Big decision of the day.. what kind of soup to have? Or maybe chili? %-P

Downloading all my synths and banks from the now-closed company.. at least they gave us time to do it before everything vanishes. Sad.

summer cookouts and the chili dip with the cheese and the other cheese. :)

was looking up how to make the ambrosia fruit salad, there's lots of variations. don't wanna use canned fruit cocktail, whahs the point then of making home made?

finding out some people are allergic to strawberries. how horrible nature could be so cruel!

are there gadgets for making home made apple juice or cider?

I use a juicer to make all sorts of fruit juices, including blended ones.

They come in all sorts of prices, from cheap to expensive.

...was sunny and 58°in my neighbourhood. today., almost springlike.

Not a bad day for the market run.

Tropical storms have been taking their toll here. Right now is not a breath of wind and humidity is draped over everything like a wet wool blanket. Fruit bats are out in force tonight, leathery wings that flap with the sound of footfalls in the night sky. They must be hungry after finding shelter the past 48 hours or so :) Fires seem to have spread the love all up and down the coast the past few days
...uh oh, more fires. I take it the + means something bad?

    Holy effing eff!

The company that makes my go-to ambient synthesizer SHUT DOWN AS OF THIS MORNING! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

The music community has gone insane.. no reason why, no responses from the company, NOTHING! I got a nice email telling me to download and back up my products because the servers go down in July.. holy eff!

Research by some able folks in the UK show their last corporate filing indicated they had 400,000 UK pounds in the bank, so it's probably not bankruptcy.. sold to another company? NOBODY KNOWS!

Today officially sucks.  Goodbye Camel Audio..

...wow, that's not good. Kind of like when 9mbi suddenly disappeared.

...well another sunny though slightly cooler day in the hood today. The site I use lets you select local neighbourhood weather stations rather than just the airport (who lives at the airport anyway?).

Here in Portland the airport is along the Columbia River and thus, conditions can be different than in the city as it is at the mouth of the Columbia Gorge which gets cold winds from the eastern part of the state in winter.

In Milwaukee WI the airport is near the lakefront and often, like Portland, the conditions can be quite different than other locations in the city due to the effect of Lake Michigan. Just going a couple miles way from the shore, the temperature difference can be as much as 10° - 15°.

I understand the need for accurate weather reporting at airports, but for daily conditions and forecasts, "official" readings should be taken in the city proper where most people live and/or work. In some cases (like Kansas City, Denver, or Dallas) the airport can be a long ways from the centre of town.

Morning. Wild weather seems to be dumping wind and rain right where it will hurt most. Our place is OK, garden still feels bone dry but friends and family are having a hard time as their roofs give up on keeping the outside out and the inside in :)
