It seems to be disclosed already. This time the terms seem really clear . . .

miss a punch and the punch clock resets to zero

purchases of gift cards do not trigger a punch discount.

Memberships Gift Cards and Licenses will not be diiscounted by Holiday rewards. But . . . DAZ has been known to surprise us when we least expect it. Yeah! Christmas in July!

That definitely wasn't there this morning. Ah, well. I'll just be grateful for whatever comes up in the PA gifts (and maybe if a HoliDaz deal strikes my fancy) and call it good.

I didn't see the fine print yesterday, glad they clarified. Also I bought a $1.23 gift card yesterday and didn't get a punch, as confirmation!

I was analyzing the buy-ins for this sale to help with my budgeting.

    Monthly buy in:

    • $20 for Premier (no point in shopping big sales without Premier)

    Daily buy in:

    • $3 daily deals OR
    • $2 outlet store OR
    • $2 Random M4/V4 stuff (though maybe $0.50 less if it's in the current sale list of PAs)

Assuming a 3 week (21 day) sale, that makes the buy-in for this sale 21 x $2 + $20 = $62 in the best case, plus tax, unless using gift cards or only charging up the punch cards sometimes. $62 just to play. Also, the sale pricing / floor pricing will surely take into account that many people will have gc + tokens + punch cards + Premier.

I might sit this one out and consolidate my shopping for a later sale, since I currently have what I need for my projects! :/

I prefer DAZ + (am doing monthly because not sure I want to commit for a year and not into AI.) I like that I own what I buy if I quit DAZ+ go incognito offline. With premier you get what is premier exclusive providing you connect as a premier user online but if you quit premier it is gone . . . dollars flushed down the toilet. If I am mistaken please enlighten me.

There's additional tokens, (usually) higher discounts and the free character bundle. I haven't logged into Daz once since subscribing to Premier.

you don't lose stuff you buy when you leave Premier, only the extra items, like the apps inside Daz Studio and the addtinal characters or shapes you get.

well that was shortlived, second day I just bought something very cheap to keep the punches going

that will grow old very fast

not saying bad deals, just so absolutely nothing I badly want and I have a lot of inexpensive things on my wishlist and a fair few older things I want too

it actually has some very good deals for stuff I don't want that's popular

I'm still Premier.. I wanted Lyna add-on bundle and it's turned into todays poster item, so happy enough.

Still not a great selection of other discount items but enough to keep me happy.  Even Calum bundles are $13.51 with punches, debut and tokens.

Not really anything I can use as a Debut item but even Lyna add-on alone is $5.79 with or $9.65 without (cybotaur is then $7.64 which could be OK or Bed Pod is $4.99 but would never use that, maybe get the hair... dunno)

    Esha's generous freebie https://www.daz3d.com/eshas-dforce-utilities. Thank you @Esha.

Seems I can't get it working on G9 head - trying to change the simulation visibilty to "off" with a press of the button doesn't work. And marking the head and all of it's parts and then using the "hide selected item" (or so..) button also doesn't work. Using the "hide/show left/right hand" scripts work fine. So... anybody having a different experience with this product?

Probably because today's page has a pinkish background while it was greenish yesterday.

They're still showing active punches (gift with a checkmark on it), when you don't have an active punch for a day you see a number.

    I Love being Premier!!!

Yeah... if you ever opt out of Premier, some of the fun Premier-Only special characters go away. But all of the Really Cool stuff we get as Premier Members is ours to keep!

Better discounts across the board (I need that because I'm poor) and exciting benefits within Studio itself - mostly for me is the Geometry Sculptor, which I can no longer live without. I do have the full Mesh Grabber Bundle. Geometry Sculptor does a Whole Lot More - Sculpt, Smooth, Scale... just to name those, but also the Tool Setting pane has widgets to go between Sculptor and Editor, so we can dart between them for making more specific selections, etc., - something I do every single day, several times a day. I use this for many things - one major one is to help set up objects to work specifically with an animation. You see, changes I make - even if it's just grabbing a pole and rotating it, for example, can be made into a morph slider. I can then use that slider throughout the animation.

Hair simulation corrections, making stuff fall apart, etc.,

So there's the Geometry Sculptor in Studio Premier, and the plethora of great deals that makes me entirely addicted to my Premier Membership - so Rosie says that I'll never have to go without!

