Belle 6, Jayden 6, Josie 6 and Brodie 6 have vanished from the Store. They don't even show up in the required products such as this one, which is a morph for Jayden...
It hasn't been a toal teen kinapping as Julie 5 and Justin 5 are still in the Store.

Yeah, I can't imagine DAZ would just remove them. That would be a real slap to the PAs who developed a lot of stuff for them. It must be a mistake.

I've never heard of a figure removed from the store for maintenance. Is it just an oil change or something major?

It's really strange that they would take the entire product out of the shop just to tweak some stuff.
I mean what kind of tweaking could possibly be so massive that the product needs to be gone from the shop for a while?

Daz is probably going to come out with new characters. Like Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple and such. And we will have to make scenes where they investivage the kidnapping. Once we are close, the teens will be let go...

Well... If I had to guess, using the Young Teens 5 in the past as a basis, they're probably botching the crotch areas to be incompatible with genitalia. I mean, they all really do look very young for thier age ranges, even Josie & Jayden, who are supposed to be "older" teens.
There's a site that guesses the age based on a photo of a person. That estimated Belle to be between 19 and 23.

IIRC, none of them have compatible UV maps already. Given that you can use the shape as part of a custom dialed character, or use a different UV map, the only way to actually prevent that would be to take them out of the Genesis 2 Genepool and make them completely non-compatible with anything else.
Maybe they'll load with v4's purple bikini?
And the first thing we do with that is take it off so she can wear outfits it doesn't show through -- or nothing but a sword if she's in a religious mood and there's a temple nearby. They'd have to not only take this bunch outta the gene pool but come up with a way to prevent folks putting other skins on them if they want bikinis on all the time. Maybe build it into the mesh, like a certain model I'd have bought ages ago if only I could have put other clothes on it. Didn't want it naked, just thought the poor critter shouldn't have to wear the same suit all the time. Which ain't very sanitary, even for toons.
Of course, it's just as possible that DAZ has decided to not make any teens in the Gen7 lineup and is adding iray shaders to the Gen6's as a stopgap.
They shouldn't need to take them out of the Store to add shaders, though.
It ocurred to me that some have seen ankle mesh distortion in the DSON imported Genesis 2 (some have seen it in Studio too, but I haven't, myself) ; I wonder if it is due to an issue with these partucular character morphs...

They didn't just take them out of the store, they erased them. All the accessories and figures based on them (10 characters for Belle 6 alone) now show Genesis 2 as a requirement, but no other characters.
I can't believe that this has anything to do with the possible uses of young characters, for one specific reason: the "growing up" products are still in the DAZ lineup.

Given DAZ's past history with downgrading products retroactively without notice, one can understand the paranoia. That said, I don't believe any of the teens ever had their own UV set, just the base G2F or G2M, so those textures ARE what they're compatible with, and most of those those products are still clearly labled "for Belle" or whatever in the descriptions. Not to mention that if the figures were pulled, those characters sets would no longer work "as shown", and DAZ couldn't sell them using the existing pictures.
It's possible they are rebundling them. Didnt Brodie and Belle just have a generic bundle, no starter/pro? Although its confusing about Jayden Josie...
I dont think they could do any drastic changes since its not what folks bought. Fixes for anything is just in a update not a relaunch in store. Maybe new promos, but I dont see why would remove them from store while they do it. I'm thinking re-bundling unless was a glitch for some sale that ended up removing listings lol
