To make the thread a little more positive, "build your own flashsale" a couple of days ago was the highlight of the PA sale for me. Until then, I was kind of shopping, not even picking all of the Golden Tickets (though I did buy two new releases which I rarely do, so there's that). First of all, there was no floor pricing which meant I got some items under $2, and even with the two buy ins (new release and golden ticket), and with 7 tokens which were close to expiring, and on Daz+ coupon, all the items in my cart were on average under $3. This might not sound like a great deal compared to some, but I wasn't looking specifically for already discounted items. I focused on the items that I rarely see on sale, especially with discounts that high. So, I'm now finally an owner of the Void Lurker that has been on my wishlist for ages (and the cheapest I saw it was in fast grab for straight 70% off back when fast grab was still a thing), two outfits and hair from the Princess Petra's series, two CynderBlue G9 character/outfit bundles, and a few more items.

I wasn't planning to spend too much, so I limited myself to under $50 (especially with the sales tax adding up), but I could have easily build a $300 cart. My only regret is not biting the bullet and getting a giftcard the day before. I was thinking I wasn't spending that much, so no point. And then, BAM! Build your own flash sale came.

My bank account will weep sad tears if it happens, but I'm still hoping we're going to get another offer like that in this sale.

Edit: Oooh! And drops generator! I was really excited to see the price in cart for under $2.

I've been very happy with most of the Golden Ticket items. With a few exceptions, most of the sale is working well for me.

For those who like me didn't get the usual orange banner on the website for extra 30% discount, it was there for me in DIM.

Unfortunately that is not helpful for those who currently don't have access to their daz computer because of things like travel and moving.

Just because it's not helpful to some doesn't mean it isn't helpful to others.

And, to be honest, the phrasing makes me think that instead of being partially helpful next time, I'll just stay silent. Well done.

My apologies, but you completely misunderstood my intent. I was not criticizing you or your attempt to help. I appreciate that. I was attempting to point out that Daz putting the code on Dim is not helpful for shoppers who don't have access to a PC with Dim on it with some examples being travel and moving as both currently apply to me. No access to the coupon means I can count the day as a day off from potential purchases. I was in a rush and had to take care of some stuff, and apologize my comment was lacking the necessary extra information for those who can't read my mind. Lol

Thanks, I had assumed that it was just that foe once I didn't qualify. We will let Daz know, but it is probably safe to post the code if you are willing - I don't think it will do anything for those who don't qualify (though having to test it to see may, after yesterday's debacle, be a bit much).

My first thought was surprise, because while I don't buy from some PAs ever, it would be quite a coincidence to not qualify, but as you, I thought that it happened. I only noticed the code in DIM (and tested it on myself), because I had yesterday's purchases to install.

Here's the code: TASTEFUL-30 (Richard, if for any reasons it turns out not okay to post it after all, just remove it.)

Thankyou for posting the code. Daz might get a sale from me today after all. I really am a nice, not whiny, not troll, kind of person. If something seems off on a response from me, it is likely just bad wording or autocorrect. The only time I get snippy in here, is when it's at Daz for repeating a stupid thing like not giving the important information so folks know how a sale works. And in those cases it is meant to be at Daz for not learning to stop repeating some of the easily avoidable issues, like just telling folks what items qualify and use a new page with new link for sale pages so folks don't go through multiple browsers trying to see changes made to a previous page because of bad caching issues. Thanks for the post again.

Well,my wishlist doesn't even have me wishing anymore. I only have 67 items and most of those I have no further interest in. I was going to renew premium but so far nothing gave me the need. I can still get 80% off for quite a few things, but most of the new releases so far I don't need nor want.

....yeah as I mentioned ealier I feel the same, particularly after the Wishlist Freebie matter (which I never was able to resolve and thus gave up on).    As I found out later it was older items (pre 2022) that I likely either already have or passed on.  I just feel they could have been a bit clearer on the details (even like say in fine print) which seems to be an issue lately with sales and offers in general.

The fact that most Golden Ticket items are G9 characters or related has pur damper on the sale as well.

They also need to change the wording about Golden Ticket items as it says "Owners of 'any' Golden Ticket get: An extra 30% off Debut, Sitll New, releases, and Featured Artist Stores".  However it really means only the recent ones still shown on the main sale page as I have a couple GT items I previously pruchased but no longer get the extra discount for.

    any /ˈenē/
    determiner
    1. used to refer to one or some of a thing or number of things, no matter how much or how many.

    (Soruce:  Oxford Dictionary).

It is any Golden Ticket items. The others may have been Golden Ticket items, but they are not now.