    Speaking of "Another Sale"

Last night as I started another animation render, I knew that I needed another purchase of $1 or more to add my second punch card for today.

I was actually casually browsing a bit throughout the day - one such page was going the the list of View All Artist deals.

Getting tired, I was just about to give up and just quickly grab something from the Outlet Store - I can always find fun stuff in there to add to my library.

Suddenly I came upon Sledge, by Sixus1

I've been animating like crazy over the past several years - constantly pouring my soul into all of this wonderous workflow -

forgotten all about these cool original figures by Sixus1 - Shame on Me!!! Well, time to start amending that.

I grabbed Sledge as my sale for the day, but I couldn't look at him in Studio until today.

Here's my First Impressions of this Magnificent Beastie!

You're right on being a Premier member. If you're buying here at DAZ its pretty much a necessity..  The discounting and free bundle, plus the included items in DAZ Studio is worth it.The tokens alone can save a lot of cash, especially on Monday and Tuesday.when you get double 2 tokens for every $5 spent.  I would much rather we have the capability as non=-members to at least buy the included items in Premier, but I understand the carrot thing.

I think Premier is just another sales tactic to get you to spend more overall. I don't need it either. I have another 14+ months of Daz+ already paid up from before the new Premier introduction. That's fine for me.
I'm surprised @daveso, who is always planning to quit, is now a Premier promoter. What happened there? Are you enthusiasticly shopping at Daz again? Nothing wrong with that, if it makes you happy!

I have bought several of your tuts but before I proceed to buy more, I need to know you are not shooting from the hip. Please share how you can verify your statement that if I join Premier I can opt out and retain the really cool stuff (other than Premier Characters) because it really does add to credibility of your statement.

i was dead against the pricing when DAZ redid the DAZ+ and introduce Premier. After having a couple months of Premier I now understand the usefulness of it. DAZ+ isn;t bad, but Premier is just that much better, but yeah, the cost is higher. I'm actually filling in empty spots in what I'm trying to do, but my old habits start to creep in and I spend too much

Ahh... I didn't understand the question the first time - gotcha!

    Here's what I meant:

Premier Mambers get special character add-ons that are completely exclusive to Premier members. Can't even buy them at all. Like Aiko 9 (FilaToon), for example.

When I first started Premier, I think that I did it on an off day or something, because my membership would lapse (cancel) and then start again upon PayPal payment. It was frustrating. And I can verify that those sorts of items cannot be used at all when not a Premier Member - not at all. They require an internet connection to show up in the library - even on things made using them.

I'm not a fan of using Connect. I don't really Not recommend it or anything like that, I just prefer to not work that way. I like my stuff to be tangible.

So - Those things and the extra benefits gained from having Studio Premier are the Only things that disappear when our Premier membership lapses. Everything else is "Purchased" via coupons - hence, ours to keep regardless.

I hope that clears it up. It is an expense, but I never go out on the town (anymore), never play pool (anymore)... so Rosie just let's me have this one thing.

I was premier for two months from the end of Nov. 2024 to the end of Jan. 2025, and kept everything I got with the membership except of course the Premier only plugins and the Premier only characters (which I never even downloaded because I do not want to use something that would disappear since I didn't plan on keeping it active). Indeed, I got to keep the three free character bundles I got, and the monthly/weekly freebies. Of course I also got to keep everything I bought with the additional discounts, which were rather substantial since I had it during the Christmas sale.

I was not Premier again until three days ago, to participate in this sale (will probably drop it after a month). It really is a good deal if you buy alot. I found that not being a member (DAZ+ or Premier) REALLY reduced my spending, which is OK because Premier encouraged me to get more stuff than I could/would use. I'm being more selective now,the discounts are often quite hard to pass on.

    Daz +

I Love Daz +!!! I was a very happy + member when Premier came out, so I doubted that I'd opt in. But here's the thing for me:

I had contacted ManFriday a few months before and asked if he could/would create another addon for Mesh Grabber - "Scale".

There were many times when I was using Mesh Grabber when I wished that I could just select a bunch of polygons and use Scale instead of Translate or Rotate. He said that he'd thought of that before, but was deep into the middle of another project or something. Then came back and said that it was under development.

Some time after, it turns out that the upgraded version is now part of Premier - Geometry Sculptor.

I wasn't entirely sure if that tool alone would be worth the Premier Membership for me, but the rest of the benefits are pretty cool, so I wanted to at least take up Daz 3D's offer when they said they'd give me a month of Premier for my remaining two months of + or something like that. I opted in.

