At least Arsenal bounced back defeating #2 Manchester City 2 - 0

After Da Trout eats that meal, they may change the name of his city to "The Windy City". :ahhh:

...ugh, two turnovers recovered in Seattle territory, two trips to the red zone, and only two lousy field goals to show for it.

Finally after recovering a punt which again gives them great field position, Packers get it into the end zone on a Rodgers to Cobb pass in the waning moments of the first quarter.

yeah but they should be 8 more points ahead of where they are. But they are still winning so its all good. Just need to keep it up and stay strong.

...well there's still 30 min to go, though the Packer Defence has intercepted Wilson three times as well as special teams forced a fumble. 4 turnovers (especially in the first half) is hard to overcome. Also right now Packers have the edge in 3rd down conversions (12 - 3) and yardage (178 - 59). Wilson is 2 for 9 with only 8 total yards passing while Rodgers is 12 of 21 for 115 yards.

Then again Rodgers has also tossed two himself, including one on the opening drive of the game. At least Seattle diodn't capitalse off either one.

We'll see what happens after halftime adjustments are made for like I said there is still 30 min left, and 've seen the Green Bay defence go soft in the second half when they had a good lead several times and almost wound up losing the game on a couple occasions.

    How lonely!

Heh, my silliness aside... I just got done moving out of the current place I was staying at and got all my stuff unpacked. Well most of my stuff. Some is still in boxes since the new room is kinda um.... Not big.
I took a few photos once I finally got everything moved in, but I've done a bit of rearranging since then (Like a new and bigger desk, and removing the two sliding doors on the closet so I have easier access to the shelves inside)
    .
    .
I also got an external CD drive so I can finally install CD stuff, like Zoo Tycoon and Paraworld, neither of which are on GoG or Steam. Quite surprising in the latter's case, since they love getting their hands on "Forgotten Gems" like that. Reinstalling Zbrush now, but Cinema 4D will have to wait longer since the disc seems to be corrupted :(
    .
    .
ALso been watching Ouran High School Host Club and loving it quite a bit. Wouldn't have expected it to be an anime I'd enjoy, considering its genre (Romance/Drama) but I do ^^
It's especially fun knowing that Tamaki is voiced by the same actor who voiced Edward Elric, so whenever Tamaki freaks out I just can't help but laugh - not only because it's amusing, but because he does so in a very similar manner to Edward, and that voice aah... Just love it x)
    .
    .
Not much else to report.... I think? I could think up some other things to say, but there's not much off the top of my head I can think of. Well, nothing folks here would be interested in anyway ;P
Might post some commissioned art I got that is normal'ish in nature tho?

*pouncehug* Hey nice looking place :) Is that a story about Matrix Neo on the bookshelf there ?

Packers lose. That sucks. I can';t believe the come back in the 4th. A couple bonehead plays lost them the game

Still sitting here fuming. If I was the owner I would fine the 2 boneheads that cost them the game. An onside kick recovery that goes through your hands and hits your helmet and then a back who didn't swat the lobbed ball down on a 2 point conversion. Here's hoping the Patriots will beat the Colts

...I can considering the bonehead play calling by McCarthy after that last interception in Seattle territory. Instead of setting up a clock grinding drive and most likely another score that would have iced the game (even a field goal at that point would have cinched the win), he committed what I call a " Bellotti" (after the former Oregon ducks coach who would lose games that were sure wins in a similar fashion) by "playing it safe" with running plays to Lacy, all of which resulted in the Packers moving backwards instead of down field and wasting an opportunity to maintain the momentum on their side.

This was a total 4th quarter meltdown...no I take it back...last 4 minute meltdown thanks to Coach McCarthy which resulted in the momentum going Seattle's way after they were effectively beat down all game with Wilson being intercepted 4 times.

Green Bay was beating the odds all game until then.

I will be calling for McCarthy's firing for that poor play calling which basically "snatched defeat from the jaws of victory" as well as a Super Bowl berth.. In a game this important, you pull out all the stops and don't just "play it safe" for when you do, it usually backfires.

...and it isn't the first time he has done this.

So the "Seattle Jinx" is still alive, and this, time it really burns.

...true, those were both stupid mistakes. Odd the the back (Clinton-Dix) who didn't bat that 2 point conversion down caught two interceptions earlier. That would have made the difference as Green Bay would have won it by 1 with the field goal.

However neither of those situations may have even occurred if McCarthy hadn't "played it safe" with just over four minutes to go. Green Bay had decent field position after that interception. Starks was running better than Lacy (Lacy's been a magnet for the opposing defence all season), short pass plays were moving the Packers downfield and getting first downs. Only one first down and another 7 - 8 yards would have eaten another one to two minutes off the clock and like I mentioned, most likely put Green Bay in field goal range (especially how Crosby was hitting them all game) or at the worst, pinned Seattle inside the 20 with maybe two minutes left.

Again I've seen McCarthy make this mistake during the regular season and on several occasions, it nearly cost Green Bay the game.

I don't know why coaches still think a "prevent" scheme will work when all it usually does is prevent your team from winning. Green Bay had their foot on Seattle's throat at that moment if you saw how dejected Russell and several other Seattle players looked on the bench following the last interception. I almost could feel the momentum shift watching that bad series of plays unfold that went nowhere.

Not fun to lose, but it is really hard to take when your head coach makes bad decisions that turn the tide while the team is in total control and only minutes away from winning.

This was more of an embarrassment than if the Packers were stomped say, 38 - 3.

...apologies all. Not very good company right now.

Yeah, I know, "it's just a game". Yet still, when your team is the underdog who nobody is giving a ghost of a chance, who is beating all the odds while making the naysayers shut up and eat crow, and hopefully, finally getting a big monkey off your back (losing the last several times there), only to end up beating themselves in the end with poor decision making when at the brink of victory, well...it's just a little deflating.

...especially tough when people you know who are fans of the "other guy" take pleasure in rubbing it in (closed FB and links to it for the rest of the night).

For me, this means a bit more as I've stuck with this team though all the years, good and bad as when they win it give me the sense of being a winner too (It's sort of "in the blood").

    ...and when they lose...

I need a drink or three...

I recently got this allosaurus figurine, and I am totally loving the thought of him being a mount and companion, riding along on his back as he dashes through a big fantasy forest or desert <3</p>