Actually I have to defend DAZ on this.

Each day there's three Golden Ticket Items (exception: when there might be more). Each day one (exception: or more) will be added and one (exception: or more), the four old "old" one(s), get(s) removed and loses the "Golden Ticket Item" designation and the price reduction. So obviously it isn't a Golden Ticket Item any longer. There are still three of those items (exception: or more) and buying or owning ANY OF THESE gives the extra discount.

So, basically, the wording is absolutely correct, even though it might not look so at first glance. wink

I won't fault Daz on this one, but I did have the same thinking myself initially. I think including the word "current" to golden ticket would help to differentiate between previous golden tickets that dont count anymore and current golden tickets that do.

Thanks for mentioning. Today is errand-and-housework day, so not usually a day I have a lot of time to play with Daz and sales, but I was puzzled about the orange banner not being present. I came here specifically to check to see if anyone else who usually sees it also was not seeing it.

...so just the ones on the sale page have the designation. .Got it.

Maybe change the phrasing to something like "Any [current], or [active)] Golden Ticket item below".  That would eliminate any confusion.

Yes! A Best of Sale (so far) conversation here. So far for me that was Week 1/end of August when I got Bishop 9 Golden Ticket, which let me use my Aug. bundle code on Norba 9 bundle. Plus some other goodies. This weekend is probably Runner Up, between the free items Friday & the small cart I am doing now. I also am having to strictly limit hobby spending right now.

    ^^ This.

Whether or not anyone wants to argue that "well, technically..." -- the reality is, it isn't obvious to everyone, as evidenced by the questions and confusion that keep happening during /every single sale/ that has a GT-style deal. And this would be a really easy change that would reduce questions and frustration. So why not just... do that?

Oh yes, the first week of the sale/last week of August was nice too! I also got Bishop 9 as a ticket. This weekend isn't as good for me, but it's hard to beat the build your own flash sale offer from Wednesday, at least from my perspective. I got too much of the good stuff. I don't expect anything special tomorrow, but maybe the Golden Ticket will be something I like. Then, on Monday, there's going to be a Quick Grab changeover, so I might feel tempted to spend again even though, like you, I'm somewhat limiting my hobby spending.

That BYO sale definitely would've been my highlight, too, if I'd had the wherewithal to do it earlier in the day and hadn't run afoul of changeover. So my 'best of' was Labor Day, followed a couple days later by a tidy haul that netted me my beloved herb pots (and other things). And it was nice to have a decent giftcard sale. At the moment I'm leaning towards a "know when to fold 'em" attitude, so unless something else as good as the BYO comes along, I'll pick up one or two more priority items if they hit (and of course check out the QG weeklies), and that might be it.

S'okay, though. I have lots of new toys to play with. :)

Knowing such a thing happened, I'll probably be waiting for such a thing to happen again for the rest of this sale! (I doubt it will recur, so will probably bank my credit, but ynever know.) There are generally enough stacking discounts to always hit minimum prices on the stuff I'm shopping for, so it's easy to wait until another time.

Today's sale says XTRART-3D is a headlining artist, but their products do not get the discount, even though I have a Golden Ticket in my cart.

  • kyoto kidkyoto kid Posts: 41,837

...yeah, I ran into that with another artist a few days ago. I waited until the next morning just in case it was a store update issue like often happens shortly after the new sale day begins (I'm on the west coast so "zero hour" is 23:00). However the next morning, it still wasn't added (and it's been in the store since the beginning of May)..

If someone could check Dim and report back if there is a 30% discount code, and what it is for those who qualify, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not being lazy, I don't have access to a PC right now. Thank

...hmm, including discontinued products (and ones that are now DOs), I have 128 Stonemason items. That is the largest collection of products by any single PA in my content library/runtime.

Flash sale on the rotating banner on the main store page. I suppose it's for Fabiana fans mostly.

Other than that, yay, we got the orange banner finally!

...I was wondering why some items on my wishlist have a 40% discount, but are not included in the Featured Artist store or Headlining Artist sales.  It turns our they are part of the Catch-up "Still New" sale.

Only one in that sale that is on my wishlist actually has the green "New" tag, the rest don't, four of which I was hoping to see in the Featurd Artists category..  All were all released well lafter the 60 day "new" period the most reent being just over 4 months ago (May 10th).

At least the Golden Ticket works on these, but not the banner coupon.  Need to think about this for a bit as it will pretty much mean using at least one if not both my Daz+ coupons along with 5 tokens to make what I buy as affordable s possible.  If so it will likely end my Daz shopping for the rest of the month.
