That is nicely done.
Thank you all.
I particularly like using Studio as a virtual photo studio. I did some quick and dirty renders of LY Davin in her intro thread to show folks the elements in the bundle. Since I have a bit of a crush on Lyoness, here's a finished render of Davin in the Studio. Please note that the texures and shaders are as they come with the product. No tweaking by me. Vega Hewn hair by Goldtassel. As almost always. lights from Khory's Scintillant Portrait Lights. Probably have to add Khory and Goldtassel to the "crush" list as well.
I finally broke down and bought GenX2 and the Genesis 2 add-on when they was on sale a while back. I kept seeing all these neat things Will was doing and wanted that functionality, too. I've converted a couple of generation 4 characters but didn't do anything with them yet. Until this past week when I picked up the Girl 4 Pro bundle. I converted her to G1, G2F and G3F. Then I ended up using the G2F version in my latest render...
Golden Girl
I tried a number of sets as a backdrop until finally settling on The Ballroom. As an older, pre-Iray set, it presented a few challenges. The pictures and frames on the walls, for example, didn't look bad head on, but the one on the left was too angled and you could tell it was flat. Creating and using bump and normal maps didn't solve the problem, so I recreated the wallpaper and spot rendered the two sections to remove the "pictures." It was an improvement behind The Girl as well, without the busy-ness the ornate gold frame provided behind her. I had to replace the floor as DS stretched the image too much for the size of the render. This wood parquet is my own texture, created from a purchased stock image. The scene is lit almost exclusively with emissive lights. There are five sconces with three bulbs each, and I added three chandeliers from Winterblack Halls. The one exception is a spotlight with Light Geometry set to disc, and both Height and Width set to 15. The dress and shoes use fabric shaders from ParrotDolphin with a gold metallic overlay. Without the spotlight, the dress and shoes looked more brown then gold, with very little reflection showing up.
Anyway, I'm really liking GenX2. Thank you, Will, for "convincing" me I just had to have it!

A little fried from wrangling the kids, wanted to render something but idea well was a little low. So asked friends... 'French Toad Mobster in Prison!'
And thus...

Thank you very much :) I guess I like making squirrel renders like some people do cats.. :)
Rafmer, FSMCDesigns, Mattymanx, thank you very much for your kind appreciations . Looks like I'm on the right track since that image was able to draw that Wow!
Will post some more as soon as they are ready and to my liking...Looks like our dear DazStudio has become quite capable in producing decent and realistic renders, although to be honest, that image took A LOT of tweaks and test renders to reach that stage.(I like to tweak!
)
Anyway, glad you like it. I enjoyed making it.
Awww she is cute :)
