I guess you could use a script like https://www.daz3d.com/v3d-filatoon-converter-manager-and-tools

which I have and works quite well (on other stuff, not tried or own new animal versions )

Er... I don't see any new filatoon products in the store, just a bunch of old stuff.

Damn, G9, G8, AND centaur variants?

How bizarre. I wonder which devilishly handsome rogue might have helped that happen...

... okay, I admit it, it was me.

The general story is that I had a workflow I wanted to test and Ruris was willing to let me loose on his work in progress set.

So, as what I was testing was mostly a process for streamlining making corrective fits, this product ended up with G8F support - and what I think is fair to describe as quite a lot of it (even if G8F support is increasingly outmoded these days). Unless I forgot one, every core character for G8F and G8.1F is covered (as well as a few Gen7 core shapes from that Gravity Studios converted for "7 for 8" products). And the list on the product page is s actually quite cropped, as it skips over mentioning the core morph pacakge's breast shapes, Daz's Transgender morph set, Zev0's Breast Control, Soto's Breast Utilities, and various incidental things like Mechasar's Beverly (it mentions the G9 version, but forgets her G8.1 version).

The centaur support was not originally on the plans, but happened anyway. Because I thought it was funny.

Alas, the way that yesterday's new Centaur 9 shapes are set up means that the Centaur 9 wearables are not auto-following them well, but I will have a package out to fix those later. (The corrective fits have been made, but need at least some testing. When we were working on this, we had no knowledge that Daz themselves had new centaur stuff in the pipeline that they were going to group this with, so I'm rushing to catch up with that).

That's not old stuff, it's a new version based on the Daz animals of previous 3DU standalone figures.

And OP did notice that there isn't any new filatoon stuff. That was their point: a bunch of new toon stuff was released, which was the perfect opportunity for filatoon stuff, but there's none.
Hopefully there will be a filatoon add-on for the animals later, they made one for toon Generations 9 so there's hope.

Wasn't a converter made to do it yourself? I'm being serious. I have memory issues.

Yes, that is what @WendyLuvsCatz posted about. It works very well. There is also the one by @3Diva https://www.daz3d.com/easy-filatoon.

Looks like the DAZ shop has been infected with the "Mad Cow" disease.

Yes, there are converters available. I have these two and they work well: https://www.daz3d.com/easy-filatoon and https://www.daz3d.com/v3d-filatoon-converter-manager-and-tools

But having materials and textures optimized for Filatoon enables you to get different results from "textures made for Iray and then converted to Filatoon".

That is my point!!!! I post here all the time about the lack of filatoon support. My post is sarcasm.

:head hitting wall: Again, this is my point. Daz commissioned Toons and ignored completely filatoon support.

Bless you for understanding what I posted. I guess I should have added "This is sarcasm" at the end of it.

This again. I have both converters. They are great for what they CAN do. I want native support. Converted assets, as Leana points out, are never as good as purpose built native assets.

Why does it exist if they don't ever support it? And yes, I've heard the comments that the PAs probably feel it isn't worth supporting because it doesn't generate sales. Isn't that a self fulfilling prophecy if Daz doesn't ask PAs to support it in DO products? Here they commissioned a bunch of TOON avatars and neglected their toon render engine. Madness.

The "old stuff I was referring to were the items in the "60% Off Select Toon & Anime Items" selection.

For the record, Daz Originals are not necessarily commissioned. Most of the time they're simply products that a PA created and that Daz bought upfront rather than selling them as PA items.

And they could say "could you add filatoon?" But that doesn't happen.

We don't know that, please don't indulge in speculation.

It's great to see Magix 101's work again. I really love this series, but it would be even better if it were more modular. Whether it's terrain, environment, houses, or furniture, being able to piece everything together in this style would be magical.

As always, this is my favorite high-quality oriental clothing. The hood is a huge plus, making it even more special. It generously offers three color options and exquisite jewelry. I might buy it today. If you add the removable design and various transformation options, it would be worth double the price!!

    I shouldn't have, but I did. Lala-Rabbit is wonderful.

Space Elsa's VDB Energy set looks really appealing. Many interesting pieces and variants, including some mesh too. I don't know if I'll have time to shop today, but on the wishlist it goes.

I was looking at a hair to fill in my cart today and found a thread in this old thread.

Magic Brush seems to have a pretty questionable understanding of what an afro is

Nice hair - but AFRO? laugh

Maybe I have been really hiding under a rock for too long, but that hair is nothing like what my friends had, who had to straighten their hair from their natural tight curls to something the Air Force would accept, before an Afro curl style (short) was permitted in the early 1970s. It does look like something someone with very fine, thin straight hair might get with a perm or curlers/styling wand. And my friends, the minute they had the option to stop straightening their hair with chemicals, they did. Still had to keep it short, nothing like the big Afro's in the store, more like an inch deep. I hope DAZ rethinks this name and changes it like they have done to others.

On the promo, the name of the hair has been changed to:  dForce Loose Curly Hair for Genesis 9

But the URL is still:  https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-loose-curly-afro-hair-for-genesis-9

I don't know if that will cause a conflict with DIM and Smart Content and our Content Libraries in the future, but I thought I should note it.

    Mary

Edit to add: SKU 110576. As I download the promo, in the tab showing the url, it reflects the name of the promo, not the url's name. I also added the url for the old thread.

Amazing. This is my favorite today, as well. I like Space Elsa products very much. I have purchased 39 of her products so far.

Hairy Stealz!!! Let's see all the G9 hair goodness... Not a one. Well, surly these steals are just mostly hair:

    355 of 4,052 items

Okay, all the hair must be hiding in the new releases:

    Crocodile hair? Mmm, okay.

  • memcneil70memcneil70 Posts: 6,077

I saw the tease 'Loosing Your Hair' and hoped someone had come up with a script to either search the store or our Runtimes for a specific style we need (part on side?; length?; curl?; straight?; updo?; braided?; ...) but no. Will still have to do that manually.

But there was a hair that is what my own hair was like when I would grow it out long enough to drive me nuts, https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-fe-messy-short-strand-based-hair-for-genesis-9-8-and-81. Not thick enough for ponytails or to put up in an updo when it was longer, just long enough to stick into my eyes, irritate my neck, stick to me when it was a humid day. And make me think I had bugs crawling up my face and neck. Or just look like strings on a hot, sticky humid day.

I am buying it. It is a real hair. Thank you @FeSoul.
