I second MelanieL, please don't pull it. It's sooo useful!
Maybe, instead of image thumbnails the links could be the gallery entries' titles similar to the forum post links?
We'll see how this evolves, whether Daz keeps this system or what's going to happen. But okay, for now I won't plan to remove it completely even if we can't display the images properly.
Considering that this change they made is breaking lotsa stuff on the system (images on forums, this plugin, etc), someone on another thread suggested that as many of us as want to could make a ticket on this gallery-links-are-temp-links thing, saying they disagree with the idea and here's why...
Hey guys, I'm new to this discussion. Apologies if my question has been answered elsewhere, but I just couldn't find it.
Starting this week, the prices I see in product pages are much higher than those shown on the price charts. E.g. as of today (April 15, 2025), the price I see for this product (https://www.daz3d.com/x-fashion-tek-outfit-for-genesis-9) is $21.99, whereas the chart shows the non-PC price of $8.8 (see pic) and the PC price of $6.16. Last week there was no such discrepancy, and I bought several products at discounts corresponding to the chart prices.
Can you please tell me what went wrong?
For some reason, all the links in this morning's top 21 most discounted items email went to the Oops page for me. Is it just me?
It's not just you. And they're not only old items either, some are genesis 8. Did Daz remove a lot of items recently? :-o
The chart doesn't show the current price, it shows the lowest price for the given day (accordint to the international UTC timezone). If you see a higher current price than what the chart shows as the lowest price for the day, then the sale for that item has recently ended.
It looks like Powerage has left Daz's store and all those items are now inactive.
Oh. Not good. I'll do some cleanup when I get to it. :-/
@Ati - where does the Daz Deals add-on store the list of hidden items? I need to make sure it's getting backed up.
It's stored in your browser's localstorage area.
So Stripe now charges the Daz deals "Buy me coffee" transactions under BIGBLUEHAT... <sacrcasm> that's not confusing at all and certainly didn't get me to call my bank and almost report it as fraud... </sarcasm> @Ati
Also, the order by % savings is not working as advertized...
That's the company name--Stripe is probably using that to be more transparent, and in doing so, it creates more confusion. :D I've asked @Overdrawn if there's anything he can change in that description.
So this is a new error for me.
Top 21 discount links are going to Oops again for me.
Yeah, I keep deleting the non-existing items as they come up. I need to know what to delete in order to delete them, so there will always be broken ones before they are gone from the notifications.
That sounds frusrating. Thanks for working on it.
I am lost. I download the FFextension and checked settings. Then I click on the icon, but it does nothing. I am on setup page talking about Pro version. I am logged in, but it does nothing. Must be missing something basic here. Thanks.
OK. I think I see. No email, unless Pro. The other features do appear to show up now in my browser as I am on DAZ3D site. (Think I was logged out.) Notifying on the icon on the tool bar would be nice. Any other notification methods than email?
Email is the notification method. You can then set up anything you'd like with that. Phone notification, home automation, etc.
One of our Internet providers is going to have a scheduled maintenance this evening. According to their notice, anything that relies on our servers will be unavailable for around half an hour sometime between 20:00 and 22:00 UTC tonight (May 12, 2025).
Thanks for letting us know.
I just printed my purchases and none of them had the sales price charts. I am also noticing that Gallery and Forum links don't seem to available. It is possible that twelve items had no linked comments or linked mentions in the galleries. Even the Commercial thread for one didn't link to it. But some of the others have been around awhile, picked them up in the Flash Sale today. But I thought I would mention this.
I have had no issue with email notifications, nor printing my promos three days ago. Price history and links showed then.
Well, that was announced, right?
That was well after 12 hours after the scheduled maintenance. I was printing my promo images at around 3pm MDT in Denver CO yesterday. Okay, now I see, I had to look up a chart, that was 10pm in London. It has been a long time to think in that way. And I was in a lot of pain and had dilated eyes still from an exam.
I hope something can be done so that the error this morning that made a bunch of things $0.60 doesn't affect Daz Deals. There's now hundreds of items that list the "recent best" as $0.60 even though they've never gone below like $30. Be a real pain if any actual good discounts on these don't cause emails/notifications for the next year because they're not as low as $0.60
They WERE at that price for quite a few hours, though. There's a $0.99 sale going on right now, I assume it was something similar yesterday?
The 0.99 today is part of the new Outlet for legacy items and seems correct.
For around an hour at most and it was a bug: instead of setting the base discount at 60%, the person creating the sale set the price of everything at $0.60.
In the same vein, most items for which the lowest price is February the 28th, were priced this low due to a bug (someone mixed the discounts and applied them in the reverse order: vintage items had the newest items discounts and vice-versa).
In both situation, your crawler likely saw price staying low for longer because Daz usually don't flush the cache immediatly (I don't know why), so items will be shown at their incorrect price for hours but adding them to the cart will show the intended price.
The $0.60 yesterday was 100% an error. It's been stated in multiple other forums and it's clear from the fact that it only affected the PAs who were supposed to be in a 60% discount sale but all their stuff dropped to $0.60
Is there really no way to ignore/exclude the drop to $0.60 a couple weeks ago from the price history? There are things in my wishlist that would be notifying me of "Best price in 1 year" but they aren't because the price isn't as low as the $0.60 error. I have items that are at the lowest price they've ever been at, but I wouldn't have known without going through and manually checking the price chart for what their actual "recent best" is (because it shows as $0.60).
