  • Looks like I won't be able to fit MM into my budget, at least not the first couple weeks. But historically I don't buy a lot in MM, so I am cool. I can sit back, eat popcorn, & enjoy other people finding stuff they like.

My only knock on Elianeck is that she is such and incredible promo artist I can never make her stuff look anywhere close to as awesome as she does in her renders.

  • I'm sure there will be something I pick up.

Maybe it's the close to a decade of doing these, the recent wave of constant non-stop sales with much less hoops to jump through, or just a year of the pandemic, but looking at the bonus items and key items, etc. in today's promo made me roll my eyes and shake my head.

Chances are most of this I'll pick up in 6-12 months at 70% off or $2.99/pop during some other sale.

I'm with Daveso.  Don't need more characters. My spending way down the last few months, In fact I'm now looking at which characters and morph sets to uninstall to reduce load time.  Once again however, Elianeck has her hooks in. At the price I expect I'll buy Jellybean. I wish she would include a natural lips colour.

Well, DD Science Lab Glassware does certainly qualify for "mad" (https://www.daz3d.com/dd-science-lab-glassware). At least for "Mad Scientist". No one in a chemsitry lab would use that stuff, and definetly not in the way shown in the promos. Might be an interesting product for magic sceneries, though laugh. Experiments 02 and 06 will not work at all in real life, and experiment 01 is asking for serious injury. I am looking for some lab glassware, and the start is quite nice. But there is a lot of art in that product, and not so much science.

But ... I found 2 products in that 2.99 section that are selling for 1.50.... and in my cart showing 1.27. That's near free. Hard to pass on characters that inexpensive, plus subD level 4.

I suppose that is part of the madness laugh. I have fallen for the same arguments, although I am so heavy on DAZ females that loading a character already takes ages...

I found this set VERY tempting, too, and one day I'll have it. Maybe soon... Today I picked up Jellybean, my first ElianeCK character. I'm not really interested in this genre, and I'm confused by the fact that E's characters often have heads that are far too small. But this can be fixed quickly, and the figure is really interesting.

Those at 1.5 are probably because the PA is on sale at 50% because of a release that still has an active banner. As we go for keeping only the current banner (as we usually have during these big sale months) my guess is those ovelapping will be less likely. sad

It is still nice the list at 2.99, not the same as 1.99 during PC sales, but close. Looking forward for rotation in that section.

See a few in the $2.99 section I actually want, so thats good news! Now I'm debating whether to jump on the GC discount now or wait and see if a bigger discount rolls out.

I must be the only person that doesn't like Jellybean, even though I have been wanting to pick up a few younger models for cutesy renders. I like the artist and the promos, and usually like her stuff, but something about Jellybean's chin and cheeks are putting me off. Or maybe it is her neck? Not sure. Her skin is nice though. Might get her just for that.

  • I am underwhelmed - spent yesterday in preparation for this...?  Nothing I can use, and I'm wondering if this day is representative of the entire sale to come.  I am actually considering returning yesterday's order, and I have never-ever returned anything in the nearly 8 years I've been here... March Sadness, maybe. :-(

The offer was not too bad, but I do agree that the character looks - uncommon. I could immagine to use her in a Stephen King-inspired render, though. She looks scary enough.

Got an item off my wishlist for $2.57. yes

At first I was a little disappointed because I had been hoping so, so much for a hare or rabbit model to open the March Madness, and I didn't see anything interesting for me in the new items for today. But then I looked into the PCFAD section and found quite a few real nice things that I'm very happy with. Now I'm hoping more of the artists whose things are on my wishlist will come up as Mad Artists and get discounts, along with a nice rotation in the PCFAD section. And maybe the rabbit will be the crowning glory of the sale later on? Or come out a little later, at Easter? Well, one can always hope ... ;-)

Since they are doing a Interactive License sale again I'm getting another stash of those, this time from 3DU, even though 3DU was who I 1st bought IA licenses from back in way back 2012 or 2013, I still have some to catchup with where I want to be.

Even more madness is, that the section is called "Select PC+ Items" while featuring not a single PC+ item... But they probably just were mad enough to forget to insert a "temporary" in front of the "PC+", right? wink

I want a rabbit as well! I really want to make a render with a small creek and lots of cute little rabbits all over the place and maybe a graceful maiden with flowers in her hair. Rendo has an old hare for poser, but it's a little on the cartoony side so I have been holding off.

AM is working on a rabbit, although I have no idea when it will be released, or how far along in the production it is.

An AM rabbit would be perfect!

There's an impressive number of old PC+ on sale in the Mad Artists section starting at $0.83. With discounts they start at $0.53 for two or more. Time to fill in the gaps, if you have any left.

I saw an unusually cheap PC+ item and was wondering if there were more! Thanks!

I got too excited about March Madness and now I can't sleep.

Managed to snag maybe 15 items at very good prices, some for as little as a dollar. Got two bundles (the kind with an environment, outfit and pose set) for about $6 each. Thanks to the Blender Banner*, I should be set on poses for a while. I picked up a few characters as well, though I bought one just for her textures (she has very realistic acne). I'm hoping the PC+ for a day section has more clothing, props and environments in the future. Seems to be pretty character and pose heavy at the moment.

*The blender banner gives you a decent discount for having the Daz to Blender bridge, which is free.

    edited for formatting.

I got that, but that is an independent orange banner not directly related to MM. These sale months there is usually Daily or Today's deal inside the main promo.

There's the daily PlatClub items, and a "get 70% if you have bought a new release in the last three days" thing, than there's the 10% extra off if you own one of the daily deal products. It's also 40% off new releases instead of the usual 30%
