Not as far as I know. It would be a fairly easy mistake to clear up, if we had simply misunderstanding. It would be nice to know etither way.
Yeah, the chest for Genesis 2 Male has gotten a lot of flak. May be the wait will be worth it and the Genesis 3 Male will be much better in these critical areas.

I would be nice if DAZ just went ahead and released, along with M7, all the body shape morphs to catch him up with V7's line up. I know they are on this bent to release a new shape as an entire package with all the main DAZ artists contributing, which is cool but as many have stated, it's getting old fast. With all of us on budgets none of us can keep throwing money at this, so then it's about the pick and choose thing, which shapes, which clothing, which props....
On a side note I like AM's release with all the outback stuff but no bundle? His name is on all of the products so why not a bundled price option? Be nice to see all four products together.
Two of the outback items are together. The tree pack is included in the other landscape set. It would have been nice to see a bundle with the natives included (who apparantly come with what clothing they are shown with). I wouldn't expect to see the koalas bundled with anything but other animals.
Back to the topic: they usually do release at least the main pack of head and body morphs along with the flagship Character (since the base figure itself is already in your downloads) even if they aren't a part of the Character bundle. I gather that with G3's facial rig the base expression pack is no longer so likely.
It's all the 3rd party stuff that will be playing catch-up. And I'm not sure that the 3rd-party crowd even has the figure in their runtimes to be developing *for* yet.
It's more than just wanting a male counterpart to V7 and her gang of girls. D3D has already told us that an update to GenX isn't going to come outbefore both figures are available. And there are probably other vendor add-ons similarly stalled.
I am sure a number of the 3rd party developers have had G3M and M7 for some time, otherwise they could not develop any content for him for his release. Naturally they are bound by NDA, so will not say anything here or elsewhere about him.
On that subject, one thing that surprised me about G3F was how quickly G3F content appeared on non-DAZ stores (well rendo at least), and I don't think it was all from people who are also PA's here, and so would be expected to have got G3F in advance. I think in some cases it was within a single day of G3F's release. Quite impressive to have developed a product for a new model within 24 hours, including getting it through the store's QA processes. I wonder if we will see the same speed of take up for G3M on non-DAZ market places.
I've noticed that the stuff over at RDNA and Renderosity is really piling up for G3F, it's actually amazing to me. Everything from poses to clothing to skins. There is a new black skin over at 'Rosity that is a nice dark chocolate color. I'm tempted but the makeups not caring for those too much so it's a bit of a CONUNDRUM! lol
Would'nt it be a real titter if, after all the silence from 'on high' ignoring everyone's plea's for "even a hint at when HE will appear".
Then every one decided to show displeasure,... and NOT buy any G3m when he is finally released!

And Renderotica as well. Last time I checked, all product thumbs were for Genesis 3 Female products (maybe for G2F as well, but definitelly pushed by G3F). Something unthinkable (is that a word?) before G3F in that place.

I think we are all excited on level or another for a new figure, esp one that bends and morphs as well as this new generation does. For it to take my Genesis 1 morphs and to pose perfectly with them without any of the JCM's I made kind of impressed me ALLOT! lol

G3M will be here sometime between now and the thity-second of February. Fifty threads asking about it isn't going to get the answers here any faster.
It's been my experience that hounding people for things you want is more likely to either delay that thing arriving, or make it not happen at all. As for your other thread, it was not deleted, but merged into the thread about M7 taking a long time.
I wonder if they realized how stretched out some of the maps are when applying their custom morph. I'd have exported V7 with the custom morph and then done the maps to make sure it was really tight!
We got the next male last night it was the Aboriginal i'm betting. I don't think they said another UV character, just another release for G2M
Aboriginal is a PA product, not a Daz Original, and DAZ_Steve did seem to be pretty clearly talking about Daz releases.
There have been three male characters released since his comments, all PA characters: Animated Shape Captain Commando, FW Alfred G2M and Aboriginal.
Either DAZ_Steve meant the three guys that came with Scott's bundle, or else there's another guy due to come out. If we don't see another Daz-O guy before G3M comes out, then we'll know which one he meant.

You raise a valid point; everyone will have a diferent iterpretation of 'soon'; however, those more famiair with Daz's definition have probably been unreasonably optomistic.