Okay... this tool is invaluable to me, as described above.

As I tell my non-Premier friends - Mesh Grabber ROCKS! I'm not trying to "Sell you on Premier"

I just get excited about "How it works for Me"

And as Daveso says - I love the tokens! They last a  l o n g  time and work well!

Downside: PA Coupon : Instead of getting $6 off of a $15 purchase, I have to cough up at least $15 to get $10 off a purchase of $25, which I cannot always partake in.

Downside: Character Bundle are new Premium Daz 3D characters only - meaning that they're all (and Only) Genesis 9. I'm not using Genesis 9. I still see it as an upside, however. When I do finally get around to using 9, I'll be in great shape! Some folks say that they don't like the choice and decide not to get anything for that month. That's just plain silly! These character bundles (some - not all are the same) come with expressions that are invaluable to Any character, hair and/or clothing, etc., When it comes to character design, it's lovely having a plethora of choices - not just the stuff that's immediately appealing.

Still, I can't help but wish that we could opt for another generation.

Upside: Daz Originals coupon is $10! That opens it up so that I can Always find something cool for free for the month if I have to!

Still, I can't help but wish that we could opt for another generation.

Upside: Daz Originals coupon is $10! That opens it up so that I can Always find something cool for free for the month if I have to!

    Thank you for a clear explanation. I am tempted . . .

Well, I'd never wish to steer someone wrong. We definitely have to weigh our needs and habits.

I am animating, simulating and rendering multiple times Every Day. So just that one tool alone is really a benefit for me (Geometry Sculptor). However, if I didn't have it, I'd be using Mesh Grabber instead - simple as that.

But when we add my own personal "Need to Shop at Daz 3D", the benefits add up even more. I am on a very fixed and limited income, so it was really a tough call. But I really do like to shop here a LOT. The savings are definitely worth the added membership for "Me" - that's for sure.

I have this thing where I don't always wait for something to go on sale. For one, I really need the item in question. Second, I'm a huge fan of the artists that make the stuff! So even though I'm poor, I still like to "Thank" the artists if I can, when I can. I haven't checked the differences between Daz + and Premier lately, but it Feels like the tokens actually stick around longer. And it seems like they add up faster. So when Josh Darling and DimensionTheory (both friends of mine) released that cool new Animated VDB Bundle, I just hopped on it and bought it. I knew it was well worth it - and that instinct was spot-on - and I got to pay my friends a little something for their toils... win Win WIN in my opinion. I just had to go for a while after without buying. So instead I loaded up animated VDBs and rendered VFX Stock Footage for myself instead of shopping! LOL

I did LOVE being Daz + and was totally content with it!

Without either Daz + or Premier, however, I have a tough time. I let PC+ lapse once. Oh My!!! Quite a difference! I almost couldn't buy anything ever!

Premier members do get twice as much tokens as Daz+, which is, IMO, the most dangerous thing for someone's wallet because it's easy to have 8 tokens as Premier and to keep them rolling.

Tokens are valid for 14 days since Premier was released but there is no benefit for Premier here compared to the other membership tiers.

I love both, Premier and DAZ+...

...when there's a sale going on that gives me enough % off that benefits from it. All the other time, most of the "benefits" aren't worth it for me. If one is in the "spend less than $ 50.- a month" area here in DAZland and doesn't work with G9 the incentive to get either is neglectenable, with most sales asking for a G9 product as buy-in.

I had Premier twice already for a month and both times had managed to get the best out of it. And I've been DAZ+ since the 20th of June and today managed to use the the second "$ 6.- off a $ 18.- cart" coupon unexpectedly, with only having to spend $ 3.99 for a product I probably never ever will use, but dropping the price for five other products that I might use enough to make it worth it.

I never managed to gather enough tokens to make them a point to influence my shopping habits.

I'm obviously not the type of customer that DAZ targets with their marketing programs. But it's nice to see that it seems to work for so many of You wink

Re: the Premier discussion that Dartanbeck started: I thought it was a really unfriendly thing to do when DAZ locked the Geometry Sculptor behind the Premier paywall, knowing full well how much anticipated that tool had been for months in the forums. I still think so in fact, and for this reason alone, I will not buy into Premier, come hell or high water. I would of course be fine with buying the Sculptor on its own, but DAZ never gave us the chance.
