    Eh, I'm sure we'll see M7 soon.

After the umptheenth release of generic bra/panties with a slight variation in the lace trim each, uncomfortable looking short shorts that are the equivalent to a mega wedgie on a woman, vaguely sexist/fetishy skimp gear, and incredibly impractical high heels that would kill a woman via falling down if she even went down a single stair, that is. XP

I hear you for damn sure on the heals; I'd have likely got http://www.daz3d.com/lady-darkness-for-genesis-3-female-s if I didn't have to go through fixing the heals.. The option might have swung it.

Skimp-wear might make me smile but it is at least 'not believable'; I've just got back from shopping in John Lewis's; must have been close to a 100 pairs of feet I looked at - yeh I know - and I counted 2 stilletoe style, and 3 heels; the rest were flat and even about six were seriously flat. As in flatter than trainers.

    I know it's a style; I know it's a fantasy: it just isn't mine.

    Your soon, or Daz soon?

Hope is good; but is best based on something, so I doubt it; we know Arabella 7 is next, so while it is possible they could be released together, I've no idea if that is the sort of thing Daz does.

It is indeed what they do, in fact they normally release a female at the same time as a male these days, assumably to make up for the "poor" sales of the male figure. Scott was released on his own, but a female release had been a week or so before, and on Scott's release date about half the additional items released with him were actually for females. Other than Scott, the last male human released on his own (ie not counting Minotaur or the Lizard) was Lee 6, and that was more than a year ago.

    Pretty depressing isnt it.

Darius, (although not released on his own) out of the realistic males, was after Lee... A quick check on date and that was 26th Feb, so even in a duo release with Monique, that again is another sad thought. I cant say Genesis 3 has really taken off for me, but for the sake of variety, I hope G3M is well worth the wait.

    Clothing can't be sexist. cheeky

But I would argue said clothing is more sexist against men...it either doesn't fit. Isn't flattering at all, or hurts a ton. wink

they either have the same hairstyle too, or one od them is bald.

LOL. This made me crack up. HAH! Or maybe they both can go raid M4's wardrobe for some stylish 90's wear.

There have been 3 human male releases in combination with females after Lee 6. Brodie/Belle, Darius/Monique and Cory/Callie

I dont know if I would put Brodie and Cory into the human department though : )

One is a cartoon character and the other one looks like a male pixie rather than a human teen.

Sadly I dont have high hopes for seeing more realistic males with G3M : (

M7 has ran off with Scott 6 having decided between the two of them they are tired of wearing v7s castoff clothing, and collectively owning gstring, a pair of ubiquitous surfer shorts, sandals and a barbarian outfit.

Or they are raiding Vicky's closets while she's at work... I think I heard Vicky complaining about her cloths getting all streched out,,,, But Scott looks Absolutely Fabulous in Vicky's Evening Dress....

It could be a good thing that M7 is taking a long time. Hopefully it means that the developer is making sure he's 100% right.

    We shall see....

    CHEERS!

Do women really want their men to be slender, runway model types?  I assume that what Daz thinks woman want in a man comes in a lot when they are designing figures.

Yes as a ladyperson I want slender men so very much, unfortunately the last DAZ official character to fit the bill was David 5. And I don't think they really are designing the men for women, we're a tiny percentage of the buyers so it the men are more what men want to be rather than what women want to look at.

I like adult men who are slender and buffed too. I like the flexibiity. Hopefully Gen 3 male will be even better than Genesis and Genesis 2. (Crosses fingers).

I posted this in another thread, but something to remember is that if DAZ releases M7 while the PA Full Throttle sale is still going on, they're going to get double whammied on discounts.  People with the full Full Throttle discount would be getting the M7 Pro bundle for $34, and if they had the Scott bonus as well, the M7PB would be just $17.  That's so not going to happen.

Beyond that, I have to wonder if there may be some technical issues to overcome.  From what I've read, a number of PAs have had issues with texturing the G3F geo-graft gens, and I imagine that problem could be even more exacerbated with G3M.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,704

Since we haven't heard anything about Genesis 3 male, I'm honestly beginning to wonder. Especially since they usually identify when the discount will be redeemable like they did with Mei-Lin. The very absence of commentary or conversation gauging our expecations leads me to suspect M7 won't be out soon.

I make this question here because I sent this question to contact, and they told me I make this question here, so this a question for DAZ Staff: When will be Genesis 3 male figures available? It's too long time since G3F appeared and now we'll have even Josie 7! I think it's time G3M finally appears! Personally I don't like female figures, I prefer male ones, that's why this is important for me. At least give us an answer about this odd delay, I think a lot of people deserves an anwser or at least a day when G3M appears.

Please DAZ Staff, we need an explanation, so reply this message please,

    Thanks!

I know there are more threads like this, but this is especially for DAZ Staff, because they told me I have to open a thread especially they answer, so I did that.

I really do hope so!  Feel's like its too long wait since August when DAZ hinted M7 was 'soon to be released'.

Can't see it; but G3F was a complete broadside, so no idea.

    What we know:

    1. G3M is coming and for those that bought Scott, there will be extra discount.

    2. The next female is: Arabella 7; although strictly speaking, this is supposition based on its included UVs in a released product. It is good supposition though, as it has been born out previously.

    We don't know anything else.

Unless someone wants to state facts (no hopes, fears, dreams fantasies... ETC.).

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 2,029

Maybe they are going to wait with releasing the next model for when the 40% off sale is over. I doubt they would have Michael 7 at 40% off + an additional discount for those who bought Scott.

    It might suit Arabella though.

Where are people seeing "Arabella 7"?

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,704

The reality is no one but DAZ staff and the PA's working on the project know when M7 will be out. Most of us, are just speculating on trends and based on what we've seen in fits in the content.

Arabella came up because a user discovered the fit in a new clothing item. That was all. Any of us really know, or those of use who can say.

I'll admit that I'm skeptical he will be out soon- because if he were to come out, surely we'd hear some news or there would be a concrete release date. But again, just my guess.

We've also been told another Generation 2 male will be out prior to M7/Basic Male Gen 3.

morphs for some hair was first place I saw it.

did we get clarity on this? I think we were debating on if we misread it, or if it Men, meant Scott and friends from the prop pack.
