  • Having a problem with a couple of downloads,,,

    Steam Powered Dirigible, SKU 61741, it lists Daz Central, DazConnect, DIM, Manual Install as install types on the product page.

    There are no downloadable files listed on the product page in my product library. It is empty of any downloads.

    Yuletide Treasure Tree, SKU 79908,  it lists Daz Central, DazConnect, DIM, Manual Install as install types

    DazConnect Offline package is the only download listed on the product page in my product lirary, problem is the Authorization File downloaded fine, the DazConnect file gives this error every time I click the link.

    {
      "code": "not_found",
      "message": "File with such name does not exist.",
      "status": 404
    }

    A couple of weeks ago I purchased Accelerator for UltraScenery, SKU 74497.

    This item also says on the product page that the install types are Daz Central, DazConnect, DIM, Manual Install.

    On the product page of my product library it lists these two files,

    IM00074497-02_AcceleratorforUltraSceneryforDAZStudio45Win64bit.zip

    IM00074497-04_AcceleratorforUltraSceneryforDAZStudio45Mac64bit.zip

    Neither one of these file have a linked download button. I filled out a trouble ticket and was told that there is no manual install for this item.

    Then what is the zip file that I downloaded?  IM00074497-01_AcceleratorforUltraSceneryStudioContent.zip

    And if there is no manual install, why are there file names of the product zip files listed on my downloads page without a link?

    Is anybody else having these type of problems with their files (particularly the items mentioned) or should I just give up and ask for my money back?

    Thanks for any insight you may have

    Steam Powered Dirigble: Download types are all the way at the bottom of the page, after the list, so if you have a full page of products it isn't apparent unless you scroll to the bottom. Obviously, the formatting is not quite right. If you filter on Dirigible, your list will shorten to one or two items, then you'll see it easily. Those download links also don't go away if you select another product, so that bit of info is definitely misplaced.

    The UltraScenery Accelerator shows three files for me, the content and the two you listed. Only the content has a Manual button for download, the other two are DIM and Connect only. That might be by design, though.

    Can't say for Yuletide Treasure Tree, but it is new today, so it might still be having problems starting out. Happens more than it should.

  • Thank You NorthOf45, I would not have thought to look at the bottom of the page but did find the downloads, LOL

    That's pretty much what the trouble ticket folks said about the UltraScenery files, I just find it confusing that the name of the files are listed if it's not available. I'll get it sometime when I run a cable across 2 room and a hallway to do general updates. (desktop with no wireless card and no network jacks running in the walls)

    Being Sunday, I'll wait til tomorrow on a fix for the Yuletide Tree

    Thanks Again!

    The opions to sort the store by wishlist, owned and sale percentage no longer work for me (Firefox on Windows).

    (Already deleted the browser history and looged out and in again.)

    These are all features of the browser addon: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106296/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on/p1

    You need to update to the new version of the addon after the store update. See the above thread for details.

    Thanks Kerya. It seems my browser is suffering some kind of bug. I can't see that line of text in the browser. I see it in the screenshot you & Taozen sent, but not in my browser.

    Does that include a free upgrade to 10 (it does if you buy it on the Filter Forge site) ?

    ...yeah, but it wouldn't have been able to get it for 27$  Been on my wishlist for a while, and I just need it to expand into texture creation for my needs. It has all the basic tools I need for map creation and I can optimise them for Iray.

    Crikey I'm still on the 4.12.0.47 Beta as it's been so stable for me.  Not a PA (and no inclination to become one), older Xeon six core CPU, DDR3 memory, rendering on Maxxwell generation GPUs, I don't bother with dForce, and I don't really need filament rendering as I don't create animations,

    I'm satisfied with the purchase even with it being an older version.

    when I bought FF8 through Daz I reached out to  directly to FF and asked them if I could get the upgrade to 9 since I bought through DAZ and all they needed was my confirmation showing I had bought it and when the new one was released they did give me the upgrade.  they were fantastic to work with!

    Yes, I did that too with FF 7 to 8, was just wondering if they had changed their policy.  BTW, how do you get it for $27?  Current price in the store is $99.

     ...I got it here (Ver. 7) as it was discounted at 50% for a day and my Loyalty Bonus increased the total discount.to 72%

    I went to FF's site and the uipgrade page, put my serial number in and it came back with 199$ to upgrade to ver. 9 forwhat they referred to as "Professional Edition Lifetime".  Not sure what they meant by that but it is awfully steep considering just buying FF 9 straight off on their site is now 79$ (icluding the free upgrade to FF10) . When I changed my version to FF8 I then got an actual upgrade price of 52$, so I guess FF7 doesn't qualify for the upgrade discount.

    Evne though PBR textures were not incorporated into Filter Forge until Ver. 9, I wonder, couldn't I just create a texture and then use the Daz general Uber Iray shader preset to optimise it for Iray like one would do with 3DL or older Poser shaders?

