I left my cart standing at $645. If there isn't a correction, I'm turning off all my alerts and am done wwith Daz for this month. There's nothing I want now that won't be cheaper in six months. It isn't cool to tease like that. I was really disappointed.
is over for me too. trying not to feel angry about it. had over 20 items in my cart.
I'm right now paring down my wishlist (again), will try to shop only for things I really want and need in the future. I'm so, so sick of being treated like this!
It's really frustrating.And that's the polite way ot saying it. I have more enjoyable and more lucrative ways of spending my time than being jerked around by a fake sale.
My understanding is that the 50% was mostly an error - perhaps there was a planned flash sale with limited items but it went live with too broad a range and had to be stopped.
That's not an "error." That's a major screwup. someone doesn't put thousands of items on sale, and then pull them off, screwing over the hopes of hundres of customers who are in to process of buying them.
There's something called "quality control" to prevent "errors" liker this and it seems that it is sorely lacking at DAZ.

I wasn't involved with this. But, to be honest, I think that if someone had the items in their cart at the indicated sale price, they shouldn't suddenly be changed while in the cart! It breeds ill feelings...not great customer loyalty building, if you ask me. I know...you didn't ask me.

Awww, the $1.50 items aren't there anymore? I kept the tab open and was going to go back to it after I ate, I'm just back on the computer now. Haven't had a chance to look at it.
The last time they did a new store upgrade they claimed it would be better. So far, I haven't seen the better yet, since that one! Of course, I remember several years ago, they said they were going to stop the flash sales and stuff, because they said they were getting too many complaints about them not being fair. Then, within a month or two of saying that, they were suddenly having these crazy sales every day! And so it has been ever since!

I think it's pretty clear by now that the software never was the main problem. It feels like a combination from hell that's at work here: admins with too little time to check things properly and a rather ruthless and disinterested marketing (they're probably SciFi Viking Egyptians, by the way, thus all the recent content). It's such a pity because there's so much truly awesome content to be found here, so many great artists whom I really enjoy supporting with my money. But I can't be ridiculed and angered like that again and again, it makes me sick with helpless rage. So I'm cutting down spendings here again, I don't think there's any other thing to do. But I feel rather sad and bad about it, I do ...
Same here- I'm at work, checking my cart and cart was suddenly half the cost it was this morning! Added a bunch, then *poof*- back to normal. Back to the wishlist they go...
I guess I have to look at it as a good thing- I haven't been around for a couple of years, and thus have a HUGE wishlist. At those prices, I was really sweating the bill! I've already spent gobs more than I should have, so...

Aaah, I love those glitches. I know it's disheartening when you miss them, but when they go in your favour, they are so much fun.

I no longer take advantage of such things as after one a few years back (which I only grabbed a few things) I grew a conscience after seeing the fallout among the PA's on Facebook.
This is people's livelihoods
if we want them to keep making nice things we cannot screw them like this.
That said it is also incompetence by someone at DAZ allowing such glitches, their Premier Artists get screwed over a lot with missing files, serial numbers etc for only 50% of the profits.
So, today's bundle is nominally a male one, at least the name suggests so. There are 11 items in the bundle, 3 of which are male (4 if you're generous and count the male anatomical elements). Sigh.
Cleopatra's Royal Vizir Bundle is still about Cleopatra. "Curses of Ancient Egypt - Second Cleopatra Bundle" is what the promo email said.

This MM, especially the new items, reminds me of a joke by one of the classic comedians - it may have been Phyllis Diller - about people who have a whole closet full of "Nothing To Wear."
I have only "bought" the PC+ freebies & Mabel 8 (via the coupon with the render contest) since MM started. Mainly because none of the new releases so far interests me and most of my wishlist items were only part of a Mad deal. Heck I didn't even bother with the catch up last weekend - because I couldn't recall a single item I'd really wanted from the first week or so of MM when I was broke.
Well, if DAZ had the proper business morals, any time something like that happens, they should pay the PA's the current price commission. After all, it was
DAZ's fault they let the incorrect prices get out there in the first place.
But doing the right thing is not something we see very often today.

We don't know what they do or don't do. Though if they do do that it's still going to be a reason tot ake it down as quickly as possible.
Talk about perfect timing, I'm doing an animated video for a commission and a tree branch is supposed to fall and hit somebody. I got the idea to do the old cartoon stars and birds flying around thing and while the background was rendering I went and checked the 2.99 items and there was a set from Sickleyield that had the stars and birds in it!

NewEgg.com is just as bad. Everyday something's on sale and it's usually the same stuff, though in a short rotation. It's almost predictable. Miss a sale, just wait a week and it'll come around again. Unfortunately, NewEgg deals in a lot of physical stuff so sometimes when it's gone, it's really gone. Too bad, so sad.
