brick & wood. In the post-Roman Era, the Celts were pushed North & West, but Christianised before the Angles & Saxons, leaving Christian marker crosses and possibly very small churches all round the west & north, but no stone houses.
Am I wrong in this? Have I missed stone house workings by the Celts anywhere? If I'm correct, the naming of the set is a problem and it's a fantasy set. If I'm wrong, I'd love to learn about the bit of the Celts I've missed entirely.
you do some great stuff still haven't got everything but bought a lot of it took a while and your add on pack you had adds a lot to your outher proiducts still haven't gotten around to using it all yet oh and your promos art are great as always
Thank you for all your positive feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed them, and that the add-ons gave you even more ways to have fun with the characters
thats quite the uh gargoyle Daz.. can't say I've ever seen one like that. funny enough that I just watched "This is the End" again last night, reminds me of that scene with Jonah Hill
oh you'd be suprised shocked by some real life ones few more detailed than that in certain areas I've seen videos and photos of over the years
So true. My ex and I were in York, England many years ago and took a tour of the York Minster (formerly St. Peter's Cathedral) and the tour guide was quite happy to point out all of the various weird sculptures and reliefs that had been worked into various parts of the walls and ceiling by bored artists over the centuries, some of which were rather rude. Apparently many of those guys worked more or less non-stop for years and either no one was really supervising their work too closely or the supervisors were just as bored as the artisans. We couildn't believe it when the first episode of Jonathan Strange And Mr. Morel came out a few years later and the first big magic scene was not only filmed at the Minster, but many of those same sculptures were shown coming to life via CG.
I have bought it but I'm totally confused. It says it doesn't need any other products but DIM only installed files in Runtime\Textures and Rutime\Support, there's nothing I can load in Studio. I think the installer is broken.
My plan is to never buy it or anything like it. Regards, Richard
+1.
In the unlikely event I ever needed such a thing it would be 3 minutes or so in Blender, followed by 3 months of wondering whether I should rig the mouth and eyes for expressions. Nope, not buying it.
What do you do if your character's leg looks like this?
Possibly a conflict in morphs or something accidentally installed on the base figure. I ran into this a while back with G9, which has funky bends already, and I unloaded a bunch of recently installed characters and eventually found it was a character from Magic Brush that was affecting G9 overall. Ran into the same problem with another G9 where a shoulder bend was going funky. Solved THAT problem with the much faster methofd of replacing the figure with a G8F.
I like a lot of the detailwork in https://www.daz3d.com/the-wayfarers-camp but... how do you move the wagon? Push it? There doesn't appear to be a way to hitch it to a horse or anything.

Can't tell for sure, but I understand the Splitter splits by bones, so if that doesn't have one Splitter won't help, but: there are YT tuts on "how to make any door open on any prop", the base principle is you create a new bone, align it to where the hinges would be and assign the surfaces to the bone. That is, if the door textures align with the borders, so have a look at the wire frame first.

Thanks for narrowing down my troubleshooting. I own only Bionda, Julis, & Wiera from Magic Brush. Perhaps I'm safe.
This looks a lot like a die-cast toy made using a one-piece molding method (maybe a mold). That's what this item looks like. I like these, but I find it hard to see it as a real fighter jet rather than a toy.
It would be even better if the fighter jet's cabin doors could be opened, revealing an internal cockpit, and even if the wings and turbines could deform.
Giving a fan-girl shout-out to Phoenix -- thank you for doing such an incredible job with Billy, and making him available for the rest of us to nerd out with. :)

Looks more like a 15th c. farmhouse ruin to me.

Can anyone who got https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-longfall-mystic-hair-for-genesis-9 let me know if it's possible to make those front drape-over-the-shoulder parts go behind the shoulders (so all the hair is down the back)?
TIA.
Is anyone planning to buy the JAF Pear? https://www.daz3d.com/jaf-pear
I'm considering either buying only the https://www.daz3d.com/bj-pose-zone-plugin or buying three plugins to get the biggest discount..
https://www.daz3d.com/varyrender Is this similar to Camera Magic?
https://www.daz3d.com/nd-cloth-simulation-toolkit The ad looks cool, but there seem to be many competing products. I recently bought https://www.daz3d.com/bs-dforce-cloth-simulation-shaders; is there a big difference?

This is the first time I would have liked the forum to have a "crying with laughter" emoji.

damn, I just spent almost 70AUD, unheard of for me
thanks to that 50% off 5 banner including new releases it
of course I included that elven outfit bundle
got it for USD35 which is good
our 0.666 diffence in exchange rate always adds a lot though wiping out most of the discount

It seems the carriage door can't be opened. I wonder if this https://www.daz3d.com/c66-figure-splitter
help create a door on the carriage.
Will need a handle kitbashed in as well

There are more presets and scripts and i have many base shaders too.
The door (or a door) is listed as a separate prop.

I love this! A bus stop in space is really interesting, and the design is great too. Should I call this retro sci-fi?

Spike (James Marsters) is that you?
almost scared to say after my last lookalike blunder where everyone didn't see a resemblece to whom I thought
See this https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/9606531/#Comment_9606531
Yes, it's a Spike-alike.
Y'all beat me to it. Might go find my old Buffy DVDs now ...
Yes! I've been waiting for this one ever since the Buffy-looking character dropped.
I know! I'm half tempted to drop everything I'm doing and make some Buffy fanfiction.
