    It is snowing outside. Nice day to render something.

    I hate this bug. I was trying to render an artistic nude of Victoria 6. Daz Studio/3Delight did not render her skin texture properly. I think someone mentioned that there is a bug with the elite human sub surface shader. I tried to reapply V6's texture but Studio still renders her skin incorrectly. Now I need to close Daz Studio and open it again.

    This bug happens randomly without a noticeable pattern, at least from my view.

    Unfortunately, they will probably not fix that bug. They are all but abandoning the Gen4 items it seems, so it's doubtful they'd even care about a bug for them. Plus they've got other shader tech now, and other lighting. Seems like everyone who wants high-res renders uses that Reality thingy.

    there's a couple of fixes floating around the forum. iirc one was to clear the temp files so DS has to regenerate the files.

    i don't think there is anything preventive we can do. not if we want sss

    i been meaning to do an artistic nude of gianni. ;)

    If you go to the temp folder (Edit>Preferences to see where that is) and delete the contents of the Shaders/Brickyard folder you should be able to render. It's an issue with the compilation of Shader Mixer-based shaders, such as the AoA SSS Shader.

    Non-complaint!

    The stupid motor control hardware/software I've been fighting for 3 weeks FINALLY WORKS! W00000000000t! :cheese:

    Everyone in the office came down to my cube just to watch a motor spin (lol)! Serious stress loss, this has been giving me ulcers for ages.. this is the last part of the system I'd never seen work, and having never done motor control before this my confidence was "low to negative". :red: I should know better, but... ehhh..

    So, party time, going to get a six of some kick-butt microbrew on the way home, throw on some metal, and PAR-TAY! :coolsmile:

    Not sure I'm going to put this on my resume'.. about melted my brain.. but the old dog can learn new tricks, as expected! :snake:

    Going to sleep like a brick tonight, I bet. Soooooooo much more relaxed now...
