  • I like the faux trailer and film look. It does look like some of the lettering on your ships is off just a bit in a few places.

What prompted the change to the Khambatta's Torpedo launcher?

  • I saw a picture from an old ships of the line of a Phase II Variant that had a Torpedo Launcher that was a cross between the one for the ship and the Enterprise Class. I wanted to make the Khambatta a little more like she is a step towards that. Thought the Launcher looked cool.

Ahh ok. Yeah that does look neat. I just noticed thechange and wondered why you'd headed in that direction with it. I do love the Phase II design work.

  • Just a quick note that the animated Star Trek: Aurora "Mudd in Your I" Part 4 is now available. For those who haven't seen the earlier parts (or the earlier movie), it stars Daz characters, and makes use of some of the Trek items listed on this forum. (Thanks to all here who make those items available!)

Thank you for the kind words.

So here is the list that answers the questions.

All the characters are G2 series but the Uniform is Genesis's outfit Defiant. It's like 1.99 here on DAZ and given that it's designed for males and female it's a one size fits all. Really wish there was a male/female outfit that shared the same textures for uniforms for the G2/G3 series of figures.  The military prides it self on a uniform (same likeness) appearance.

The texture is part of a series I started with GeorgeHaze and ShadowhawkOne: The Generation Beyond.

"The Next Generation were fine for their time but now we're A Generation Beyond!"

For Defiant -  http://pdsmith.deviantart.com/art/Generation-Beyond-Uniform-Texure-Addon-for-Genesis-447299349 And for the M4/V4 (couragious/Valient)  I made a matching set, hosted by my brother.
    For M4/V4 - http://shadowhawkone.deviantart.com/art/Generation-Beyond-Uniform-Texture-addon-for-V4-M4-447987367

the rank pin is by GeorgeHaze (A little futzing to get them in place)
    http://www.sharecg.com/v/75628/gallery/11/Poser/GENERATION-BEYOND-Commbadge-and-RankPin-Smartprops

Bonus item... Holographic Tricorders for it are here too:
    http://www.sharecg.com/v/76059/gallery/11/Poser/GENERATION-BEYOND-Holographic-Tricorder-Smartprops

The Andorian is indeed wearing the Mechgirl outfit but for the leg and hip I recoloured her skin black and made it more latex like to appear protective.

Now the draw back...the lighting is all due to Luxrender's unique ability to modifiy lighting while the image renders. This gave me the chance to see things, and fintune as the image progressed.

This feature is one I strongly believe should be placed at the top of the list with Iray.

Starting and stoping a render for light checks should be a thing of the past.

lastly. the Generation Beyond logo (created by GeorgeHaz) is a gif with a blank background so may be used as a water mark if so desired. (if Daz's forum program hasn't changed or locked the gif.)

Thanks for posting the links for those, Paul. Just an FYI, the logo was originally posted as a PNG file, for the transparent background. I found it on pg 29 of the STBU 5:Where No Pixel Has Gone Before, for anyone else who needs/wants the transparent background.

I think that there is a poser model of that version, one of Mattymanx conversions.

Ed.: found it! Phase 2 Lexington for Poser You need to be registered in foundation3d to download it.

HU for some free items including M4 and the bodysuit in the hero pack  :-)

And Rawart's sale includes No-Suit for G2F. Very handy for morphing in characters and/or for clothing pieces.

    You're welcome.

Today I've uploaded a couple of ST items, D/S4.6 prop files.

    Main post in Freebies

  • My first images of the New Year.

Very nice work.  :)  Is this a movie or a graphic novel?

  • For whoever is creating links on the main page now, my film Star Trek: "Eye of the Tempest" was taken off of YouTube.  It is now on Vimeo instead, but in two parts.

    Part 1:

    Part 2:

And for anyone interested in an audio production from Starship Saladin that is chronologically earlier than "Eye of the Tempest" I have Starship Saladin: "Shattered Faith."

I hope everyone is having a great New Year so far!

    Sincerely,

    Ken

Graphic Novel. I am still fleshing out the details for the first story in the series. But I hope to have it ready for release by late Spring early Summer.

A little something I found on Blendswap, the other day...

    http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/82625

It is a very high poly mesh...over 1,000,000 quads when converted to obj and imported into Studio.

    Where is everybody?

Okay ... nice cold day ... good day to stay inside and see what else we can do. Found a 'Gorn' head in the stack so put it on Genesis and voilà.

... sigh ... over in my render folder at DA, won't upload here.

  • Been busy working on my script and sets. Nothing to really show off just yet. ;)

Still around. Starting the prep work for a new series- non Trek, so I haven't posted anything here.

    Okay :-)

Here are the links to the images that wouldn't post here, they were a little too big but resizing in SnagIt just won't have them looking right with all those scales.

I did not touch the geometry, just brought the neck inwards to put the item on Genesis. A few spots would need to be redone to have a few edges smoother for morphing.

I feel for you, just this past weekend had water-damaged material removed from my ceilings, dreading the estimate of what it will cost to do the reconstruction.

Fortunately it was in one of the bathrooms and over the bath tub so only damage is to the sheetrock in the ceiling

Maintenance said they would be back tomorrow to fix the ceiling.

One of the few advantages of renting instead of owning
