I forgot about the $1 gc, but not that concerned for a miserly 5% discount.
Conditions are simply less favorable for me at this time. That's how it goes sometimes.
Sadly happens to us all at one point or another. I recall a few times where I wasn't thrilled with anything new in the store for days on end. Different strokes for different folks, someone's interested in the items on offer,
Yeah happens to me, too. Personally, I'm okay with days where the new releases not interesting me so much, as I am trying to reduce my spending overall. The one exception is on Thursday. As long as a bundle is released that's at least moderately interesting, I'm satisfied. Doesn't even need to be a character bundle, but I really like those. For this week I'm not expecting a new character bundle because we received one two weeks in a row.
Nobody is talking about the dog, so I'll talk about the dog: I like Rottweiler for Daz Dog 8. Looks realistic to me. That's it. That's the message.
I didn't even know there was a dog. I went back and looked, The thumbnail has so little contrast in the head area, I couldn't instantly see it was a dog, and a lot of the thumbnail was covered by the %OFF and NEW stickers. It didn't catch my attention at all, when I scrolled through the new releases.
Days? Make that months for me..
That dog looks weirdly photoscanned to me. Vyusur's rottie for dog nubis looks way more realistic and it has fur.

True, I see that. But the other one's fur still looks better to me. It's fuller and softer looking. Just my opinion.
Rottweiler went in WL. Even doggos must wait for payday. I like it. We've never owned one, but the 2 we've met (belonged to different friends) were good dogs. Husband & I called both of them "spoiled rotten-weilers" because it fit.
Yeah, I missed this one too because of the thumbnail. It's too dark and the pooch blends into the background.

are the base prices continually going up or am I imagining it? The new releases are really high and seem to be getting higher all the time.
They sure are. Not too interesting as well. I haven't bought a new release in months.
This month, the only things I've bought have been Lightning Deals, except for one Door Prize; I already own over 2500 of those listed, so think I have all of those I want...
I finally made a purchase yesterday before my 5 tokens ran out and got the max of seven $2.99 items allowed as a Daz+ member and was planning to get more today (NOT the old Daz Original "Door prizes" but the newer PA products) and now those are removed. I guess I have to let my gold star go to waste as there's no incentive to buy anything today even with the usual double token Tuesday which happens without MM. I really don't see how this March "Madness" sale is any better than regular daily sales, it's actually a lot worse.
I'm pretty sure the prices are higher. I like many of the new releases from yesterday, but they're a bit pricey for me. They're not much of an incentive for me to buy other things; I'll wait until they go on sale in the fall.

I'm fine with nudity and non-pornographic sexual content in promos but not so fine with images of women tied up or constrained... I think this goes into borderline violence. Am I wrong?
Well, she looks happy enough, so I wouldn't say it's depicting violence. But it sure shows a - to me - uncomfortably high level of objectification and sexualization of women. This is becoming more and more the norm around here, unfortunately.
It's hard to tell exactly how old or how happy a 3D character is but this looks like the dead expression of someone who has been abused to me.
It's pretty much subjective. Your interpretation is different from mine. What's the point?
Historically, the Daz site has frowned on nudity and especially what might be considered adult images. That has verged to the ridiculous sometimes, with prohibitions on showing bare shoulders for teenage characters, Now here we are having some soft bdsm-style imagery featuring a healthy young woman with far more on display. It marks a profound change in attitude here on these things. And, of course, that has not extended to the forum because there are no content filters for the forum.

She has a vacant expression, maybe intentional. One of those things I'm sure many wouldn't notice, too. On a higher note, she would definitely never drown due to 24 hour access to flotation devices. HH went all-out with the morphs for that one.
And I also don't like the excessive sexualization either, especially in this context.
