...I already have a Prime membership for expedited shipping to my apartment door without an extra fee. The video service is marginal as I don't have a  television so I get buffering pauses.

The last time I tried one of those "introductory streaming offers" was the NFL network (yeah I'm a sports ball fan). The first Sunday after i signed up I was so excited, but the games I chose to "watch" were only a radio feed not video despite what was mentioned in the promo. I immediately cancelled it. As II don't live in a  city that has a team it wasn't because of a "blackout " rule.

    Fortunately it was only 4.99.

I originally started shopping online because I couldn’t get my brother to drive me to a store. Then I found out about Amazon, which at the time had lower prices than drugstore.com which had all the freaky moisturizing products I was ordering. Then I found out Amazon had freaky outfits and compact discs too. I ultimately ended up signing up for Amazon Prime because of the free shipping since the Prime service costed less than the shipping cost of everything I was ordering. The addition of television shows and music seemed like a great bonus. Then the introduction of advertisements seemed like betrayal.

I'm having issues with IMessage and a set of texts I sent my mum.  I sent them with my iPad, but I'm not seeing them on my iPhone.  I contacted Apple before work.  I was not able to finish troubleshooting with them as I needed to clock in

Complaint? Compliment? Depends on how you see things, I guess!

    Happy June 1rst!

I did a delivery order from Walmart.  I got everything I ordered, but got two extra items. This box of macaroni and cheese that I didn't order with an extra piece of cloth.

    What should I do?

edit: I guess it was a replacement for a different Mac and cheese item.

Non-complaint:  Weather has been comfortable for many days.  No jacket required, rain short and in moderation, wind light.

Complaint:  Tomorrow and Wednesday are predicted to be in the 80's(F)frown  Will probably have to use the a/c for the first time this year.  I've been getting by with an exhaust fan pulling air from an upstairs window and forcing it out a downstairs window.  Keeps the upstairs tolerable.enlightened  Also, I've noticed that when I forcibly exhaust air but keep my upstairs window closed it pulls air through the shared air ducts from the neighbor's air-conditioned half of the house.devil

complaint: The AQI is really bad right now from wildfires. I hate this for so many reasons, but right now the most pressing one is that little dude is incapable of grasping the concept.

Can't go for a walk because it's dark? Raining? Too cold? Snow is too deep to get the stroller through? Unfortunate, but demonstrably legit.

Can't go because the air's not good to breathe?

...now I'm just making stuff up.

Thanks for the reminder of wildfires and the long distance it affects the AQI.

Yeah, we're getting stuff from Canada, but there are more local-ish ones in as well. It's bad enough here that it's hazy looking down the street.

I'm in the UK, and bad as the UK is getting lately, I believe the law in general surrounding photography in public, is that you have the right to photograph anyone and anything that you wish, providing you're located in a public space when taking the photograph.  However, I beleive in order to take a photograph while being located on private property, the owner of the property has the law on their side in preventing you from doing so, should they wish to do that.

Wow! I did not know that. The UK is so cool! That's how it should be everywhere.

I keep seeing ads for Daz on my mobile devices. I rather use my DS 4.5+ or DS 5.

It's amazing how poor the targetting of 'targetted' ads can be. Quite a number of times e-bay has tried to sell me a metalworking lathe, but only started doing so after I had bought one. How many does one person need? I have two already... Surely a better use of their effort would be to sell me a mill or shaper (sorry, got one) or forge or metal bandsaw (sorry, got one) or drill press (sorry, got one). Basically things that are in a similar field but they haven't already sold me.

    Regards,

    Richard

According to Lawyers.com (https://legal-info.lawyers.com/personal-injury/types-of-personal-injury-claims/child-photography-or-videotaping-consent-laws-are-changing.html) it is, generally speaking.

However, if one is wanting to take a picture of a child specifically (as opposed to just a group shot where children are) it would be courteous to ask the attendant adult, even if it's not required by law. (And if it's a really nice shot, might be kind to offer to send them a copy! I have a few taken at reenactment events by random patrons that are my absolute favorites.)

I agree (and nice to see some enthusiasm about the UK), but "cool" is not a word I would use to describe the UK at this precise moment in time - lol
I'd post a meme, but I'm being extra cautious this week!

Personally I'd consider 'cool' to be a good description of the UK at the moment, at least the area I'm in.

    Phwee.

Living in Kent, I'm in an office and I've had to have the window open att the time I'm at work since about mid May. And it's currently the case - I'm stewing. And as all this morning's rain has dried up, the humidity is very high.

    Regards,

    Richard

I'm at my day program.  I was in their computer lab, but one of the clients came into there to talk.  It appears that what he said sounded like conspiracy theories.

He said that piranhas are dangerous to people.  That isn't exactly true. Just fact checked it.  The piranha and cow theory is extremely exaggerated.  They are fish which tend to go into feeding frenzies.  If the conditions are wrong, they can attack humans or cows.  That is more to do with the fact they are hungry and prey is low such as in dry season.

He also claimed that a hacker put a pg-13 nudity picture onto his phone.  He says that he gets a lot of hackers attempting to hack his phone.  He mentioned VPN as a way to protect himself from alleged hackers.

The stuff that was mentioned in the last paragraph was full of things easily disproven by simple internet searches.  I doubt he is that important to be on a hacker's radar.  Also why put pictures on a cheap android phone?  I think he is a tad too paranoid.  Or maybe he is majorly paranoid?

I'm in the east and although its a bit humid there's a breeze and drizzly rain, also I'm not in an office nor in a city or town.

There might be a chance I can get an iPhone 15 instead of trying to see if I can finance an iPhone 15 or 16.

Ooh, Excitement:  And again the State boys come to my rescue with some entertainment.   A line of trucks and weird looking self-propelled machinery and a squad of men on foot with shovels & rakes & brushes and warning signs passed slowly by my house adding a new layer of asphalt to the State road.  I grabbed my popcorn and stood on the porch watching.  But, the excitement is too much, I need a nap.cool
