Makes better sense than the old sites way of doing things in the way logons. I really hated that about the old site. Annoying as hell!

    Running Chrome 39.0.2171.65. No issues.

And I also LOVE the fact that I don't have to log-in every couple of hours with the new site! That's a definite improvement.

    Win8.1x64
    IE 11.0.9600.17351

Need to log in at least once a day, possibly more but haven't really been tracking more closely.

    Also...
    Notes about the login widget:

Tabstop order is set to jump from "keep me logged in" to "register" instead of "login".
Hitting enter in the password field doesn't submit login info.

Both of those behaviors are contrary to what I've seen on most every other login I've been subjected to.

Same glitches here in the current Firefox.

Would anyone care to bet that many of these weird behaviours over the last few weeks have one cause? We don't have a logon page any more — we have a logon popup. I sense a pattern here; every single time the Magento DAZ store has had a popup (for any purpose) added, instead of a link to a separate page, it hasn't added any improvement, and it's introduced weirdnesses and complications.

This logon, the last store's Quick Cart, and others. None of them have worked right. Forget the whole popup fad, scrap the lot, give us back plain links to actual separate pages.

    Greetings,
    https://www.daz3d.com/customer/account/login/

You can get there by clicking 'Login' without filling anything into the popup.

Personally I've been very happy with how it's kept all my devices logged in MUCH longer than it used to.

    Chrome 40.0.2214.10 beta (64-bit).

Oh, I know we can get around the autopopulate failure. It's just that it works flawlessly on every other site on the Internet I actually need to log into — and it did work in the DAZ store until this site redesign introduced a popup. That gives me a tiny little suspicion of where the thing that needs to be fixed might be found.

...I've had quite the opposite. I have to log in at least once per day and sometimes more like when I click the "Submit Post" button and am routed to the log in page instead.

Also, this sending one to the account page all the time after logging in has to go.

Weirdly I'm on IE9 and for me the new store is working much better than the old one! (Sorry to be so out of line) I've only had to log on three times since the new store came in and never needed to log on to the forums in that time. (And I'm here every day at least once) Isn't that weird?

I'm using IE9 at work and have to log on every day to the store, but not the forums. I use FF33.0.3 at home and yesterday the Icon was blue with a tick, I put something in my cart, found out that I wasn't logged in and when I did my cart was empty but the item was still marked 'In Cart' - I deleted all the Daz cookies and still couldn't get it to clear itself, so I went to my laptop (Using Nightly 36+) and was able to put the order through there. Never thought to add something else to the cart, and I probably should have... I don't mind the logging in so much as it telling me I am logged in when I am not.

    how ?
now I want to find maybe something that has a prize between 5 and 9 dollars because that's what I can spend in the shop
    how ?
    I think there's more that doesn't work

That is twice today that I've had to Switch Themes to dark, but the Search Filters box stays grey. I haven't been logged out inbetween visits. I also hadn't twigged it that the PC+ items were out because I couldn't see them for all the other stuff. I had to put on the PC filter to find them. It would be nice if they appeared at the top, or atleast all together

    Oh it is IE9

I read the first four and last pages and didn't see this mentioned so I apologize if it's already been addressed but how does one search for products for a specific application? We used to be able to search for products that supported Poser w/o the use of DSON, as an example. I can't for the life of me find that feature anywhere.

Typing Poser into the search box (top right of the page in the store) brings up some results.

Bryce and Carrara have better results if they are used in the search box

Yeah, that's pretty hit and miss because that only shows you products that have Poser in the name. I can't imagine that the vendors would be interested in store design that antagonizes the majority of the 3d hobbyist community by making it increasingly difficult to find products that support their chosen applications.

Got my vote. That redirect to the Accounts page is a bit annoying to say the least!

I'll just use your first example, but it should apply to the others as well:

From the home Shop page click on People and Wearables just after ALL >. Next click on Hair farther to the right - just after Toons.

Now scroll down past the "carousels".Click on Figure under Filters. Type Akio 3 where it says "Enter Figure Name...". Tick the box next to Aiko 3 (166).

And there you go! Hope that helps!

...used to be you just typed "Aiko 3" in the search field and you'd get everything for Aiko 3.

Why so many more steps to do something so simple?

Well, yes and no. On the old site, if you put Aiko 3 in the search field, you'd get everything for all versions of Aiko (3-6 and even some pre-A3 content). I'd guess the primary reason for this has to do with the DB's search function. Most search engines don't handle numbers very well. They are much like small and common search terms in that way.

Now if you filtered by Aiko 3 from the left hand menu on the old site, you would get more accurate results. But that's not really any different than it is now. You still just filter by Aiko 3 from the first page.

My previous example seemed more complex than that because 1. the search was for hair for A3 (not everything for her) and 2. I was very explicit in the steps. If you compare it to the old site, it would be just as complex if I broke it down:

First pull down the Shopping drop down menu. Select hair (and either short or long if you have a presence). Then filter by Aiko 3 from the left menu.

Don't get me wrong, there still seems to be some functionality that's not quite the same as it was. But for the most part it seems that things are just in different places than they were before and it's only a matter of getting used to the change.

    That's been my experience anyway.

Oh yeah, this doesn't address the log-in issues that you and several others have been experiencing. I couldn't begin to tell you why you are having those issues.

@ Mr and Mrs Daz: why easy if it also works complicated

Typing "Aiko 3" in the search box (with the quotes, so you don't get Aiko 4, 5, and 6) will give you items with Aiko 3 in the name, but filtering on the figure Aiko 3 will get you items that are compatible with Aiko 3 even if it isn't in the name of the product.

...there still needs to be a "Sort By: Relevance" filter to narrow searches down better. One can only get newest/oldest, most popular or just sort by high /low price (and whatever "trending" means), none of which really helps.

When using the search box, there also needs to be an option for those of us with "real" computers to display the results as a page instead of just rows of all this horizontal scrolling stuff. It gets weary on the eyes real fast. Oh, and have the top banner just scroll continuously and have it stop only when one hovers the mouse over a frame like it used to.

As I feel we are still in a "beta test" of the new store, suggestions made here need to be considered.

Is that when doing a search? It isn't an option if you aren't searching, as it would be meaningless.

    ...OK found that.

Though still getting a fair number of items for Gen 4 and even Gen 5 showing. One would think the sort would be by how relevant (from 100% - 1%) the product is, so that it would first sort by all items unique just to "Aiko 3" at the beginning and then on down to items that are also compatible with other figures to those with the widest compatibility at the end of the list. I also shouldn't be seeing items strictly for Gen4 or Gen5 in the search results for Aiko 3.

It just seems to have been made more complicated than it should be.