    ETA:  I sent them a message (I don't use either of the services that block their servers) inquiring about this.  If not, I onlg bought it here a couple days ago so I do have time to get a refund and then buy FF9 Pro directly.from their site.

    Me, too.  Sometimes knowing that more textures are available leads me to buy something I might not otherwise.  If the textures have non-standard names, they won't show up in a search.

    Ever get the feeling that the people who worked on the store changes never actually thought about how people use the store?

    Lifetime license means free upgrades "forever" (as long at the program is being developed), so if you can afford it and consider upgrading anyway when new upgrades are out it's usually a good deal.  The downside is if the company goes out of business or abandons the program soon after.  Those I have though are still being developed now after 5-10 years.

    If however it's something like "unlimited online backup storage forever" or something else that doesn't sound economically viable for any company, you better stay away.

    Still getting logged out of DIM at least once a day. I was about to install something, and... Ding! What kind of mess would that make if it was in the middle of installing? DIM refreshes everything again in offline mode, and it takes anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes (depends how much is still cached) before I can continue. Another 5 to 20 minutes when I need to go back online again.

  • Many of us have mentioned this, and it's all I have posted about in the last month, but every time I mention it, nobody more official seems to want to acknowledge it. The Add-On section of every page that needs to mention them doesn't have them, even after all this time. Why was this even taken from the page design? Seems counter-intuitive to the business side of things to take away the links to add-on items. Well, I don't expect an answer, since it has never been addressed by anyone with greater access to those in the know, so I guess in another month I can ask again why the feature isn't there yet...

    This has become a thread that serves as an outlet for us customers to express our desires. Ever so rarely the overlords stoop to address chosen comments with a question or acknowledgement. When was the last time the OP was updated?

    Others have voiced your query. Requests for the removal of the default Hide Items I Own on the Search function has also been resoundingly ignored.

    So just checking in- have most folks' DIM problems been solved? I haven't had that annoying too many server connections popup lately, except when I leave DIM running while I'm off doing other things. I'm not having any trouble with downloads the past week, either.

    Yeah, DIM's been back to normal for me recently. yes

    The problem many of us have with not being to log on to DIM has NOT been solved by Tech Support... However, I have a temporary fix for anyone with access to a second laptop/PC (possibly Mac, too?): I installed DIM onto my non-render laptop, and that let me log in to DIM there, so I now can download new products/updates; then I copy the Install Manager 'Downloads' folder from my laptop to the Install Manager folder on my render PC, where I can now see the new/updated files on DIM's 'Ready To Install' tab.

    I let TS know, in case it helps them fix the underlying problem.

    @dragonfly_2004  Did you try what tech support told me to do? The creating a new account, login with it to DIM, log out, then try using your regular account to log in and download? That fixed it for me and a few other people. Sorry you're still having that issue.

    I've noticed that some of the products in my Product Library won't load, so I'm currently scanning through them all with a script to see what's going on.  It appears that for those that won't load (a lot actually) the server returns this:  "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error."  I'm just wondering if it's specific for my account or it's general.  Here's a list of some of these products, if someone who have some of them care to check if they will load in their own library:

    ...received a reply and FF7 is not eligible for an upgrade to FF9 (Clo would accept upgrades from the last two versions count towards purchase of the latest version of MD as did Corel with PSP).   I replied asking them about details of the Lifetime Licence deal, however your reply above pretty much answers that question.

    Again, I was wondering if I could use the generic Iray Uber shader to convert textures created in FF7 to Iray or would I be better off purchasing FF9 for 79$ from their site.   In the case of the latter, I would also request a refund for FF7. that I bought here though that would-be store credit.  Kind of a tough choice as I recently had one of my monitors go out and need to get a replacement. (working in Daz on a single display is a pain as it makes for a too small of a viewport and a lot of busywork shuffling tabs around as I usually have all the tool tabs on one screen and just the viewport with the render settings tab on the other).

    OK, looks like the problem with these items is specific for my account then.  It's consistent, it's the same items that fail every time I try so it doesn't seem to be random server errors.  I have no problems with these items in DIM though, I have downloaded everything and they are all there.

    I imagine that others may have problems with certain items also then, in their accounts.  I have over 18000 products so in total it only seem to be a small percentage of them that fail to load, so you may not discover it if you only use the library occasionally and don't run into these.

    I'll put the scanner program up for download in case others want to scan their accounts.

    Checked a few on your list @taoz It does appear to be unique to you.

    All Dream Home I test appear to be fine. Same with:

    Lisa's Botanicals- Wisteria

    Actual Eyes 3

    Luminous Casual Hair

    Bridal Dress Design Kit for the Mfd

    one of the reasons I won't touch FilterForge is I got burnt buying the standard version at 3 years and years ago and getting no discounts whatsoever trying to upgrade and to make it worse I paid full price and all the offers since for pro have been much less than what I paid (over $200) I would rather use free software now and there is plenty out there such as Quixel Mixer but honestly I don't see the point of FilterForge at all when I can do most of what it does in Carrara wilth the Veloute shaders anyway.
