...same feelings here about G8.1 particularly since I am still using 4.12 for scene building and 4.10 for rendering (as I have a pre-RTX GPU which ruins slower on 4.12 because the version of Iray it has is optimised for RTX instead of older cards).
As to repetitive content, really, how many Japanese schoolgirl outfits do we really need, particularly for the same Genesis generation? I've pretty much limited my purchases to primarily environment sets, props, resource content, and some G8 clothing styles that never were available for older generation figures (I have the G8 to G3 clothing converter script).

I have been putting things on wishlist looking forward to the PA sale and then the PC+ sale, but budgets hit and no offers for a gift card that I have seen recently... means more wishlisting. I am buying PC+ items and selected PA items that will help me work better. DAZ a gift card sale would be appreciated.
(And a recent User reset caused my Daz database to be uninstalled. All 3.9TB of it. I just got Gen 8 and 8.1 Core characters loaded, and some of other support products loaded in the last three days. One positive, my upload times for G8.1M and F drastically reduced.) It makes me hesitant to buy more characters and stuff now.

And as Daveso said with the banner you can get the bundle cost down to $10 with 2 new releases (one of which is a debut release) in your cart.
Question for you Daz veterans out there. I thought the end year sale was pretty good, March Madness was alright, PC+ sale was amazing, but up till now I am really not too impressed with the PA sale. Is this pretty typical?
Sure were only in it for a couple of days, but I didn't pick up anything of note, while with the previous sales I would already be kind if worried how fast I was spending in regard to the length of the month.
From my limited experience and for my personal shopping habits the PA sale is the least attractive sale within a year. The current one is either starting really, really, really slow... or following the changed sale strategy that seems to be in place for a while now...
The $ 0.99 sales (flash and blink and whatever...) aren't really a part of the PA sale, as some sales like that might pop up everywhen during a year...

I've been lazy since buying a new 2TB NVME SSD (a hidden cost of owning enough DAZ products so that DIM says I have over 6000 products) and don't even have DAZ and my content, reinstalled yet but I did buy this product:

I'm going to buy the NYC Bodega too.
I'm reserved a small amount of money beyond what I've already spend this month for really great bargains but those are harder to come by with all the content I've already bought.

Aurilio is gradually releasing the components for a whole NYC neighborhood. With the twwo tenement sets, we can now assemble a street with a cross-street and cover most camera angles for storytelling purposes.
Yeah, nice... too bad that I'd rather need a more rural New Mexico Small Town Setting... so even though the NYmodels are utterly tempting, they aren't on my shopping list and the New Orleans vistas that were on sale for $ 1.99 apiece recently neither...
So up to now the sale hasn't tickled my fancy...
I only checked in today to see how much it would cost to get the so called Daily Freebie. (More than I am willing to pay)
I find it telling that this thread only had 7 more comments since yesterday morning (I am 1 hour ahead of Daz time zone) but the Report Sales Issues thread has 59.
@daveso-confused Thank you for the link. I have seen folks mention this method, but it was hard for me to visualize it. The video did the trick.
My initial times for G8.1F was 1.52.02 min and for G8.1M was 47.81 sec; after loading a careful selection of morphs and pose/expression sets, the times went up to G8.1F 3.37.88 min and for G8.1M to 1.42.78 min. I am going to add more, because I need the characters' skins for created characters. It is sad that we don't have young people yet in G8.1 (ie boys without beards baked into skins). So I have to load more G8 characters and not have access to the facial expressions of G8.1. But it is really easy to just not load pose sets that are duplicates of many others from some of the creators and I found I never used in the past.
But my experience is influencing my purchasing of characters, morph sets, poses, and hairs. (I found I have quite a few short hair with a part and a slightly longer side on one side. And shaved side hairs.) I am looking for the unique, creative, thoughtful, and considerate of my resources products.

I'm so irritated about missing the Celebration coupons because of the super short duration that I'm done with the PA sale -- at least for awhile
Last year was also my first PA sale and made the exact same question. Sadly, this is typical.
PA sale is good if you usually buy on release date (debut/still new). So if you are of those that buy at only 30% new item discount for PA (non DO) items, then this month you get better prices.
But if like me (and many others) you mostly purchase from catalog, then this month can be actually worst as discount are lower than any average regular month featured artist discount.
Now, at least i think that this time is about the same and not worst than last year. Becase both March Maddness and PC+Sale(both of them) were a LOT better last year than this one.

I looked at one of the tenement models and thought "Holy crap, that's my girlfriend's building." It isn't ... quite ... but it's very close. I don't know who Aurilio is, but I'm pretty sure I've probably passed them on the street.

I wish they (or someone) would do upscale neighborhoods, Park Ave, Fifth Ave both the buildings and the sidewalk with the wall to the park, Central Park, the carousel, the little bridge over the lake... I guess Central Park would be hard, but maybe in sections with low res buildings or billboards of buildings in the background. Basically I’d like the sets of a typical Woody Allen movie lol.

I was frustrated today because I want the Mrs Chow Starter Bundle for $10 but you only get it for $10 if your buy an item released today. I don't want anything today. I would of bought the Mrs Chow Starter Bundle for $10 if I could of bought the Bodega today and got the discount but nope. It's OK, I'll buy the Bodega with the $15 store credit Monday I got for buying the Oni Warrior Bundle and leave Mrs Chow on the shelf for now.
