[Released] ROG Fantasy Home: Large Room + Living Room Furniture Set Products [Commercial]

Hi all!

Roguey and I have been working on a new room (interior and exterior(!)).

It's the first room of the aptly named 'Fantasy Home', a collection of rooms in different sizes, hallways and entrances that should allow people to design their own fantasy home / layout.
Everything is built to a grid, meaning that you'll be able to snap all parts together, with as many hallway pieces and rooms and entrances as you like.

While the rooms will be usually empty, they'll include light sources (lamps, fire if there's a fireplace) and some other small stuff, plus everything else needed for Iray renders, so you can just decorate them and render them with the included day or night scenes and render presets.

In addition to the rooms, we're also doing furniture packs with different themes for the Fantasy Home. The first pack coming out along with the Large Room is for a living room, and includes a Scene Subset that will decorate the Large Room as a Living Room. As more rooms of different sizes are added, Scene Subsets will also be added to the Living Room Furniture pack to automatically decorate those rooms into Living rooms.

As we do other Furniture packs (Herbalist, study, bedroom, etc) those packs will also always include Scene Subsets to turn any of the Fantasy Home rooms into a study, bedroom etc.
The idea being to allow people to turn almost any room of any size in the house into (almost) whatever they wish, with a click.

This thread will be used for all ROG Fantasy Home related products.

 CURRENT FANTASY HOME PRODUCTS:

  •  Large Room (Released)
  •  Living room Furniture Set (Released)

 COMING NEXT: Modular hallways.

FANTASY HOME INFO:

  • Each Fantasy Home product has its own icon.
    - Everything in the folder with the blue icons  is for all Fantasy Home products (shared render settings etc).
    - When something within a Product is made to work with another product (like a scene Subset from a furniture product that populates a room, it will also be indicated with a small icon within the scene subset Icon).

  • For those wanting to export the products to other apps, there's 2 Hierarchical Material Presets included with the architecture, under Material Presets. Apply them to the whole scene (interior and exterior).
There's an info Icon there that should explain what's what.

  • Filament Users: Walls (interior and exterior) and floor will be shiny/glossy in Filament and NOT have all the texture blending on them. This seems to be because Filament does not yet support DAZ's 4 layer blend shader taht was used.
Applying the Hierarchical 'Simple Materials' preset included to the whole scene, will replace the 4 layer blended materials with a regular Iray material that has all blending baked in.
These materials might use more RAM or VRAM, so for Iray I'd always use the default materials, or reapply them with the 'Complex Materials' preset included.

  • The 'Complete' scenes have everything set up, lighting, interior + exterior etc so they're always a good place to start.
    - If you're just doing interior renders, you can hide or delete the exterior to speed things up and save VRAM and load it back anytime through the included Scene Subset.

  • Remember that the Fantasy Home Rooms are built to snap to a 25 cm grid that you can set in DAZ, to make sure everything snaps and fits well together if you're trying to combine rooms and hallways.

Promos:

Exterior:
The Grass on the roof was instanced and use on the ground for the render. Barbult and Algovincian did some great renders integrating the exterior into Ultrascenery scenes.

And the interior with the Fantasy Home: Living Room Furniture Product:
Lighting in render is the default included for Iray with the Large Room (with some contrast adjustments in PS)

The Night version:

There's also a 360 Pano render of the interior.

Also, as with our Red Crow Inn and Fantasy Bedroom, you should be able to throw things into the room and the natural lighting that comes with it by default should do a decent job lighting things naturally. You may just want to turn off some candles here and there for contrast sometimes.

Lovely for fantasy art and easily for fairytale pictures too, I've been looking for something like this - sold :)

Did a few more renders today to show the default lighting included on characters (with some quick contrast adjustment in PS).

If you want colder or warmer lighting, it's easy to tweak with the 'white point' setting in the tonemapping settings.
