Try asking in the Bryce Forum. Someone will know. Or Cho may drop by and help. She does her setup and renders in Bryce. smiley

Try working from the Top camera view.  The first little arrow on the left hand set of icons gives you the various camera views.

Yeah, my knowledge about switching views in Bryce is minimal.. going to sit down next week and push myself to get that igured out.  I'm going to need to crank out 12-14 images for my next album and some promo tracks.. urgh.. brain hurts again!

I use those but it's not all that easy.. the ball and such are good for fine control, but I need to learn to swap the viewports around.. just have to force myself to sit down and learn.

It's relax and party time now, though! Released my new rack on Bandcamp and SoundCloud, Facebooked it, Twittered it, posted in music release forums.. Gods help me, I do my own marketing and promotion.. argh meh.. vodka and Diet Coke time, turning up Megadeth - LET'S ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

Smoke from several big wildfires east of the mountains blew into the city today.  Made for a very surreal experience as it was.not cloudy but extremely hazy to the point of almost looking like fog.  Could smell it as well.  Sunset looked like a scene out of a post apocalyptic film as the sun was blood red.

That's exactly what I was thinking!   In fact, I just may have to try that for a sky render someday.  I drove out to the coast today (past Tillamook, roughly an hour on the highway from here for those who don't know), the smoke extends nonstop from Portland to the ocean.  That's a lot of smoke.

...yeah I am looking into the possibility of staying at a motel that has weekly/monthly plans for the interim. I'll have to scale down my cooking but do have 'ware that works in a nuker so I won't have to exist on over processed convenience foods with ingredient lists that require a PhD in biochem to understand.

Ugh, woke up to gut issues this morning. Was supposed to meet with some friends today but the thought of sitting on a bus being bounced around for a while is not very appealing.

Damn, I hope you feell better soon!!! I have a touch of the churns but nothing serious..

My nexy=t purchase may be a small electric skillet, if such a thing exists.  I'd just give it away when I moved and buy new at the other end.. but the microwave stuff will come with me.

    Feel better soonest!!!!!

...electric skillets do exist.  They were all the rage back in the 60s. Most of the newer ones have nonstick coatings (I tend to shy away from that as it eventually cracks and peels as well as you also need to use plastic utensils so the surface isn't damaged) though there are a few stainless steel ones available.

Yeah, feeling a bit better. I was able to get a ride so still went to the meeting though didn't et much of anything. Thinking I may actually be able to handle something for dinner.

An unhealthful air warning is in effect lasting through tomorrow. I saw several people wearing those filter masks or covering their nose and mouth.  Not a good day if one has asthma.  Temps were around 90 as well today and low 90s for tomorrow.

Dang, that looks more like San Francisco.... yikes! Stay indoors! indecision

...actually more like New York or LA back in the 60s. I remember flying to New York back in '68, it was a beautiful clear mid winter day after we left Chicago (usual lake effect snow).  As we we began our descent for final approach over New Jersey, it was almost like hitting a wall as it suddenly looked a lot like the last picture I posted even though the sky was still cloudless.  When I stepped out of the terminal at La Guardia the sun was a light orange disk in the thick haze, it was about 1 PM in the afternoon.

...and that was in early February, not Summer when the smog would really get bad.

    ...thank you.

...conditions improved as the day went on today.  By late afternoon/early evening I could actually see the sky again.  Still could smell burnt trees in the air though not quite as strong as yesterday and the haze seemed to persist more at the lower levels (almost a calm day at the surface level). Winds have switched around to the West-Northwest so the bad air alert has been dropped.

Still hit 93 in the hood here, 88 officially at the airport.

    Ravens lost, Texans lost.  Feh.

2 games today, Giants/Stelers, the either Dallas/SF or STL/TEB.  Guess I'll be spending some time in front of the idiot box today.

Still have leftover pizza, pasta, and chicken for the games, plenty of vodka and diet Coke, so I don't have to go out in the rain for anything.

Breakfast: Nature Valley protien bar, coconut/almond.  WAY more fiber than the Atkins bars.. might eat one of the Natuee Valleys twice a week.  Fiber good!

Baco to working on my new track... indecision

...I hate the preseason.  We just lost our #1 wide receiver Jordy Nelson probably for the season to a knee injury in a meaningless game.  This will be a huge blow to title hopes if it is an ACL tear as that means he's is out all season. Nelson is Rodgers' "deep threat" WR who had seven 40+ yard TD receptions last year.

...my feelings exactly.  Meds making me a bit drowsy and less wanting to do things.

Didn't win Saturday's Megabucks.  Getting close to needing that "miracle" to happen as next week is the end ofo the month. Another draw tonight 6.4$ million which wil be about 158,000$ per year after taxes and build to over 300,000$ by the 25th (last pay out) year. Also got a Mega Millions 1$ pull for tomorrow as I didn't want to put just 1$ on the card.

However back down to terra firma, I have another interview on Wednesday for an inventory management position at a firm which converts airliners into freighters. This is the first aviation related job I have looked into for since I was interested in engineering before college.

...looks like another site change.  I do notice the forums look a little cleaner (don't have that huge blocky looking text in posts anymore).

However there is one new annoying feature. Seems that when the server gets slow a Cloudflare overlay pops up saying that there was a timeout. and you have to refresh the page (losing everything you typed after the previous auto save).

sounds good.  aviation industry going strong.

my temp day job company is about communication between faa and atc.

tee hee, looked at my dayjob email.  manpower is sending email fits 3 times a day for my hours not being entered.

manpower took away my vacation pay, as if that was gonna make me not take vacation.  i'm in this job 12 and half years now.  i shoulda been up to 3 weeks vacation by now, was the terms when i first started.  their emails are from a noreply addy.  can't even respond with a vacation notice. they'll have to actually make a real live person to call me.
