'70% off Barnyard Breakouts' and '70% off Farm Foliage' 'Extra 30% off if you buy or own any Golden Ticket' only works if you have the three current golden tickets:
The required items for the three individual Matchmaker expansion products make no sense. Why would they all require each other? ]
File upload is not working. I cannot post an image of the problem.
OK, finally - here is an image of one of the three expansion products for the Matchmaker Shader System. It shows that it requires the other expansions. The other expansions also require all three. This makes no sense to me. If they all require each other, why are they separate products?
And the Matchmaker Shader System Bundle, which should probably require all of them, does not.
OK, I think I figured this one out. The bundle includes the expansions so it doesn't have to list them as required.
The more I try to understand this Matchmaker product line, the more confused I become. I cannot figure out what is really included in any of the products.
Elor, was that a question?
Sorry, no, it's a report of possible bug (either the text or the way the sale is working): the text is about owning any Golden Ticket, when the sale itself requires having the three current Golden Tickets.
It is confusing; I've sent an inquiry.
That's what I thought you meant, so thanks for clarifying.
Hi mods, the Boarkrieg doesn't discount the debut new MB Julis bundle as per the promo page it should, see screenshot (same price as on page before adding Golden Ticket). Thanks!
Edit: Weirdly, it does discount the single items included in the bundle. But not the bundle itself, which is also in debut new.
This should need only one now.
Should work now.
Yes, I think it does, thank you!
It does, thank you :)
https://www.daz3d.com/kamal in Outlet should have https://www.daz3d.com/moroccan-dreams-for-michael-4 and https://www.daz3d.com/moroccan-dreams-for-victoria-4 listed as required products. It's buried in the text that it is a texture add-on.
Although both Daz+ new releases are in the cart, no discount is applied.
Try now.
will report
It works now, thank you!
This is not working: Get an extra 30% off when you own or buy any Golden Ticket Item
Or at least it isn't working if you own dForce Strand-Based FE Bubble Braids Hair for Genesis 9 as I do in combination with MB Julis HD for Genesis 9 Bundle.
I own that. I recreated the cart with the MB Julius and no GT in my cart and got the discount.
I came here to ask why the outfits and Genesis 9 Starter Essentials used to demostrate the MatchMakers Shader System Bundle are listed as a required items. I see that @barbult has noted the three products require the other two products in their 'Required Products' along with what I noted. Shaders as I understand do not require a specific generation, nor a specific product for usage, but are 'Any surface, Any object'.
Were these items supposed to be listed as products used in the promos?
From what I understand, MatchMakers Shader System Volume 1, the core product provide generic presets/shaders, sorted in seven collections, each collection including colours that should work well together.
Then, each extension will add presets tailored for one outfit, and these presets are built using the elements included inside the core product.
What's a bit strange is that each extension has all three outfits and each others as a requirement, when they should only have the core product and the outfit product as a requirement.
So, (still based on my understanding) https://www.daz3d.com/matchmakers-genesis-9-basicwear-texture-expansion should only have the following requirements:
https://www.daz3d.com/matchmakers-10-in-1-casual-wardrobe-texture-expansion should only have:
And finally, https://www.daz3d.com/matchmakers-flashback-suit-texture-expansion should only have:
And if possible, the promo render for an expansion should only focus on the product that expansion was made for because, as an example, seeing the flashback suit used on other expansions' renders add to the confusion.
We've contacted Daz as it appears they need to fix the requirements.
Thank you Cris.
Mary
The shader package alone has no other requirements. The bundle requires the contents of the bundle, the basic wear outfit which is included in the starter essential, the 10 in 1 casual wardrobe, and the flashback suit. Each texture expansion requires all the outfits and all the Matchmakers expansions and shader set because of the Outfit presets and HMAT outfit presets uses parts of the other sets. Each texture expansion can be used with just the shader set and the base outfit, but you will get texture calls if you use the premade HMAT outfit and materials presets. I know it is confusing. If you only want the expansions for the outfits you own, there is still value as I've made all new bump maps and materials settings.
Example: to use the Flashback suit expansion, you need the Flashback suit base clothing item, and the Matchmakers Shader set. There are lots of options. Buit the full outfit presets are not going to work.without the other base clothing items and the other expansions. That's why we made a bundle.
What I'm seeing on the store pages is correct.
Hi guys!
Just came to explain some things about the Matchmakers sets :) It's not a standard texture expansion, so I get it's a littel confusing!
The shaders are shaders, they will work on anything. They have no requirement except Iray for rendering
The outfit expansions need the shaders to work perfectly 100%, but you will still have all the custom fabric bases with stitching fro the outfit items, and the hmats will apply all the diffuse colors and so forth properly. Just not anything that needs the images from the shaders. So like 75%
So the fun part and where it gets weird .. in each Outfit expansion you get mixed up outfits wearbles that use all three sets. That is why the promos show the outfits with items from other sets - they are designed that way to give you as many options as possible. But .. every clothing item item has its own material preset that was saved out from the outfit hmats. What you can't see is under the hood I've added a whole bunch of adjustment morphs and layering morphs and at least one custom UV set to all three outfits so everything works nicely together.
so TLDR version
You can buy the Matchmmakers Base Shaders to use just the shaders
You can buy just 1 clothing expansion for the outfit you have ( and not the shaders) and get the morphs, and the base fabric textures (thats from 6 to 10 custom made textures per item with stitches and everything) and all the solifd color MAT presets. We made sure everything is still useable and woth it.
You could buy the Shaders + 1 outfit expansion and have all the shaders, the new adjustment morphs for the outfit, all the custom textures for each outfit item, and all the MAT presets for the outfit you have using solid colours and the shader images. The g9 basicwear comes with the figure, so you have that set already!
Or you can buy the whole bundle (now or part by part) and have all the shaders and new fabric bases for every outfit every item and all the outfit wearable preloads will be all ready to go, and each one with 7 hmats. and every single preset for every item.
The goal here is that we can add new outfit expansions month by month, everything will match and fit together with adjustment morphs, and you wont get stuck buying the same imagemaps over and over. This means smaller, lighter sets, faster for us to make, and more chanes for you to get a great expansion for an outfit you already might have. And its very flexible so you can customise everything just the way you like it.
This is a more modular way of looking at texture expansions, so I understand it's a little confusing. But honestly, when have I ever done anything the normal way?
Lyrra
Sorry about the confusion. There are presets for all of the outfits shown in the promos, which is why all the products require each other. The basic wear set does have presets for the Flashback suit in the outfits presets. If you don't want to use the outfits, or don't have the other items, there is still value in each expansion on it's own, but the extras won't work properly. Thanks for your feedback.
Thank you both for your explanations :)
Thank you all. If it makes you feel better, I bought the whole set without knowing this until I was printing off the promos and then I 'read' the titles and Required Products in a different light. That is when I came over here to apologise for my confusion. I am sorry for this.
