Thanks so much Jack!!!
Looks good first Iray render Saphire. Good job on the custom textures, too.
Well, here's my first complete, let it run until finished human Iray render (yes, I finally have 64 bit Studio running in Linux/WINE...).
And here's another version...worked some on the eyes and changed out the hair color/lights.
Thanks Knitting!!!
Wow great job MJC!!! Loving the hair on her!!!
...pretty nice job all around.
Oh, that's nice, mjc!
...a real cutie.
Did you use the Growing up Morphs?
ETA: You got 4.8 64 bit running under Wine? Last I saw. it wasn't rated as being very compatible with Wine. Is it pretty stable?
@kyoto kid Thanks so much!!!
Yep...Growing Up and a custom face sculpt. The face just wasn't 'right' without Growing Up.
I made these a couple of days ago in Blender, and was super excited to offer them as a freebie maybe, but then I saw that there was an almost identical product in the store.
Ah well, perhaps I was thinking too loudly about cooking pots. I still like 'em though. Slightly tweaked defaut metal shaders on these.
I wouldn't not offer them as a freebie just because someone already did some. Variety is a good thing. And you did a lovely job with these and should proudly show them off.
...as long as there is a .obj version I wouldn't mind.
I have the Growing Up Morphs for Genesis through G3. They have come in very handy for me. As I don't have ZBrush, I have to rely on commercial morphs and DFormers, but I still feel I do pretty good. Crikey I turned V4 into an 8 year old without creating any custom morphs to do so.
More shader experiments.
Fun using shaders http://fav.me/da0dghj
One of the cool things about the shaders I have/working on, is that in many case you can get other shaders/surfaces and simply copy/paste. In this case, I copy/pasted one of Mec4D's vol 2 shaders and then replaced maps with noise generation. Got... fairly close, though I ended up using sphere + geoshell instead of a single shader like Mec4D does.
I also discovered that my shader base is missing metallic flakes, which means I have to reimport and pretty much redo all the stuff. ARGH. (But I can copy/paste bricks and I've worked out most of the issues, so it's not the same as 'start from scratch')
...I used to work with patchbay synths, so I would think working with the shader mixer should come easy. Sadly patching sound elements doesn't translate all that well to doing so with shaders.
Thank you. :) Maybe I will put them up, I'll just wait awhile.
If I do share them I'll make sure to include the objs just for you ;)
..thank you.
Just can't seem to get my head around Blender's setup and UI. Tried to on multiple occasions (even got a guidebook) and still couldn't get very far with it. Wondering if my dyslexia and short term memory issues are playing a role in this.
Here is a render I did from a series of "fantasy kids". It reminds me of Take your kid to work day, LoL!
My second render with Daz Studio IRay I made a vase in Shape Magic and added the glass IRay shader and poof a beautiful glass vase I think it turned out great.
Another WTP2 test. Debating actually selling this one. Hrm.
One of my disappointments with the first set is that I suspect the fact they were free had most people overlooking them, which is a shame because they are capable of doing a LOT of amazing things. There are at least 2 or 3 products I've seen in the store that, IMHO, could be done as well or better by my free stuff.
This image uses a geoshell with the WTP2 shader on it. There is Cutout noise (which shows the zombie skin underneath), Bump noise (which gives the transition a visible 'edge'), and Translucency Color noise (which creates a 'livid edge' to the skin patches)
Really, really nice!
Great stuff, Saphire!
That's really beautiful! What's Shape Magic?
It is a free program that one of the forum members RGcincy wrote. Just type in ShapeMagic in a browser and add the dot com and you'll get there.
...indeed.
That hair is fantastic.
Thank you! It took a little trial and error, but I really liked how it turned out.
It looks like a great program, but you need to own a program called Hyperstudio Player - which is $50. Is there no way to get Shape Magic to work without using Hyperstudio?
