Looks good M.
On another subject has anyone else been dropped from the e-bot mailing list lately? I just got one after almost a week and when I come by way of it, the stupid site won't let me sign in. I had to come by way of my bookmark- again.
A day late and a dollar short as always!
I had onsite notifications and when I clicked on any of them I got a "page not found". Did a search of the forum and was able to get back in the topic again. Weird...
It looks like someone posted and then it was removed for whatever reason.
Apparently. I had 3 separate links (dated for yesterday 2/8) in my notifications once I logged in. All of them took me to the "page not found". You'd think they'd have fixed that bug about deletions...
No comment or you might get anothe rpage not found.
Here's pictures of my Arboretum set that I created in Sketch-up and exported to Poser. The exotic alien plantlife is from an old freebie set called "Dreamplants" which I can't find a link for anymore.
The room is low poly and done movie set style -- no ceiling or fourth wall so it's easy to light and set up your camera
So, with these caveats -no ceiling, no plants, no fourth wall, very low-poly, non-canon -- I still would be willing to go to the trouble to package it up and post it if anyone is interested in having it.
I definitely would be interested!
Sincerely,
Bill
Me too
Thalek, got the e-bot notice about your message but I can't access my messages to reply. The file's probably on one of my storage discs. But since Nova Trek's done now, I don't have a need for it now.
M-
That looks great! If I were still doing Nova Trek, I'd definately find a way to use it.
All-righty then! Will bundle it all up!
Great work!
Definitely! Looks great!
Where did everybody go???
Been a busy personal week for me, plus I've been working on re-writing huge chunks of my script instead of working on sets, although that's shifting back now that my updates are done.
I've been working on a character for Genesis 3 Male for the store. Very frustrating. Hoping I got most of the bugs worked out. Hadnt seen a posting from anybody in about a week. Just wondered if ebot had gone screwy or if maybe I had missed a posting change.
I've been wrestling with a Nemesis version of the Enterprise for about a week. It's a good mesh, but the conversion was such a mess; I had parts all over the place. She still has holes in her, but overall, she looks pretty good. Decided to do a recreation to test it out.
Looks good.
Still can't sign in by way of the e-bot. had to come by way of my book mark- again.
Went on vaction with the family.
After I recover from my vacation, I'll fix the uniforms plus try to do the admiral and vice-admiral versions as well.
She's looking good!
Join the club! I hardley get any ebot notifications anymore, and the ones I do generally don't work and tells me it can't find the page I am looking for. I wish I could drum up the energy to care anymore. Its not like they have listened to our comments about it not working in the past.
Does anyone have a copy of the uv map/seam template for both Courageous and Valiant, or know where I can get it? I'm trying to do a Star Trek texture, but the shoulder part is giving me fits. LOL.
You should be able to generate your own, using the obj file from the geometry folder
I use uv viewer to do this it gives a nice clear png uv map http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=other&product=uv_viewer
Thanks for the pointing that out, Chohole.
You're welcome. I would have offered copies of the ones made, but my textures tend to be smaller sizes than people like nowadays, I always call my textures cheap and cheerful, as they are smaller in pixel size and thus smaller in KB size.
I wish there was a MAC version of that program. I have a Windows system at home, but sometimes need access to making UV Maps at work on my Mac.
A teaser of what to come...
(my question is, since there is no props or sets (except for the Bridge) based on the 2009 reboot, what would be the best to use for other rooms and the corridors)
The video game that came out around the time Into Darkness came out has a LOT of the ship detailed from corridors to a different Engineering as well as crew quarters and other things. I don't know if anyone's exported them from that yet, but getting screenshots wouldn't be too hard either.
I haven't received anything since Night-Forager's post. Thought I should wonder by and see what I've missed.
